We drank some great basque white wine. Its a casual place with a bar side and a sit down dinner side, with outside seating as well. Our waiter was a nice and friendly guy. The second night we ordered a fish...possibly monk fish, served with mussels and clams in an espelette chirozo cream sauce...WOW, what a meal. It was a shame to have to leave the cream sauce on the shells of the mussels and clams, but it was so good.

At first I thought we would have a long wait to be seated but we were pleasantly surprised when the waiters broke a table off of a larger group of tables and set it up for us. My French is horrible and the waiter's English was as good as my French, but we got through the ordering process okay. If you order a bottle of wine you'll receive a side of ham with espelette peppers. We also ordered cod fritters, fried camembert with salad and ham, patatas bravas, and beef with peppers. Everything was good with the cod fritters being the best of the group. The only thing we did not like was the patatas bravas which were a little oily and I did not like the sauce it was served with.

Mediocre creperie…read more Have eaten in many better French creperies myself - and was travelling with a former resident of France. She picked at hers and decided to skip the dessert crepe. I had the plat du jour which was a pork loin instead. The mashed potatoes were good. The main dish mediocre. The dessert crepes are heavy on ice cream bombs with six zillion kinds of ice cream and sauce on your crepe. This is typical of a so-so place where the cook can't think of what else to put on crepes besides ice cream out of the box.

No English-speaking waiters the night we were there - just use Google translate. No problem! Try the molten chocolate dessert that has a star beside it for dessert. More of a dark chocolate but with the strawberries and gelato/ice cream it was perfect.
