This is my all time favorite place to get sushi...always delicious. I love their happy hour prices, and the food is always on point.

We were in the Wellington area and we both had a craving for sushi. I wrote on my phone, sushi near me and Kabuki appeared first on the list. We ordered a miso soup and a wonton soup and three rolls, seared ahi tuna roll, the dragon dynasty roll and the mango tango roll. All three were excellent, but the dragon dynasty roll was in a league by itself, incredibly tasty! The rolls were ten pieces each! For dessert we shared the tempura cheesecake, it was to die for! The service was excellent and our server Netty was efficient and professional! For sure, we'll go back there again! I recommend this gem to everyone! Well done, Kabuki!!! read more

Happy hour at Kabuki. It was pretty busy on a weekday. We got there right before the rush. Great service. Food was ok. Not the best sushi I ever had. But if you are nearby and hungry, it's worth a try. Everything on the happy hour menu is half off. Still comes out pretty expensive if you're really hungry since portions aren't that big. I wasn't stuffed when I left and bill was close to 35 with no tip. Restaurant was more modern but very family oriented. Many families with kids dining there. Less lounge-y. read more

We live nearby & This has been our favorite sushi restaurant. We have recommended it to many for years. However, lately the service and food has gone downhill. The last time we ordered for delivery our food was an hour late. Then we ordered again this evening. Our food was 30 minutes late and missing ingredients. We ordered the chicken Katsu which states that it is fried chicken, steamed broccoli and carrots and choice of rice. This dish is $16. We received only rice and chicken. For $16. Called the restaurant & reported issue. The staff rudely argued with me stating "this never has vegetables". I read the listing of the dish from the menu online and was again told despite their description on website "no, this never has vegetables, broccoli or carrots". I had to call back and ask to speak to a manager who again argued with me. I asked for refund of the dish in question due to the error/incorrect listing. She again argued with me & stated that that's not possible, the dish does not come with broccoli or carrots. Until she then looked at their own menu online. She then stated that she could not refund the order. I informed her that I am not requesting that the whole order be refunded, just the incorrect dish. She then stated that she is not sure that that's possible, she would have to ask the manager (which earlier she had claimed that she was the manager). She did end up offering a $10 discount, which accepted. I will be looking for this to be posted on my account. Overall while their food & happy hour have been good in the past, this incorrect menu listing and horrible customer service have really caused us to unfortunately no longer be able to recommend this restaurant. Unfortunately they have now lost our business & we will be looking for a new sushi restaurant to frequent. read more

(Date of Visit: Friday, 4/5/2024, at approx 6:45pm EST) I received terrible treatment the moment I walked into this establishment. First, I nearly got knocked down to the ground by the wicked one in the red shirt at the door. She walked past me very aggressively, luckily I moved quickly enough not to get hit. Terrible treatment by these two evil people. I was picking up an order and was met with the most wicked treated by this demon wearing the red shirt. The other demon was the one I asked if the one wearing the red was the owner or manager and she pretended as if she didn't understand what I was saying. She then told the evil one in the red I was asking if she was a manager. The demon in the red approached me so abrasively with anger, answered angrily while standing close to my face, rolled her neck and walked back to the register. They both are terrible human beings and should not be working on service. I will be spreading this bad review to everyone I know since I have a large following. This treatment left me upset and offended. The actual owner of this establishment should be ashamed. read more

After doing a little research we decided to give this place a try and I'm glad we did. This is my new go to spot for sushi. In my opinion it's the best spot for sushi out in the western communities from Boynton to Royal Palm. I had a Tom-Kha soup as an appetizer and it's authentic as can be, the coconut milk base was delicious. As for the sushi, we tried the PB&J roll, Japanese Bagel roll & Black Dragon roll. The rolls were fresh, larger than most places, and very reasonably priced. Can't wait to go back and try some curry. read more

Great happy hour from 3:00-6:30pm with a variety of rolls and apps. I don't usually expect much from a spicy tuna/salmon or JB roll, but I was pleasantly surprised by how good my spicy salmon roll turned out. The fish isn't all mashed up into a pulp like I've experienced before at other restaurants. All our rolls were $6 which is a steal! Even the rolls with yellow tail and avocado were the same price. Staff was polite and prompt with their service. Located within walking distance to Wellington Mall it is a great choice if you don't feel like eating food court options. safe to say I will be adding this restaurant into my sushi rotation. read more

We had a blast at Kabuki.My family decided to do a happy hour the other night.My daughter had her reservations ,because she had not had a great experience at Kabuki in West Palm.We started out with Sake bombs.I then had a couple of Singha beers,at $2.50 each.My son ordered the chicken garlic stir fried,very good.Everybody else ordered appetizers.and sushi rolls.I prefer my fish cooked,so I can not comment on the rolls,but my wife said one of hers was a little too seaweedy,but the others were good.The pork goyzas,lava drops,Krab rangoon,shrimp shumai,and empanadas ,were delicious.Our server Lilly,was great,very engaging,and helpful.Would like to go back again and order entrees. read more

Lunch menu prices are pretty good, their food is as standard as it gets. The service was fine, but the portions are a bit small.

We've been here before and enjoyed basic sushi and sashimi dishes. Tonight we deviated from that and we're disappointed. Tom Yum soup awful. Unagi don, cold eel and tepid rice. Pad Thai needs a new name, maybe non descript noodles. A hamachi hand roll was actually very good but they charged a dollar to substitute cucumber for scallions. I love Kabuki's Happy Hour menu! I was in the Wellington area visiting friends and they introduced me to Kabuki. The most delicious inexpensive options are found on their HH menu for only $5-$6. I fell in love with the Lava Drop sushi roll (highly recommend), the crab rangoons (highly recommend) are delicious with its dipping sauce, and the dumplings are tasty as well. read more

Recently ate lunch here and shortly after I started experiencing Scombroid Fish Poisoning symptoms. I called the restaurant with the intention of just letting them know to keep other guests safe. After speaking with the manager I decided I was going to have to write this. I spoke with the manager and asked her if she was familiar with Scombroid poisoning. She admitted she was not but proceeded to tell me that they are required to freeze the fish for 7 days before serving to kill parasites. I explained to her that it is not a parasite from raw fish it is from improper handling and may have even occurred before they received the fish. I let her know that per the CDC freezing does not prevent scombroid poisoning. She argued with me and told me the health dept tells them to freeze it so it does. After that she proceeded to gaslight me and tell me I may have a cold...... My symptoms are rash, diarrhea, reddening and flushing of my face, neck, arms, and upper part of the body and legs, headache, difficulty swallowing, and heart palpitations... 40 mins after eating Raw Tuna... but sure maybe its a cold. I asked if I could have refund for the meal since the entire pill was $75. She told me no I have no proof besides you saying it. Go to the Dr. and then call me. Here is some information from the CDPH to help. How is scombroid fish poisoning diagnosed? There are no specific diagnostic tests for scombroid fish poisoning. Diagnosis is generally made based on symptoms and a recent history of eating fish a short time before symptoms appeared. If scombroid fish poisoning is suspected, laboratory testing may be done on any uneaten fish. What is scombroid fish poisoning? Scombroid fish poisoning, also known as histamine fish poisoning, is an allergic-type reaction that occurs within a few hours of eating fish contaminated with high levels of histamine. When certain types of fish are not properly refrigerated, bacteria in the fish can multiply, break down the flesh of the fish, and produce high amounts of histamine. Kabuki does not attempt anything grander than being a local asian option. It is conveniently located in an outparcel plaza of the Wellington Green Mall. With a full bar and a blend of asian cuisine, its "differentiator" over the five nearby sushi/asian restaurants may be variety and liquor. Kabuki has a modern, clean decor with bar and sushi bar seating, and table and bench seating. When I opened the door, I was met by a smileless greeter who showed me to my seat. My server was quick, attentive and efficient. I had a salmon/avocado roll and Pad See Ew with beef. The menu and food was average. Nothing discernably different. The sushi roll had generous cuts of fresh salmon. The Pad See Ew sauce, broccoli and noodles were good. The beef was tough. Had the beef been more tender, this would have been a nice dish. Kabuki offers a "happy hour" menu from 3:00 through 6:30. I found it to be lackluster, providing me with no real motivation to come. Prices are a little lower (by about a dollar) for sushi rolls. Some are the same price. For example, shumai is served five for five dollars whereas on the regular menu it is six for six dollars. I include a photo of the happy hour menu. Don't get excited by the term "tapas" in Kabuki's branding. It means ordinary appetizers here. No interesting small plates; just some typical edamame, gyoza, hamachi kama and the like. In sum, I can see Kabuki surviving on convenience diners while facing stiff competition to have a more creative and inspiring dining experience. read more

I will preface this with that we absolutely love the location downtown WPB and will never visit the Wellington location again. Customer service was a complete joke at this spot, took the server 15 minutes to take our order for drinks, but we didn't think much of this as our appetizers came out fast. We had to flag down our server to put our dinner order in and this is where the issues began, I kid you not, we waited an ENTIRE hour for our food with not a single regard from the server, my tea was empty as well for the whole time. Never once did anyone come to apologize or explain to us why we waited so long for our food, it was extremely unpleasant. They need to reevaluate their employees because the place was pretty busy, and all the staff were goofing off, talking, and just being slow in general not prioritizing their customers. What was supposed to be a nice evening for my boyfriend and I turned into stress and anxiety for what it felt like forever to get our food. Once we got our food, it was the same quality we were used to from the Clematis location, where they care for their customers. You can tell the chefs rushed the sushi rolls and just didn't put that love into it. We will never be back here, the whole place was a sh*t show although they had plenty of employees.
