I can't even explain what was going on with it, but there was some faint smokiness or something that caught me off guard and spoke to me. Without exaggeration, the best I've ever had. Robert the pitmaster is lovely gentleman with a great heart and passion for his food. If I lived here, I would eat here every week. You can taste when you eat something that has been made with love. All of the frozen items were in chest freezers, which made it difficult to dig through compared to standing freezers, and nothing was labeled with a weight or price, so it's a blind guess as to how much you're spending. The owner was pleasant, but the lady working behind the counter was flustered and rude. I asked to have one of the packages of brats weighed so I could try to figure out what things cost. She rolled her eyes, heavily sighed, and slightly ripped the brats out of my hand to weigh them. She had calmed down by the time I eventually checked out, but I didn't appreciate the reaction to a reasonable question earlier. I wouldn't go back. There are so many other meat markets north of Milwaukee that look better, have a better selection, and I've not experienced poor customer service at.
