Main Hospital building and Medical Office 1

This has been my regular medical facility for the past several years and I love it! It's a huge campus, always busy, but you can take care of everything at one location, and once you learn the "patterns", you can avoid long lines for things like the pharmacy and labs. The staff is friendly and very efficient with getting you processed for whatever you need. The facility itself is usually very clean, and I love all the artwork throughout the campus, hallways, and offices. There's a huge parking garage, but it's busy so allow yourself a little extra time for parking and walking to your appointment. I recently had a hip replacement surgery which went so smoothly. Even the follow up appointment with x-rays was a breeze. The entire staff were very kind and super caring for my concerns. This campus is beautiful, including modern architecture, comfortable waiting areas, a lake, and exercise stations around the outdoor courtyards. They also have a remote Starbucks for your refreshment needs.

I contacted my doctor via a telephonic phone appointment to discuss prescribing an anxiety medication, as I will be flying to Florida in two weeks with my daughter's high school marching band, and I am not a fan of flying. A few years ago, I had a negative experience while flying through a lightning storm en route to Mexico City, and since then, I have avoided flying. Back to my doctor, while on my phone appointment, my doctor asked me a few questions about my anxiety, which we discussed, and he ended up prescribing a medication to calm my nerves before my scheduled flight. My doctor was excellent, understanding, and comforting; the pharmacy employees who helped me pick up my medication were helpful and friendly; and parking was a breeze. My experience with Kaiser during this instance and all of my previous contacts with Kaiser, for numerous reasons, always leave me grateful that I have Kaiser as my primary medical provider.

From labor to delivery to postpartum, I felt that my fiancé and I have really been surprised with the level of care we received We never felt rushed or anybody was pushy. Everybody from the staff was extremely nice, friendly and calm. The delivery room was much larger than I expected and had everything we need along with the postpartum room we were able to watch TV and have room service basically. My fiancé was able to get the care she needed along with our new baby having expert help

Just listening to good music and good vibes and la chisma (very interesting and I like this place....felt like home for a cool minute).

I was taken care of very well. I came in with a stupid bad sore throat, couldn't even contain any of my food. I coughed so much that I threw up (kept saying it often lol). I'm glad I was given a simple liquid solution that numbed my throat, that was I could finally rest in peace hahaha (not R.I.P.). Music was bumpin and they didn't even mind (because it was chill music). I like it, corporate may say no to them playing music but honestly music in the hospital is just what people need ya know.

The best ER experience ever the fact that the wait time was over five hours and I got in the ER in under 30 minutes was awesome sauce. From the intake nurse to the ER nurse to Gina who fixed my broken ankle cast. The best ER experience I have ever had especially on New Year's Day. I must admit this time around the emergency room was pretty decent

I am deeply grateful to the Kaiser Baldwin Park Hospital 5 East care team. After waiting 7 hours and suffering in the emergency room, I was immediately admitted to the hospital. I experienced severe pain, repeated infections, high fever, and extreme weakness. Even during the most difficult moments, every doctor and nurse treated me with professionalism, patience, and genuine care. After I was discharged, the hospital continued to send a nurse to my home every week to check my vitals and monitor my recovery. Today, I received a card from the team, and I want to express my sincere appreciation. Thank you to everyone who took care of me. - Patient from Room 5031

Stopped by on Saturday, 01/18/25 for my Optometry (Vision Essentials) appointment. I believe this is the only Vision Essentials location (near Pomona) that's open on Saturdays, hence the crowded, busy lines. Baldwin Park Medical Center and the Medical Office Building (MOB) is probably one of the largest KP facilities in SoCal. There is also a Thrive Path, which is essentially a walking pathway encouraging members and visitors to WALK! Additionally, there is a playground site for the kiddos and also a beautiful pond filled with cute ducks. Overall, a spectacular view. There is also a cafeteria that sells Starbucks coffee. There is also a Starbucks store near the pond area. I ordered a warm matcha latte and the matcha powder wasn't mixed properly. If you're driving the 10 East or West, you can see this amazing place.

NOT KAISER! Because you'll be in the dirt before they see you!

As we arrived to take my 91 yr old mother to her appointment, having 16 daily total appointments, apparently one of the male workers explained that we have been late everyday for the past week since we started taking my mother and they been accommodating us, which is untrue and unfounded. They have not been accommodating us, in fact we are the ones waiting to be called when arriving early. I explained we haven't been late as the appointment was at 10:45am and not 10:00am as he stated. The worker stated he wouldn't be able to see my mother today since we were late and had other patients. After review of the print out of all 16 appointments, today appointment was in fact at 10:00am as the worker said but every other appointment was at 10:45am. Now sharing rides among 3 of my siblings, we have been sharing, taking my mother to her appointments. Some coming from different areas Covina, Glendora, and Pasadena not knowing traffic and to be late, didn't feel we should have been treated and scolded when we been there on time. I felt if we need to wait, when we're early for appointments, sometimes over 30 minutes, a few minutes shouldn't be an issue. I sure hope they have the same schedule as given. Maybe practice on better service skills and review the schedule times, before assuming we are late numerous of times.

My mother's been in pain and constantly telling him, but it doesn't seem like he would want to do anything to help her, just showing no sign of effort. Saying something down the line like there's no need for you to do chemo anymore since nothing is working. Hope this message reaches out to future cancer patients because it would suck if you have to deal with someone like Hank on a Thursday afternoon. I wish for everyone to receive good health and good service from doctors because that's where our tax dollars are going, not to some grumpy old man that can't do his job right and gives up in a heartbeat.

So unless you want your love one to be misdiagnosed and treated like they are annoyance for PAYING to see a doctor, find someone, anyone else.

He understood and was very kind to me. We discussed the procedure that would be best for my situation. I was given a list of preparations to complete before the surgery to protect me from any infection. The people he had in the operating room were very professional, but kind. The procedure was done orthoscopically. Upon waking up I had almost no feeling of pain at all. I was amazed feeling like I was ready to go home. After laying there for about an hour I was able to go home. I had previously had another ovarian cyst removed by another doctor and it was removed more like a c-section and took about a week to feel better. Not here though, I was quite amazed. Dr Schlaerth is an amazing doctor. He is patient to listen, kind and understanding and I feel so blessed to have been directed to his carer.

Similar to Samantha's review, Dr. Gargi left my mom and I in the dark for two weeks. She diagnosed…read moremy mom with terminal cancer and then proceeded to be out of the office when we needed to schedule a port installation and the following chemo treatments. Initially, she told us that the hospital more local to my mom's area would not take her insurance and do the chemo treatments there. She also told us that my mom had to get her port installed in West Covina. We would see her in Alta Dena but now that I'm seeing the address on this yelp page, it makes sense why she wanted us to go to West Covina. She also wanted us to go to her friend's infusion clinic in North Hollywood while she built her own clinic. In a city like LA, Dr. Gargi was making it out to seem like the resources were limited or everything was so spread out. Since our calls went unanswered, we arranged for my mom to meet with another oncologist but that appointment would take another 3 weeks and couldn't be rushed. My mom wound up in the ER because she was in pain again and she was able to meet her new oncologist since he worked there. After he found out everything that Dr. Gargi had told us, he was livid and we found out that the information about the port, insurance, and everything was a lie. This happened in 2022 and I am so sad to see that she continues to operate in this manner. Please do not go to her infusion clinic, do not take her advice, and switch doctors immediately. She will not treat you or your family with the respect, honesty, and consideration you deserve. This is a person that sees illness as a business and nothing more...I don't know if she ever ended up opening her own infusion clinic but I just think a lot more things can go under the radar in a place like that. So please be careful. I wish I had read reviews on her before we continued with her...Even if my mom's cancer was terminal, it would at least get my mom on chemo sooner rather than later. My heart goes out to everyone who has had a terrible experience with Dr. Gargi. Out of all the jobs you could choose to be bad at, I just wish it wasn't oncology.

She ordered stat/urgent labs and chest X-rays that day, that were done . We called back various days with no answer for results as my father didn't appear well. We waited finally on June 20 after no answer we reached out to the pulmologist for guidance. (Dr Gargi had stated in that appointment that he needed fluid removed from lungs and then she would do a pet scan urgently to know what treatment he could receive) After not receiving a call back from her we reached out to the pulmologist and she referred him to the hospital on June 20, 2023. When in the hospital I called and left messages various times to let Dr Gargi know my dad was in the hospital and what were the next steps as oncologist in the hospital was saying he needed treatment asap. I told them what kind of treatment will you do on my father now that he passed away.
