A true holistic health food store with some very interesting foods and other locally sourced edible gems. Great selection and friendly, helpful store clerks. the store is in a great location, slightly outside of downtown Hudson but close enough to very easily grocery shop here with a bicycle or ebike with panniers. Excellent loose leaf tea, spices and herbs, and a good coffee selection. There are also some really interesting incense varieties, sage bundles, and candles if you like your home or apartment to smell nice. The kaaterskill market has two locations, one in Hudson and one in catskill. I recommend this healthy grocery store over the other grocer in Hudson. EBT is accepted here for those who use it as a supplement. read more

The selection here is amazing and huge. So many items that I had never seen elsewhere and really wanted to try! My favorite find was a brand of sprouted pretzels. If you're looking for healthy munchies, this is the place for you. We also picked up some chick pea snacks in a variety of flavors. I even found quinoa flour which I'd been looking for in several stores for weeks with no luck. Fresh foods, good grains, snacks, beauty items and even alternative ice creams - they have it all. Not going to lie, it's not as cheap as buying a normal bag of chips but you're paying for the better, healthier ingredients. I wish I lived closer to this place as I'd be there weekly. UPDATE-- Need to take away some stars. Kaaterskill Farm Store has a decent selection of natural/organic goods. They carry some, but not a very wide variety of fresh veggies, etc.-- but I don't think this is their focus (besides, pick any farmers' market for your veggies). The prices are pretty high, especially given the quality of what they sell. I'm not sure I will be coming back. Bought a few items recently, some of which were confirmed to be old and expired. As part of this purchase I bought some Seventh Generation fabric softener -- a brand I have been using for years now. For some reason, it had separated into a mix of water and creamy gunk. I called the company-- thinking it was their product-- but after providing the code on the bottle, it turns out that the bottle I was using was produced in 2013 and has a shelf life of only 2 years. How long was it sitting on the store's shelf??? What else has been sitting on the store's shelf for so long? I'm not sure I want to know. This is really disappointing. read more

A "natural" store anywhere in Catskill was a pretty big find, but just a hop from the NEW GIANT MEGA WALMARTs was just perfect. Anyway... It has another location in Hudson NY which, to my understanding, is bigger. BUUUUUT this one does quite a good job of holding it's own in C-kill. It has a small selection of locally grown produce, some "organic/natural/healthy" food "mixes," and a good sized collection of body care and home products, as well as a pretty extensive collection of herbs/tinctures/potions. It has a mini sort of "guide" to help you figure out which herb/tincture/potion could suit you, and the staff is super helpful, friendly, and knowledgable. Was able to find my favorite all natural toothpaste that comes in several flavors. Most health food stores don't carry it, but this nice clean store had all three flavors, peanut brittle, avocado, and lemon-lime. Excellent brewed coffee too. read more

This store does not take covid health and safety seriously. I was shopping and saw a man at the register talking to the cashier. I did not see his face but noticed he was there at least a half hour chatting. When I finally got in line he turned around and was not wearing a mask properly, it was around his neck. I was horrified. The young cashier had been standing there talking to him and never said anything. I asked the man to put his mask on properly (this is February, 11 months into Covid here!!!) He put it over his mouth but not his nose and then it just fell down around his neck again. I could not believe as a customer I had been put in the position of insisting he wear his mask properly or leave. He finally left and the cashier seemed confused why I was upset. Another cashier joined her making up excuses for their complete inaction. They also claimed there was no manager to speak to. I live with someone with cancer so i have to be very careful but I know perfectly healthy people whose lives have been destroyed by Covid. To have health food store employees act so blase is infuriating. If a store is not training employees on basic safety they should not be supported. read more

To have a healthfood store in Catskill and then create such a quaint and special place after many years deserves 5 stars. In particular the dairy section is tops for us. Beginning to carry local raw milk cheese. You can taste the grass! No, it is not big but their store in Hudson supplements and when the Farmer's Market opens both in Hudson and Catskill what more would we want? Thank you all read more

I was very pleased to find a health food store in Catskill! This store is adorable with a lovely staff and a nice variety of food. It has a small produce section, but good size frozen and nonperishable sections. Also, tons of TEA!!!! And, some great sales. A nice alternative to shopping at the large chain stores just down the road. read more

I have found the staff to be very helpful and friendly and the shelves mostly well-stocked. The prices are often much lower than the stores that carry similar products in the area and so quite reasonable. They have a very large vitamin & supplement section and knowledgeable staff to help with finding what you are looking for, even if you're not quite sure what it is! read more

This store is far better than you might think -- yes, it looks odd and it often runs out of items and it's strangely organized, but it's an oasis of good, healthy food selections in an area that really isn't known for such things. A very friendly staff will help you out and possibly order foods you'd like to see stocked. Give the store a chance. You'll grow to like it. read more

The Store has many nice people serving, just a warning....Do not drop in for just one cup of tea or coffee on the run...You need to spend 10 dollars. I went there instead of Dunkin Donuts, because I think their coffee is good, but ends up costs more. I used to go in with my mom to get two cups of coffee, and do not remember having to spend 10? The sign was not on door, where it should be, I'm sure not to ward off customers. But, the sign was on a 4X4 index card under lotions, where I could not see it. #1, Sign should be by coffee as well, because if you run in for a cup, by the time they ring it up, your stuck...not fair. So, I had no other source of payment on me? It's coffee! They had to let me take it, I offered to give it back, that's all I could say. I should not have to come back and pay, because STORE POLICIES should be POSTED where customers can SEE them. Not wait until they are rung up to tell them. Poor Practice...for Credit cards.. read more
