Last month my Mounjaro was approved and I paid over $500 out of pocket. This month, after running out of medication, I was told I have to wait for another prior authorization. Patients shouldn't have to go without important medication because of repeated authorization delays. Awful experience with two female doctors. One in Canton and another video call. Really terrible. I do like the pharmacy and the fact everything is housed in one area. That's about it. The doctors don't listen, refer you to the wrong facilities, don't do what they say they are going to do. If you can stand having to babysit your doctor, correct them, go back for things they didn't do, and consistently watch and correct their notes and referrals, this is the plan for you. kaiser Recommended an appt for Flu/ Covid vaccines- made one. Arrived for what I believed to be an appt ( to avoid lines) However approximately 25mins PAST my schedules appt time I reach a staff member- who hands out forms for shots. and I look to my left and see an entire corridor of ppl in line. I ask Her where do I go as Ive an appt. She points to the end of another line and says: "There is only this line for ppl with -or- without appts. and most the ppl in line also have appts." It was another 45 minutes, In line, before I was taken into room for shots. 1 1/2 hours total and past my appt time! Im very upset the way this is being handled as I'm immune compromised and 80years young! Whoever thought this up should no longer be in the health care field! read more

They don't tell you when you can come for a flu shot and COVID booster. They told me to come before they closed. When I got there, they said I had to have been there some unknown amount of time before that. Useless. I hope I infect all of their families! read more

On Hold Again (Member Services) The last time was over an hour. This time I'm also over an hour. I am calling because the records I requested (to have sent to my new doctor) did not contain my MRI images as requested (using their online form and emailing it to the address they requested). They responded to the request and sent other information - so they got the request. I'm really trying to get a second opinion and they certainly don't make it easy. I changed providers for 2025 due to their seeming lack of caring. Just trying to move forward with someone else!! read more

Starting June 11th I had severe throat pain & a swollen uvula. I have had several urgent care, primary care & hospital visits. It took them a week to decide to send me to ENT. After several urgent care visits & even being monitored for tachycardia, which I still have. The worst part was being left outside in a wheelchair by a pharmacist. The day after I saw the first dr who said well its not strep but here's some sudafed go on home. I did a virtual to get numbing stuff for my throat. About 3 minutes from the pharmacy I started feeling lightheaded. Walking in I felt like I was going to pass out. I check in & immediately lay down, take off my jacket & lay there until im called. I leave my jacket & water where I was & as im paying im crouched down basically on my knees with my head on my arm. No one's concerned, no one asks are you good? I ask the pharmacist if someone can wheel me to my car. He wheels me outside the facility & says ma'am your water is spilling, which it did all of it all on my lady bits. He asked if I was good to walk I said no & he said he had to get back to the pharmacy. Thanks sir. Then about 2 minutes later security comes out I cant even lift my head I feel clammy & like im going to pass out & puke at the same time. He asks if im okay & I said no I need a dr. So he wheeled me down to urgent care where I waited to be assessed for about 45 minutes. Again clammy, cant hold my head up, super dizzy. They take me back & check my blood pressure. Next thing I know there's 5 people, the nurse asks if there's a bed available. I hear "I've taken her bp 4 times". Then a guy said "okay ma'am your bp is very low we're going to call 911". My bp was 60/40. If I would have waited for them maybe 5-10 minutes longer I probably would have coded. I rode to the hospital where they found a blood infection. HE LEFT ME OUTSIDE & WALKED AWAY. Kaiser couldn't find said infection in my blood. Its been 2 weeks. Im in unbearable pain and they refuse to help me with my pain. Again, they should have sent me to ENT a week before they decided to. They don't care about your health. They just want your money. read more

If I could give them a negative, I would. They take forever to even provide you with a simple proof of coverage. The most basic thing any insurance company could do, Kaiser of Georgia CANNOT do. They have you calling including the supervisors and one week later, they keep singing 'one business day' songs. One of their now retired nurse practitioners did such a shoddy job it took them 3 years to diagnose me with fibroids even though I brought it up severally and was popping up with terrible anemia and heavy menses twice a month. I almost died from that experience. At this point I'm wondering, is there anything Kaiser of Georgia can do really? Would never recommend. Avoid if you can. Had enough really! read more

I would like to commend Nurse Donnedria. She went above to help me. It's like she felt my concern and was not going to be satisfied until I was satisfied. Kaiser needs more like her especially in the Nurse Advice department. When you call for advice/ help you want someone concerned about you and your reason for calling. She did that and more. I'm actually an employee that has worked here for almost 9 years. I'm out of work and have been trying to get my FMLA pay due to an injury not work related. I haven't been paid in over a month but have 12 weeks of FMLA. Dr Eric Furie won't sign off on my paperwork. I'm not sure why, I've sent several messages with no response. I've called HR and get misinformation, I've called ROI and was told that my application was cancelled because someone thought it was a duplicate. My bills have now gotten behind because I'm hurt and my dr won't sign the paperwork. He ordered me to go to physical therapy which is $15/visit. How would you like for me to pay for it? How would you like for me to get to work if I have no gas or money for gas? I'm just confused. read more

I had a procedure done at the Kaiser facility in Jonesboro this afternoon and I would never return. I was told that I didn't need a driver and eat/drink lightly before my paracentesis. The nurse asked me to leave personal belongings with husband and they would call him to bring car around. He didn't receive a call and I had to use the security officer phone to inform him that I was ready. read more

I'm sad to write this as I do love my doctors at KP & the pharmacy as well. But this is targeted at the appointments/scheduling phone# 404-365-0966 in Georgia. I feel miserable today W/ Flu/Covid type symptoms. Attempted to Cancel/Reschedule my dermatology appt so that I don't have to spread this stuff to innocent bystanders, or vomit while there because we all know it spreads like wildfire even with with wearing masks and disinfecting your hands. She proceeds to tell me that I will have to pay the $25 cancellation fee although I called 6 hours before the appointment. I asked her if they prefer that I come in and get other sick and how that's a bit concerning. She skipped over that question. I mentioned Sr Citizens, Children, folks with terminal illnesses, etc. cannot afford to get sick. She tiptoed around it. Basically they want that $75 co-pay and if they can't get that, they want their measly $25 cancellation fee. I know it's not her fault but I mentioned how crazy it is that KP is that greedy not only for the money but greed over the care of patients/staff. Their marketing team sure does like to elude that KP cares. Actions speak volumes to me. My action will be paying the measly little $25 to be sick at home and not spread it... The worst to work with if anything goes wrong. They are super difficult to get testing done with if they refer you outside their network. It is long holds, no one getting back to you, and a serious of frustrations. Their pharmacy is even worse, auto denying medicines that are needed. I have a life threatening illness and they could not care less. read more

I love Kaiser! Dr Allia is a wonderful dr. She listens and takes care of any complaint I have. Its easy to get bloodwork or any testing I need. I go to the Town Park location in Kennesaw. read more

Meeting with my Kaiser PCP for video appointments has been less than satisfactory for me because I end up waiting and waiting and waiting way beyond the scheduled appointment time; today it was more than an hour. At least in the office, a nurse or someone will keep you apprised of how long the wait will be and when you can expect to see your doctor. Otherwise, I have confidence in my PCP and the specialists I've seen. In particular, the techs who work in Kaiser Radiology and nurses in the lab have all been terrific--very friendly and efficient! read more

Kaiser Permanente, GA won't let you get the new Covid-19 shot at your local pharmacy as before. And vaccines are not given on Saturdays when its most convenient for many families. So what are we to do Kaiser P? I guess many won't be vaccinated this cycle. read more

This company is incompetant. DO NOT USE THEM FOR YOUR HEALTHCARE. They are terrible. Especially for what they charge for healthcare. You can forget being taken care of. I have been with them for 15 years and in the last 5 years they have gone steadily downhill where its about the money, not the patient. Everything has become video visits and nurse practitioners. They keep losing good help and you end up with the people that barely passed their medical exams. If you are lucky enough to find a good doctor with them, rest assured they will not be there long. Oh if you are looking for weightloss help they will not approve anything with semiglutide just an FYI. I had my last covid vaccine and they didnt put it in my records causing me to get emails saying Im due for my covid vaccination that I already had!!! If they cant even manage basic care what do you think they will do with your long term healthcare?? read more

Kaiser Permanente is horrible. Avoid them if you can! They are so inefficient and they do not care about patients at all. You will spend a lot of time in the waiting room, you will have to be referred for every little thing, and it is highly likely that you will be misdiagnosed. We only trust them for the most basic services, like physical exams and vaccinations. If you have something more complicated, spend the money and go to a specialist. They were unable to diagnose cancer in my family for months, the various referral doctors didn't know which meds my mother was on during treatments so she ended up being hospitalized one night from a reaction to mixed meds, and they were rude throughout the entire heartbreaking process. I realize cancer is a special case, but they were not even able to figure out my sister's strep throat problem. Seriously, the most pathetic healthcare facility I have ever dealt with. read more

I'm not sure why this is categorized as community service/non-profit, but I went here for a health check-up with Dr. Patrice Gaspard. This clinic is also new and deceivingly small, but it's quite spacious on the inside. I was struck by the ease by which Dr. Gaspard performed my check-up and how helpful she was in informing me about my weight, dietary options, and overall health. Dr. Gaspard did not pry (or rather, accuse) me of certain behaviors exhibited by young adults my age, unlike my other doctor. I really appreciated it that she trusted me, and went through great lengths to explain that whatever choices I make in terms of health that she will always be there for guidance; with a phone number in hand and feeling better about this check-up than any I've ever had, I vowed to come back to this clinic, despite being slightly farther away than my original Kaiser location. Unfortunately, Dr. Gaspard is a pediatrician, so it makes me sad that I will have to leave in a couple of months. :( read more
