The first thing we noticed, which was a bit unexpected, was the decor. The ambiance was really nice and inviting. This is the type of restaurant where someone could host a party. The service was really good too. We received water almost immediately after being seated, and our server came by shortly after. The manager stopped by throughout our visit to provide recommendations, and he was really nice. It made the experience feel more personal. For our appetizer, we ordered the Baba Ghannouj, which complemented the pita bread really well. It was our first time having it, and we did not know what to expect, but it was great. It was really flavorful, and we finished it wanting more. For our entrees, we had the Lamb Chops and the Seafood Tagine. The lamb chops were great. It was not a huge portion, but the meat was flavorful and cooked well. The presentation was also really nice. The Seafood Tagine looked great, and the sauce was incredibly flavorful. Everything about the dish worked well together, and we felt that all the flavors complemented one another. There was a good harmony between the ingredients. For dessert, we ordered the Kunafa, which was another first for us. We had never had it before, but the description really sold us on it. It was really good. This is the kind of dessert that is best shared since it is a little heavy. Toward the end of our visit, a belly dancer came out to perform, and it was really exciting. La Vie is a great restaurant, and we will definitely return. We felt as though we got a true Mediterranean experience during our visit.

We started with batata harra and cheese bulak. Both were great! The potatoes in the batata harra were very well seasoned and flavorful. The cheese bulak was good but might be a little off putting if your not use to mintiness in your cheese. A belly dancer came out and went around to all the tables and really engaged with everyone. For our entrees we got chicken tagine and lamb chops. I must say the lamb chops were phenomenal. Perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection. I definitely recommend getting them medium. All in all if you're looking for something different definitely go check it out!

Everyone was exceptionally friendly and welcoming, and Giovanni did an amazing job recommending some great entrée options. I ordered the lamb chops with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Everything was cooked well, and I really enjoyed the unique Mediterranean flavors it was a nice change from what I'm used to. For dessert, I tried the baklava ice cream. It was definitely different and worth trying, but it wasn't my personal favorite.

There is a "balcony" area upstairs with beautiful chairs which gives an impression of people drinking their coffee outside after a long day. The brick oven they use to bake the pitas is out for all to see how they are freshly baked. The food was fresh and seasoned well. We thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered- and we had a good selection. We ordered the hummus, Branzino, tabouleh, fattoush, cheese rolls, baba ganouj, labneh, makanek, kibbeh, zesty cauliflower, Sirocco salad, and the Sirocco grill. Giovanni was an awesome server - very patient, professional, and attentive. He cleared our table and brought us fresh cutlery and plates after our appetizers without us having to request it. Both my kids and my father (who is very particular when eating out) had a great experience.

Nice Mediterranean restaurant in Pembroke Pines. Stumbled upon this little gem…read more The atmosphere is inviting, and the service is friendly and attentive. It's locally owned and operated and I believe the owner was in the kitchen cooking the night I was there. Complimentary house-made garlicky hummus and warm pita bread was brought to the table when we sat down. Obviously, this is a family recipe and it was so good, we couldn't wait for the food. Shrimp Santorini - Shrimp in a Mediterranean sauce and served with sautéed spinach and Rice - Combo Shawarma Platter - Chicken and Gyro served with tomatoes, cucumber, rice and Hummus. Lets start with the Hummus - fabulous! Fresh and a nice add-on with the meat. The Gyro was excellent. It was a nice slow roasted blend of lamb and beef. There was more than enough food and we even got to take some of the Shawarma home for lunch the next day. This was a nice find, I wish it was closer to home.

I placed the order online which was quick, easy and convenient and it only needed to be booked about 2 hours before my scheduled pickup time but I booked more than 24 hours in advance. My pickup time was 630 and I got there around 645 and was greeted promptly by the friendly staff. They started bringing my things towards the front but another couple came in to be seated and my stuff was just left on the table, not really handed to me like most places. I ordered chicken kebab, a Greek salad and a large hummus, and had called to ensure that pita bread was included. It was , but they literally have me the bag of pita. It was not cut or toasted, just in the bag as if I got it from the grocery store. I also requested cutlery which was not included. A lady walked up to me and said "it's ready!" And walked away. I guess I was expecting better service or even some help taking it to my car if possible. The taste of the food was what I remembered but the chicken was cold and I had to find a way to cut the pita and warm it up for my guests prior to the event starting. For $200 I would've expected a little better service than that. Maybe because it was a slow rainy Thursday, the service was not that great, but it also doesn't make me want to go back. We just set up and ate so I didn't get any pics of the food, but my guests were happy with the taste of the food after I was able to warm it up.
