Stopped by on my lunch break the other day for a quick car wash. When you arrive, you have the option between two lines, cash/card and card only. The line with cash/card takes you to a window where your transaction is completed by an employee and the card only line is a self service kiosk. Both lines move very quick! You have two options: $10 standard wash or $15 premium wash. I went for the standard wash since I didn't need anything fancy! Just need to get some dead bugs and bird poop off my car. The whole experience from check-in to check-out was less than 8 minutes! I felt that the dryers at the end of the car wash are exceptional. No streaks left behind and my car was basically fully dry. I was even able to roll my windows down within 5 minutes of leaving with no water streaks! It was a little tough exiting the car wash since the tunnel releases you right onto the Main Street (San Pablo Ave). A bit bummed that they don't offer vacuums to use or a vacuuming service but it's okay! If you're looking for just a quick wash, this is the place to go! read more

I personally adore this spot because it's super close to home and conveniently located if you go at just the right times (mornings before work for me, they're open 8a-8p). They essentially have two services: the advanced clean ($10) or the ultimate ($15) . You can check their website ahead of time for what each service entails but to be honest, I love that there are only two choices ~ in our world today we have so many things on our mind that taking endless options off our list is what I want and need. Love a good $10 deal at 8am! When you arrive you're placed in one payment lane or the other if busy, but truly all you need is to know which service you're doing, pay, and you're on your way. With solid service, a solid clean, and hours that accommodate most, this is my local spot. We always turn on fun music during the wash itself. It appears there are also vacuums you can park pre/post wash to utilize on your own. Also on the website it looks like you can get the app and purchase 'unlimited advanced' or 'unlimited ultimate' washes for a monthly set price. That's cool and convenient! When I worked in the area, this was where I got my car washed most frequently. The convenience of. It having to get out of the car made it super easy peasy. They still have the two pay lanes. The left is for cash and credit cards. The right is for credit card only. I would imagine it also takes debit cards but I don't know that for sure. The two choices are Premium for $10 and Ultimate for $15. If your paying by credit card, the cashier reaches out with a stick with a tap receiver on it. Once payment is made, the gate goes up and you drive into the queue. Try to line you left wheel with the wheel guides. An attendant will tell you which way to move your steering wheel and when to put the vehicle in neutral. The machinery will pull your vehicle through the various stations until you get through the tunnel. Another attendant will let you know when you can put your car into drive and leave. Be careful when you pull out. The crown of San Pablo Avenue is high and the driveway is pitched low. Some vehicles will scrape bottom as they leave. My van came out looking good. All of the attendants were friendly and efficient. Still my place to go! read more

Reliable and friendly staff. I have been driving an extra 10 minutes to come to this car wash instead of other ones in Berkeley. It was busy, but a quick moving line for a Sunday morning. There are two lines: cash and credit or credit only. Options are a $10 wash or $15 more premium wash. Once you pay and approach the automated wash, there is a staff member who will direct you onto the tracks and let you know when to put the car in neutral. Then you just enjoy the ride which ends with a strong air blower and dries the car about 80-90%. I've only had to wipe off very residual drops of water. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. Apparently this place does not want to be responsible for ANYTHING that happens to your car. I've gone here for years and have several cars. This past weekend something fell from their equipment onto the front/top of my car and cracked my windshield. Not a chip- a complete long crack across my windshield, suddenly!!! They claim it was the heat and I must have had existing damage. It's El Cerrito- it was in the high 70's that day, not 100 degrees! They have cameras everywhere but refuse to review them. Instead of offering to assist me in any way, they quickly denied all responsibility and offered me some free car washes to which I quickly denied as I will not be back! CAR OWNERS BEWARE, they sent me this sign that I've never seen there but clearly they have it hidden somewhere on their premises to ensure their release of all claims. The car wash was good. I want to highlight the service and man power they put for each section. One person patrol the cashier line and have another person for cashier. As you drove down the path I saw 2 ppl at the wash line. One person direct the driver and another (I guess) is the maintenance. I like a good system and it worked. It did a great job on my car! It's relatively inexpensive (they have 2 tiers of wash though the difference between them is just buzzword gibberish). The line was fairly long on a Sunday afternoon but it moved quickly. You pick your wash at a drive up kiosk and pay via cash or credit, then it's a short drive into the car wash itself. It's 2-3 times longer than the standard drive though ones at gas stations and does a waaaaaay better job for about the same price. It got a bunch of dust and dirt and poop off my car with barely any spots left. It did a solid drying at the end and my rims were super clean. Overall I was incredibly impressed with the wash I got for the price and the time spent waiting. Yes, there are still no vacuums to clean the inside of your car, but the outside gets super clean! read more

I typically take my car to those drive-through gas station car washes because they're so quick and easy...and they do a decent job. But they don't actually do that great of a job - particularly compared to the drive-through car wash at Kaady. I'd heard from neighbors that the Kaady car wash was pretty good so I checked it out last week. I arrived around 4 pm on a Wednesday afternoon, and it was totally empty....so a great time to get your car washed! They are super efficient in getting payment (Square card reader on an extended arm that gets right to your car window) and getting you in and out of the car wash. I was impressed with the quality of the car wash which removed nearly all of the tree sap that gets on my car (while other drive-through car washes do a much more mediocre job). I went to Kaady Car Wash on the recommendation of a good friend. He was very please with the quickness and cleaning of his cars. So I figured what the hell, let's try it. I drove up to the one of two lanes. One is for cash or credit, and the other, the one I was in, was for credit only. As I approached, there was a nice man that walked towards my Black, 21 Toyota Highlander. He asked if I was paying by credit card? I told him this was my first visit here and I was paying by card. He then directed me to the machine where you select the wash you want, $10 for the Advanced or $15 for the Ultimate. I opted for the $15 Ultimate wash. The man showed me step by step how to work the machine to get your car wash, which was nice and actually easy to use. But never being there before was very nice of him. He then directed me to drive around to the back and get in line behind the other vehicles waiting. I did and the line was going very quickly actually. I was impressed. The truck went through the car was and was cleaner than it was when it went in, so a good start. I had an appointment I had to get to so didn't really look at the vehicle. I got to my appointment, finish my business there, and walked back to my truck. When I actually looked at the truck I could see there was still LOTS of dirt on the hood. I looked at the sides, and back and roof, and saw even more dirt left behind. I was not as impressed as I was before. I returned to Kaady Car Wash, and saw the same nice guy in the credit drive up lane. I told him I was just here and had my truck washed but was not very pleased with it. He looked at my hood and said, "That doesn't look very clean". Couldn't argue with his assessment. I then asked if I could get a rewash of my truck. He told me I would have to talk to the person in the cash/credit window. He walked over to the guy in the cash/credit window and presumably told him of my concern. I got to the window where I told the man that I was just here and was not satisfied with the wash I had gotten. He looked at the hood where I had pointed out. The guy at the window said, "I will rewash it one time only. After that you will have to take it somewhere else or get a hand wash". Really? That is how you treat new potential customers? Telling them to take their vehicle somewhere else if it doesn't get clean on the 'rewash'? Wow, just wow. Well, I went through the 2nd time, and I have no way of knowing if I got another Ultimate or Advanced wash, but was more concerned about the dirt coming off the truck. I went through and after exiting the car wash, pulled out onto the street, went across the street to inspect my 'clean' truck. What a major disappointment it was. So I will take the guy in the window's advice and go somewhere else as he suggested. The guy at the window was not very customer friendly. The rest of the staff I interacted with was nice and professional. The others that were doing their job, appeared to be professional and conscientious of their duties. The window guy could take some lessons from them. So again, since the window guy didn't seem to care about if my truck got clean at his facility or not, I am taking his advice and definitely going somewhere else. I do love this car wash and I am saddened to see that they have increased the prices so often and decreasing the quality of the wash. It used to take 1.5 minutes in the car wash now they have you in ans out within 30 seconds and not sure if that means they're more efficient or cutting corners but my car is leas clean than it used to be. Two issues that are reasons for the low review. 1. Using an automated system 2. A vacuum to clean the inside of my car New system for payment is a reason to stop coming after 20 years. Adding a self pay system has made it less efficient and very upsetting when the line system lets people in front of you. This is insulting for the staff and leaves them to deal with upset customers. I have seen many verbal alterations because of this system. Today, I was the only person in line. Because the gate was delayed in my line, a person that came after me in the auto line was let in line before me. I have seen it work the other way as well. The system is frustrating and I hope they remove it. It was better when you could also clean the inside of you car. For a car wash, it's only half done when I drove away. I should have left a 5 star review years ago for the hundreds of good car washes on more than 5 cars. The staff is overworked and totally good to everyone. They are friendly and helpful. The changes over the last couple of years have made it a pain to go. I would give 3 stars back to go to a human purchase system and remove the auto lane. This is the nicest, fifteen dollarest car wash in the East Bay. My review needs at least 85 characters.

I have been there numerous times on my way home ( Concord) from work ( Berkeley) and it's the first time I was dissatisfied with the PREMIER wash. I did not notice until I got home in commute traffic. I went back the following day and told the cashier, whose response was "IT HAS TO BE THE SAME DAY."
