I walked in rather late at around 10pm, no seats available and plenty of standing room. No one stopped me for a cover charge, yay! I think the cheapest beer was less than 50SEK. The bartender was friendly enough and spoke perfect English. Not sure who the band was, but they sounded American, talked like they were American, and they sounded good! Definitely worth a visit if you like jazz, but don't want the seriousness of Glenn Miller Cafe or Stampen.

Found this pub in Old Town Stockholm when we went to watch some weekend football matches (European…read morenot American). The pub itself had a good vibe where everyone was friendly and genuinely enjoying themselves. The decor of the pub was a lot of a lot of pub signs and usual things that you would find in a pub. It has a small but pretty cool layout when you could go down some winding stairs and find yourself in another seating area. Because of the pubs popularity and game time it was very packed in the bar area but the bar tender did a good job of attending to everyone. As for the food I enjoyed the fries we had and the vegan burger was alright. As you know my ratings go off of the expectations of how the place rates against similar places so as old school pubs go this was good, but do understand that typical old school pubs aren't well lit, don't have all balanced tables, and great seating in the entire place to enjoy the game. So if you're looking for those things you might want to check out some other places.

It was quite difficult to get service if you weren't standing right at the bar. I noticed that even a PBR was 900 sec. Most of the beers were quite expensive. I'm from America and PBR is the cheapest lowest quality beer. You could possibly buy. A 16 ounce tall boy is about three dollars in most clubs and five at a high-end club. Other than that a good time was had by all. I can always count on some interesting music when I go t Stampen. I was pleasantly surprised to see traditional country music . It's nice to see that they don't have any of that modern country bullshit and they stick to traditional country music bands that play music with substance . I've seen a lot of great blues and jazz in this venue and it's nice that there's a good variety .

We came on a Friday late afternoon around 5pm and most tables were taken but there was plenty of space to stand. The jazz band was already playing and the vibes were chill and festive. We ordered a couple drinks at the bar, I loved the revolver, my partner got the "something" collins drink and it was fantastic, really smooth and easy to drink. The bartenders were great, really quick to take our order and make the drinks. All in all a great little spot to hangout! But, if they decided to give it a good dusting I wouldn't stop them, hah!

Amazingly, this place is still legally open. When the concert ended, literally no one could leave for 10-15 minutes because they couldn't figure out how to route the traffic between the coat check and the exit doors. They had to get a guy on a megaphone and then let people leave the building in waves. There's also the coat check which I waited in for 15 minutes and I would say it was probably a 60 minute line. I can't imagine how long it took those people to pick up their coats at the end of the show when EVERYONE was leaving. Seriously a disaster. Same issue with the bathroom line and the bar line. Whoever designed this building is on my blacklist. I would seriously consider how much I wanted to see a band playing here. And wear nothing but a t-shirt in any season. And drink NOTHING 4 hours in advance. And study the emergency exit plan. Heeeeyyyyyyy Annexet...you suck!

A Dive Bar with rock'n'roll music, sounds awesome to me…read more When you walk in you see a bar, a couple of tables and bars and a nice crowd of people enjoying their drinks. The place is not too big, so you may need to give enough space so people can move, which can be a little annoying if you are having a conversation, but that's the vibe of the bar so embrace it. Want me to tell you a secret? Can you see that little set of stairs going down? You should adventure yourself and find out. I came here with a friend and we got to listen to a very cool band. Downstairs you will find a little concert venue, and another bar. The only thing missing were people dancing, the song was too good to be standing there, but I understand that Swedes need a couple of drinks before they can hit the dance floor. The place reminded me of a venue I used to go in my early 20's, and I had lots of fun. Beers are affordable, music is good and you are in for a fun night.

Pet Sounds bar is the sister of Pet Sounds, the music shop. The older, prettier and much more…read moresociable sister. Decked out in black tiles and a slick, glossy, and exceedingly beautiful veneer. With a suitably titled range of drinks, cocktails and more to match, Pet Sounds bar is one of my favourite places to be at night in the Swedish capital. Half bar, half restaurant, I am as yet to try out the latter half of this cool night spot, but if the drinks are anything to go by there is no doubting that it will be fine and delicious. There isn't masses of space to sit, between bar stools, window seats and a few tables, without moving into the restaurant portion of the venue. Anyhow, if you need a place to drink with great cocktails and a super atmosphere, then look no further, and if you require a fat slab of vinyl at the same time then, drop by early enough and you can hit up the music shop too. By way of recommendation, try the New York New York. So what are you waiting for?

Every time I have gone here I have walked right by the place without even noticing it existed, even know where it was the second time. Supposedly it gets really packed for salsa night on Fridays and they have a dance night most nights of the week (see pictures for an idea of their schedule). I also heard the restaurant is packed on Saturday nights -- so how is it so dead Friday? Stange. The owners are really into dance and music and dance themselves during the nights so that's really fun, but, well I haven't seen the execution yet here. It's hard for me to recommend this place because I would NEVER bring anyone here on a Friday when it's almost totally abandoned but at the same time the food is amazing and I would like to (5 stars on the food for me when you consider price/quality and try the lamb). I will probably try this place one more time on a Saturday for dinner at some point, but the whole aura is just super confusing for me.

Granted, I'm a dancer, so I LOVE the fact that they have music and dancing basically every single night. Different styles, too! Bachata, tango, Greek music, oriental sometimes, salsa, kizola...If dancing isn't your thing you can always watch and enjoy the atmosphere. I love that it's a full-fledged restaurant where you also can dance - why choose just a dance studio or just a restaurant? You can have both! Plus, I can sincerely say that the staff are some of the friendliest I have experienced in all of Stockholm. The waiters - and the owner - quickly make you feel like you're best friends and that you have a bunch of inside jokes. I always feel welcomed. They're very accommodating too - last night my friend asked if she could get a to-go box for her salad, and the waiter asked what time she was leaving (she planned on dancing) so he could put it in the fridge for her until then. Considering it's not even 'normal' in Sweden to ask for a to-go box, that was super sweet and great service in my opinion! The restaurant itself is pretty small but very nicely decorated and it feels classy. The food isn't oh-my-god-amazing, but it is tasty and not outrageously expensive (normal prices for a downtown Stockholm restaurant), so what's not to love? Maybe Grammofon shouldn't be at the very top of your restaurant bucket list if you don't care about dancing. There are better places. But for what it offers - which is quite niche - I think it's the best!
