I was excited when I first learned that Great Falls was getting an escape room but, to be real, was reluctant to spend my time and money at Escape the Falls once I saw their branding and photos of the experience in social media. A growing desire for a unique date night is what finally convinced us to take the chance. I'm really glad we did! THE DOWNSIDE: The "packaging" has room for improvement, for sure. Let's just get it out there - their signage isn't awesome. The facility itself is a bit rundown and needing creative attention. There are elements, especially in the staging area, that seem a little too "home-made" for the cost of admission. I'm excited to see this business develop further (and gain that 5th star!) and I'm hoping they gain enough clientele in Great Falls to support that effort. THE UPSIDE: The teen girl on shift (Hannah? Hailey?) was, although young, quite friendly and informative. She was patient in answering questions and putting up with our lame jokes. The room itself (we chose the "Cooper Cabin" experience) was impressive. With the exception of some Christmas lights that seemed definitively off-theme, it was aesthetically a huge improvement from the rest of the facility. The technology was on-point. The orientation video, the countdown clock, the ability to communicate with Hannah via cameras & text - all worked smoothly and looked pro. The overall escape puzzle was fantastic! This was the first escape room experience for everyone in our party (although we had some serious strategy game players involved) so veterans may feel otherwise - but our entire group was engaged and intrigued the entire time. We ended up finishing with about 10 mins to spare and were quite proud of having beaten the room, considering the fact that several of the puzzles within the puzzle had kept us stumped for quite awhile. CONCLUSION: The $20/person price tag was initially a little off-putting but now, having Escaped the Falls, I would gladly pay it again. Everyone in our group is excited to return in the near future to try the 3 other rooms offered. Thanks for bringing this experience to Great Falls!

It's slow going because of the great interpretive signage that you will want to read. Do watch the introductory movie before you start with the exhibits, it'll give you a lot of context. Don't rush through the exhibits, and do as many of the hands-on activities you have time for. The centerpiece is the life-sized model of the crew hauling a dugout up a hill that stretches over several floors. The detail is incredible. When you are done take the short river walk over to Giant Springs - they are very close together and the walk is really pleasant.

Giant Springs State Park is one of my favorite places in Great Falls. It's the perfect place to get outside, enjoy nature, and clear your mind without having to leave town. One of my favorite memories was walking the trails with my husband and our neighbors when we watched a deer cross the river. It climbed up the hillside and disappeared into the bushes, only to pop out right in front of us a few moments later! It was such an incredible Montana moment that none of us will forget. If you have friends or family visiting and want to show them a little taste of what Montana has to offer without driving far from Great Falls, this is the place. It's also perfect if you just need to get away for an hour, breathe some fresh air, and enjoy the beauty that's right in our backyard. I highly recommend it!

The mini golf, which is outside, was closed due to the snow. So I couldn't take pictures of that for you to decide how good it is. The inside is full of entertainment options and food. The music played throughout the facility. There are even picnic tables outside that can be used during warmer times. The staff walked around to check and ensure everything was going well for everyone. This is a good place to go to wear out your kids so you can get rest at night.
