Everything from start to finish was handled pretty well. The receptionist greeted me and got me checked in fast. Inside the exam room the nurse asked a good amount of questions and seemed like they actually cared. The doctor didn't keep me waiting long and gave good feedback based on what I said. They didn't talk over me or rush through it. It felt like a real conversation which doesn't always happen. They also checked on past concerns to see if things improved. Professional atmosphere but not too formal. Would recommend but there's always room for improvement. read more

For the ophthalmology department~ Do not recommend. Will not return. The woman at registration desk was 5 stars. Also, never sign a paper when your eyes are dilated and have been through trauma, so you can't see, and when you repeatedly ask the nurse? what the paper specifically says it's skirted over until finally you're told to ask the doctor when he comes in, yet he does similar. This is my location for all my girly needs and I cannot thank Dr. Jerome Gabriel & the friendly staff enough always providing THE BEST service!!! My appointments always start off with a friendly smile as I check in with Anthony [tall, Filipino gentleman]. He is always prompt, friendly, and has absolutely amazing taste in music. Emy is normally the next person I encounter and I appreciate her warmth, patience, and welcoming attitude. Emy always takes the time to walk me through whatever our visit will entail and she goes out of her way to schedule my visits in advance due to my conflicting work schedule. Dr. Gabriel eventually makes his way in and I find myself in & out pretty quickly. Never a single complaint since I switched over to having him as my physician and I appreciate his kindness, calmness, and his excellent communication skills for any|all patients. As someone recovering from domestic violence, the staff as well as Dr. Rita Raman did an amazing job making me feel as comfortable and safe as possible throughout my visit. It was my first appointment with Dr. Raman despite my OB-GYN being at another location and by the end of my appointment I decided to make the switch to have her as my current OB-GYN :)! Since I was new to a lot of the checkups/procedures/tests, coming from a traditional and conservative family, I was really nervous for what to expect. After letting Dr. Raman know, she took her time to walk me through everything making sure that I was okay with every step from start to finish. With her big smile and melodic voice, I felt confident and more knowledgeable on my health and body. She even took the time to notify me of lab work on my profile that I had waiting to get done when I never knew! At the end of my appointment, all I can say is that I was pretty grateful that there are doctors like her who are gentle and kind in every way and I'm happy that my decision to try out a new Kaiser location ended up working out for the better. read more

This place is so dead, and the people who work at the Optical Center are flat out rude!! The receptionist to the staff who help clients pick out their glasses!! It's funny b/c their department is the only place with the most visitors and the most in & outs! For a place so dead , you would think they'd value clients!! We are here to purchase eye glasses from them, they are making money off of us... have some respects for your clients.. I hear the visitors talking and it seems like the receptionist is new here.. Gotta have proper training to be good in any role. My review is not about my doctor ... however it has to do with the receptionists at the registration area. Unbelievable how rude, condescending and unprofessional they are. I literally walked in from one wing of the unit navigating through a crowd and I get yelled over them.assuming I was in line. I had to not once but twice tell her I'm not in line and she can change her tone. I never engaged with any of them, I was simply walking by heading to my area and the lady proceeded to raise her voice and have a nasty tone. The registration workers are extremely loud and you can hear their gossip from down the hall to begin with but the nerve to yell at me while walking by just cause and then not even apologize after correcting her was absurd. Second visit to Kaiser for OBGYN appointment. After the first visit the other day, I had high hopes to have another good experience. The lady at the registration who checked me in was nice. Since it's my first OBGYN visit, it's free of charge! Didn't expect that. I waited for about 20 minutes after passing my appointment time, the MA finally came to take me to the exam room. The visit with doctor was okay. She chatted a lot, made me feel not so nervous. However, when she was examining my breast, she was quick. Perhaps she's really good at it, but it was too quick to make me feel that she's perfunctory. And, when she was performing a pap smear on me, she was still talking without mask on. I would feel more comfortable if she had a mask on. read more

This is Kaiser Center for the Flu/Covid shots, among other things. The center is well organized. There is a dedicated staff who was quite good at crowd management. The only reason for 3 stars is that it takes a long time to get the shot. We almost missed our other appointment even after going in 1hr earlier. read more

Came here for a flu shot 3 times and was unable to get one. First time came after lunch time at 2pm, it was still closed for lunch 30minutes after saying that the line was too long in the morning, so lunch time was moved, ok, came 2nd time and they removed me from the queue saying they don't have enough nurses to complete 3h line already... 3rd time I came in little after 3pm - they are supposed to be open till 4:30 I even called in before driving here and was assured they are open till 4:30 - guess what.. they were not letting in any more people saying that the line will take 3h RIDICULOUS PLACE avoid it and avoid Kaiser all-together the most frustrating insurance ever, never had so many issues with appointments and basic flu shot when I was with Anthem!!!!! 2nd thing - It has been a year but still can't get it out of my mind. Review is for cleanliness in OBGYN department. My appointment was with very nice and helpful doctor that ordered all the necessary tests, but when I was dressing back on my sock fell behind the chair I took it out covered in giant dustball with bundle of different kind of hair.. gross and nasty, I almost threw up, threw my sock out and put on my shoes barefoot..... I had my doubts about cleanliness of everything else there! Also I was waiting very long time, over 1h even though I had an appointment and equipment was not working so had to change room before doctor came in. Bathrooms are also dirty. Place is filled with robots instead of humans. NPCs tell you to wait in your car if you're early. I'm ok with that part, but don't be rude and aggressive about it. One of the staff looked like he wanted to assault me for asking to stay in the lobby--even being masked and vaxxed. Go to another Kaiser. The staff at other branches I've been to were very friendly and kept better health regulations. Stay safe everyone. Came here today for an OB/GYN appointment and although I love my new OB/GYN, this Kaiser is just in major need of a facelift. When you enter, there's a centralized registration area but if you've checked in online, there's this tiny kiosk you're supposed to scan your code in. There should be signs at all the entrances or in the registration line to point to that spot if you've pre-checked in. After the appointment, I had to pick up a prescription. I walked into the pharmacy and was waiting for some time but my name wasn't popping up. I went in line and apparently they didn't even have my medication there as they don't stock it...why even put it to this pharmacy if there's nothing to pick up? Thank goodness the person who was dealing with me at Pharmacy called up the main Milpitas pharmacy and they had it there. So I just quickly drove over and in a few minutes, they called my name and I was done. I wish there was a big sign to just check in immediately after an appointment to ensure that the medicine is there or even alert the Doctor that it's not available at this pharmacy and to provide other options. Feels super disjointed. Still, I'll be back here again for my OB/GYN appointments as Dr. Lin was superb. She was very helpful and really explained things so that it was in layman's terms. I've never learned so much in my many years of going into appointments for my lady parts. She is a 5-star in my book, but this Kaiser location overall is just...meh. read more

My dad's wound was leaking yellow fluid so his family doctor sent him to wound care center to clean it every day. The first time he went to wound care center, they clean it very well and he liked it. That was two year ago. This year, same problem, he made an appt and went to the same place. The lady just removed the dirty pad, and apply the new pad on. The wound was leaking a lot of yellow fluid but she didn't clean it at all. My dad decided to go to a different Kaiser location since the service at this location is not good anymore. read more

Had to go through 6 people transferring me to get an appointment and then when it's time for my appointment they cancel me. I had just left the emergency room the other day and these inhumane people deny me medical aid for my follow up. I will never have Kaiser again. I hope Karma serves you the same dish. Mental Health department is still a JOKE. They cannot follow simple instructions when I mentioned since JAN 2021, I'm unable to access my messages or check anything on my account. They had an IT email me TWICE about my issue and it's still the same. Therapist & psychologist left Kaiser mid Feb 2022, I had requested 2 people beginning of Feb as a replacement and mentioned FIVE FKN TIMES that I have NO ACCESS to my messages and that any notifications need to be called or mailed to me. 1 month goes by and no response from staff. Called them to ask what happened while being interrupted 3 TIMES. Turned out they messaged me through kaiser's site and closed the case after 2wks! Now I'm on the waitlist when I should've been approved already & my depression/anxiety is getting worse and I actually liked both my therapist & psychologist! The two ladies at the reception are friendly. They are very friendly, help you out with insurance and visit questions. They also proactively check.if you are coming for flu shits and pulling them off the line and handling the line in a efficient manner. The Nurses and doctors seem to enjoy their work, no stress which means good service for the patients. :) They have a lot of magazines and information material that you can use while you wait. wifi works without a glitch. water dispenser, hand sanitizer all pretty standard. Only issue is.. People act stupid double parking or parking huge ass cars in compact parking. read more

My company made a switch to Kaiser since the begining of this year. This is my first visit at Kaiser optometry department and I'm impressed at the level of services they provided. Had my appointment scheduled at 8 AM one week ahead. I was assisted promply as soon as I arrived at 8 AM. The receptionist was super friendly and helpful, she helped me to fill out all the required information. After all the information were completed, she introduced briefly about about Kaiser and she offered to show me around, then finally walked me to optometry department. As soon as I arrived, about 30 seconds wait, I was greeted by Dr. Jane Chi with a professional handshake. Dr. Jane Chi was super friendly, professional, passionate at her job, and no doubt, knowledgeable. She earned her undergraduate degree at UC davis, too. GO AGGIES! She explains all the check up procedure, results, and questions I had, in full details. Few contact numbers were provided and clearly explained, whether what to expect, and where to call in case any issue comes up. She even talked about glasses selections and discount offered at Kaiser. After check up, Dr. Jane Chi offered to walk me over Vision Essentials and briefly introduced me to two middle aged filipino ladies, so that they can help me with the glasses selection. Though, those two ladies were mediocres, just happened to be there for the paychecks. Overall, the visit was amazing, I will definitely be back for the next check up. Cheers! read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. They cancel important screening appointments without telling you, doctors will tell you one thing but do another, and the MA's are extremely rude. Staff will block parking lot driveways to carry on conversation even though you are clearly trying to get past them. They also walk aimlessly through parking lot texting but get mad and flustered when you drive too close to them. I live closer to here but will gladly drive over 30 min to San Jose Kaiser to get treated by professionals. read more

Usually only come here for women's health services. My doctor is great, I see her maybe once a year and she always makes me feel comfortable. I'm very surprised she remembered stuff about me. The medical assistants are always nice (from what I remember) and even the people at the check in kiosks were nice. I had a whole issue with my insurance and Marisol at the check in kiosk helped me out so much. She talked to all these different people on the phone for me and still managed to be nice and professional about everything with me even when I was getting frustrated. Y'all the best ! read more

At first I thought that this Kaiser was nice but when I walked inside it looked so ghetto. Their signs are white sheets of paper with black printed ink and on the bottom of some they DREW arrows as to where you would go. The employees were rude and unhelpful. Coming into the building there was this stench, smelling like poo. Also, the room where they had me and my mom waiting was not fixed, old patient clothing still on the floor, the room did not look clean at all. I would defenately NOT recommend this Kaiser facitlity until they do some major changes. read more

Our appointment was at 3:15 for my wife(as she was feeling faint and lightheaded which was probably due to the pregnancy). We waited in the room for 30 minutes before the doctor came in. I even took a powernap; woke up and still waited for the doctor while my wife sat around. These doctors need to speed up or at least let us know they will take 30 or so minutes late, rather than let us wait around. Very disappointed, especially since I took off work early to make the appointment on time. Classless waste of vacation day at work. read more

Kaiser is pretty awesome. I've been with Kaiser for some time now and my overall experience has been great. I've visited this location many times for different types of appointments, and services here have always been great. The staff is always professional and prompt and the facility is nice and clean. All departments seem to be very organized. The staff members are helpful and patient, from front end receptionists to nurses and doctors. Hats off to Dr Louie as he was super patient and knowledgeable. He took extra time to explain everything in details and gave me his unbiased medical opinion which was much appreciated. read more

I just left an appointment for contact lens fitting and was told it is $120 for a fitting if you have astigmatism. I asked if the additional fee covered the cost of the contact lenses, and was told no. I then asked why it was $120 when for people without astigmatism there is no charge, and was told because contacts for people with astigmatism cost more... So I walked out. This was after I was told that Lasik would not solve my problems because, since I'm almost 40 (I'm 37) I will need reading glasses soon so I will still need glasses even if they correct my myopia.... I had a follow up appointment yesterday evening. On Tuesdays, they have a night clinic which is usually offered only to new clients, but since I suppose there were lots of openings (which is why they booked me then.) I checked in 10 minutes before my appointment time. I sat down in the lobby to wait my turn (there were only a few others waiting), and was called in right away by the eye assistant-- the one who runs all those routine eye tests before you meet with the doctor. The tests took about 5 mins total, then I was ushered to Dr Ly's office, where I was instructed to wait as she "would be in shortly". I ended up waiting a total of 20 minutes in her office for her to finish up with her patient (I could hear them in the room next to me). I was pretty irritated because I'm currently uncovered until January when my new insurance kicks in, and I have been paying out-of-pocket each time to see her... which is an arm and a leg... omg. So naturally, I'm annoyed about the delay. She finally comes in to see me, makes a sympathetic comment about how expensive it is to see her, but doesn't apologize about the wait. Whatever. Anyway, looks like my condition had improved and since she knew how much I was paying just for each visit, she didn't schedule a follow up appointment, offering me the option to email her with any non-urgent questions. If anything weird or out of the ordinary happened, I could then schedule an appointment for a follow up. That was nice of her to keep the patient (me) in mind. However, seems like you will always have to wait long after your scheduled time at this department. So 2 stars. read more

I had visited the Kaiser Milpitas eye clinic several times, My primary ophthalmologist is Dr Tina Ku, she is a excellent Dr in eye clinic, she diagnosed that my left eye retinal has hole, laser therapy was done two years ago. Last year I was also diagnosed with cataract on both eyes, the surgeries were needed, Dr Ku is very professional , very knowledgeable, very concerned, friendly and very patient , she treated all her patients with respect and dignity. Before the surgeries, she explained to me all the procedures, all the risk factors for cataract surgery, the lens choice,she even ordered my eye measurements twice to make sure the test was accurate, although she was very busy , she had called me 4 times just tried to explain to me the choice of mono focal IOL and Multiple focal IOL, I was very confused and unable to make right decision, she was very professional and very nice , not getting upset with me, I have very nice experience with Dr Ku, she has provided the best care to her parents, I am very happy to be under her care. I don't know what everyone's issues have been. When I saw the low rating, I wanted to give my two cents, because I really don't think it's deserved. I've gone to almost every department here..if not all... And I've always had such wonderful experiences! I come on time, and know exactly what I'm supposed to do. They have an excellent system that is easy to follow, and is the SAME cross-center. Showing up early is a good call for any doctors office. There is usually someeeee thing you're suppose to do. Fill out forms, answer questions- they want to be able to assist you and keep everything current. If there IS a wait, get over it- honestly. You're going to the doctor, not a drive thru. There are other people that need help- have you ever considered that they are probably in more Need of help than you anyways? My doctors have been great, receptionists have been, too. Receptionists are always smiling. I think it's a requirement to work there- no joke. In reference to the medication being expensive, have you ever discussed alternatives with your doctor? Generic, other pharmacies, etc.? If not, maybe take that route rather than getting angry that they aren't "cheap enough" for you. In general, they want the best for you and your health. I came here for an eye check up. Dr. Louie was great. He explained to me why my vision was not 20/20. I always thought it was because of watching too much TV, reading in the dark, or not eating enough carrots. Dr. Louie just laughed it off and told me that my parents probably wanted me to study more when I was younger. Blame it on my parents that I have this eyesight. It's genetic. I learned something new that I didn't know. I have long eyeballs! Yes, that's what the doctor said. Who would have thought? He explained to me about my eyeballs with a model. He offered a great service and suggested that maybe a different pair of contacts is better for my eyes. Then, we talked about glasses. I told him I didn't have glasses for over 10 years. He was shocked. I suppose I needed a back up just in case...So, I headed to the optical department and tried to pick out glasses. I was almost like in a candy shop...but with glasses, trying on almost every pair of glasses near their end of the day. The optician didn't usher me out the door, instead she told me to try on as many as I want and helped me pick one that best suited me. Yes, she was also understanding of the costs of glasses since I also planned on purchasing contacts. ;) You know what that means? :P I left the optical department happily knowing that I made a great choice. Milpitas dermatology sucks!! My apmt was at 8:30 am, finished paying copay at 8:32 am and receptionist told me since i am late i might have to wait a bit..a bit is few minutes in my dictionary...no problems!! After waiting till 9:30 finally i was told i will be seen at 11..you got to be kidding me, i don't consider myself to be late and even if i was- it was just 2 mins and for that they want me to wait till 11 :-(( there reasoning 8:45 am person came early and so on all the patients after me..finally i rescheduled to this week at 8:30 :-( Guess what!! again same thing happened this week...I was 2-3 min late and my two options were either to sit all day and wait for a patient to not show or come very late or reschedule :( ..Nurse tells me "oh front desk did not inform me that you are here" (as if that's my mistake!!) All I was there for to give them a skin scratch sample to be sent to lab for testing- 5 mins job at max I am not proud of being reaching at last minute but this place is very far from me and morning traffic is a killer This is not just it, in the reminder email the phone# mentioned does not take you to correct dept and from there you are forwarded 20 times and every time someone will give you incorrect extension.. When i finally get to see doctor she sent my prescription to a diff pharmacy than i wanted which is open only til 9-5 and unfortunately my work/home is 30 miles from there and i don't get to leave work so early I don't know what they can do correctly....all in all, my skin infection healed while trying to reach nurse, doctor and getting them to send me prescription to right pharmacy Not going there ever again!! read more

One of the worst shuttle drivers I have seen for Kaiser. When driving a shuttle with people inside maybe its best to be aware of your surroundings especially in the rain. Also there's a device created to indicate other drivers to know the direction in which when you're turning I heard it's a very useful tool when driving. Whoever is in charge of there shuttle drivers should go back to driving school and learn how to drive. read more

I didn't used to be so impressed with Kaiser, but they have improved their service immensely. They are always quick and friendly and concerned. They are touchy feely which I'm sure they've been instructed to do. I like it. I am a fan of Kaiser now. I am glad that my company goes through them. I like that they have classes for a lot of things like quitting smoking and losing weight. I like how certain services are free, like breast exam and Pap smear and I like how they call and remind you when you are due for your screenings and stuff. I hope that future employers go through Kaiser too. read more

I was so anti-Kaiser until I was forced to go with Kaiser due to health care reform and the cost of "affordable coverage" on the rise. I have to say, I've had better service with Kaiser than any other PPO provider. My OB-GYN is amazing! Janelle Ogura & her staff were so warm and inviting, making me feel completely at ease. The best thing is that I can e-mail my doctors whenever I have a simple question, saving me an office visit co-pay! I love it! I've converted my parents over to Kaiser as well now! read more
