Her gorgeous photos and dreamy editing truly speak for themselves, but what really sets Makaila apart is her remarkable eye for capturing the raw emotions and authentic moments of a wedding day - the little moments between us when we weren't posing, candid shots during our ceremony, our family and friends' reactions, creative shots capturing the decor and venue. She did such an amazing job capturing not only the look, but the feel of the gorgeous natural setting (from the jagged backlit mountain peaks down to us hiking in the dirt with our fancy shoes). She really has an eye for creative compositions and shots that feel genuine, fresh, and full of life. She was great at giving us natural and romantic posing directions and yet also had an uncanny ability to catch the best candids of us, family, and friends. She was such a pleasure to work with and has a friendly, composed, and upbeat vibe! We're so grateful we get to relive our wedding day through Makaila's photography. Thank you again so much again for capturing our day so perfectly!

We were so nervous, but after meeting Makaila for the first time it felt like we had found the perfect photographer. She asked all the rig questions to help us understand how everything would go and really had a sincere connection. Her work is unparalleled and we are so lucky to have worked with her. Her photos were exactly as we had pictured - the use of detail, action shots, sensual shots, thoughtful shots, and editing were very much on point. I can't say enough how awesome she is as a human and her work will leave you breathless.

Stepping out of My Comfort Zone This year I took a big step…read moreoutside of my comfort zone and signed up to do boudoir pictures. I've thought about it for years but never really had the opportunity. Last year, a friend of mine did it with Darci Admundson Photography and she recommended me to do it this year. So I went ahead and signed up to be one of her Boudoir Beauties. I was nervous about it, but with an open mind and a sick sense of humor, I managed to get through the photo shoot. I walked in to Darci's studio not sure what to expect. I sat down for makeup and hair, had a glass of wine, took a few deep breaths and relaxed. Darci was always professional, very open and really helped calm my nerves about the whole thing. I'm not much of a self conscious person, especially when it comes to people seeing me mostly naked (having kids will do that to you), but for some reason this one had my nerves rattled. Once we had the outfits picked out and got started, my nerves were gone. It was actually a lot of fun and I kept Darci on her toes with my random comments about underwear going up by butt. That had to be the most uncomfortable thing for me. But, it was temporary and the pictures were worth it. The next big step was actually seeing the pictures. I don't like pictures of myself (who does) but as I sat and watched these photos scroll across the big screen TV in her studio I was shocked at how beautiful they were. I couldn't believe that was ME in those pictures. It made me feel great to see how Darci captured a side of myself I thought I didn't have any more. I was sexy, I was sultry, I was even pretty darn gorgeous. The one thing I love about these pictures is they are so unlike many of the boudoir pictures you see from other photographers. Most of which are just glamour shots in lingerie. Darci is so talented in this art form. She is dedicated to helping women feel great about themselves, their sensuality, and empowering individuals through a wonderful experience. So when you're ready for a great experience, contact Darci for a Boudoir Session. Trust me, it's worth it.

Your photographer is there to fully capture your special day so you can treasure it forever. Daylene delivered above and beyond what we could have hoped for in a photographer - she has immortalized our wedding day. It was such a pleasure having Daylene photograph our wedding. Not only is she an immense talent, but a wonderful, fun person to be around. My husband and I are not the most natural of photographic subjects, but Daylene managed to relax us enough to take the beautiful, natural photos we had hoped for. Her expertise is key - she knew which poses and set ups would work and photographed to let our personalities shine through. Daylene's work itself is stunning. She has one of the most artistic eyes for photography. Primarily, I am awestruck by the way she plays with light. She can turn it from an aspect of the scenery to a character in your photographs. She captured not only the look of the wedding, but the feeling and spirit; the images perfectly tell our story. I am able to look back at the photos and am instantly transported back to that day, reliving every wonderful emotion. I would highly recommend Daylene to photograph all of your special moments!
