Vomit sitting for the past hour.

This place has just gotten worse and worse over the years. I used to prefer Kaiser ER over any other but f*ck that at this point. Currently at the Kaiser emergency room for my toddler and there has been a puddle of vomit sitting next to me for the past hour. The "janitors are all occupied" according to the security guard. Also there is plenty of garbage all over the waiting room that has not been picked up for god knows how long. Have been waiting for 3 hours and have witnessed MANY people that came in AFTER my child treated way before my child. The care quality is also terrible. An older woman was sitting next to me and I overheard her say she had been here since 4pm (currently 3:32am) and she is just now being discharged. Her diagnosis was "dehydration".

Having people stand outside in the rain and cold to get your covid booster is BS! Do better Kaiser! It's 48 degrees outside and windy on top of rain! You are ridiculous. If I would have known I would have gone to Costco, Walgreens cvs etc... complete crap!

Ouch! Foot Dr. visit at the Deer Valley facility. This hospital is always clean and actually refreshing to walk into. The ladies immediately direct you to the correct floor and give you step by step instructions on how to find your Doctor. Let's get back to the OUCH! I've had a neuroma on the bottom of my right foot for a couple years now. The pain is excruciating and it hurts to even walk barefooted. I was at the point where I would do anything to relieve the pain! Dr. Coggie referred me to Dr Razzante. He's a very nice Dr. and cute (I had to throw that in there)! He decided to give me a Cortizone shot in my foot. OUCH! The man (the shot) brought tears to my eyes! Good God! That sucker hurt but I do feel better. My foot feels weird but I'm not hurting anymore! If you have foot problems request him. He only works one day a week so get on his schedule early! I'm pretty much a Kaiser junky and wouldn't go anywhere else! Don't get me wrong I've had a bad Dr. once but only once!

Best Kaiser in East Bay. Been a member Since 2007. Kaiser is the only way. Phone appointment or in clinic.

In & out in 2.5 hours. That's amazing!!! And that included CT scan, bloodwork, etc. Nurses are super efficient and professional.

To sum up my experiences with Dr. Youn:…read more 1) Unprofessional and incompetent office staff: Appointment was canceled and they didn't notify me. I went to check in and that's when I was told that they had canceled and I would need to reschedule. 2) Doctor is not thorough: When he finally did see me, he recommended some inserts and sloughed off my calluses. That's a good start, but in comparison, the new podiatrist that I now see ordered X-rays for me, examined my bunions, and answered questions about foot care as I age and with my underlying conditions. 3) Condescending, arrogant bedside manner: He made no secret of his disdain for me as a girl mom, not once but twice. "You're having another girl? Are you OK with that? Did you want to have girls? Does your husband want girls?"

My patient directed me to ask Dr. Youn about possibly giving him some prescribed pain medication. I take the same medication for pain and when my patient asked me if he could ask Dr. Youn for the same medication I thought it would be okay to ask. So when I mentioned it to Dr. Youn, he proceeded to accuse me of asking for the medication for my patient so I could have it for myself. Then he started to lecture us about how he has to MAKE SURE that my patient isn't asking for the medication to give to me. Dr. Youn kept on in an accusatory manner and at one point told us that he has access to the DEA website to research whether or not we are having several doctors prescribe the same medication for us. Basically accusing myself and my patient of being lying criminals. I understand that medical professionals have to be cautious when prescribing medications but accusations of lying is not something that should be said to a patient. My patient is a man in his 90's. He has a lot of pain when he walks even with a cane. I have worked in the medical field for many years and have been trained in proper bedside manner. Dr. Youn needs to learn that the number one rule to proper bedside manner is to NOT make the patient or their caregiver feel accused of criminalistic behavior involving asking about medication.

When I was finally seen, the visit lasted only about five minutes. I was never disrespectful to him. I simply asked a question about my son's treatment because I wanted to understand the plan of care. Instead of answering my question, he acted as though I was questioning his expertise, mentioned that he had 35 years of experience, and immediately told me to seek a second opinion. As a parent, I was simply trying to make informed decisions about my son's care. I expected a respectful conversation, but instead I felt dismissed and disrespected. He may have 35 years of experience, but in my opinion, he could use 35 years of training in customer service and kindness. Experience alone doesn't make a great doctor. Listening to patients, showing empathy, and treating families with respect are just as important as clinical expertise. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this podiatrist. I do want to say that the office staff was kind and courteous. They treated me with respect throughout my visit. Unfortunately, I did not receive that same level of respect from the doctor.
