I've got a subscription with another car wash place but I never seem to get home in time to use it and after spilling a drink on my car I found bubbles car wash to be the perfect option. Great service great car wash and great people. read more

They missed big spots, but would not let me grab a towel to fix it for them. And would not wipe it themselves. My only solution was to go through again, for another wash, to dry my car. vary bad customer attitude. read more

Found this car wash when I was taking my adopted pitbull to the Richmond Vet Hospital next door and decided to try this station out since my car really needed cleaning anyways. This place seems to be a no frills place that gets the job done which is good enough for me for the price. There's no "Basic" wash service anymore which was $8 so the cheapest wash you can get is the $12 Clean service which I got plus free vacuuming is provided. After going through the car wash, 2 employees hand dried my car followed by me pulling up to the next available vacuum to clean the inside of my car. They ask that you limit your vacuuming to 5 minutes max if folks are waiting so please be mindful of that. read more

I had a very uncomfortable and disappointing experience at Bubbles Car Wash on Macdonald Avenue in Richmond. I came there intending to get my car washed, but I decided to vacuum my car first. While I was vacuuming, an employee turned the vacuum off and just stood there staring at me. When I asked if there was a problem, she told me, "You need to get a car wash." The way I was approached made me feel like she had already assumed I was only there to use the vacuum and had no intention of paying for a wash. I felt singled out and discriminated against based on that assumption. I was actually planning to purchase a car wash, but after being treated that way, I felt so uncomfortable that I decided not to spend my money there at all. Customers should not be made to feel unwelcome or judged before anyone even knows their intentions. Based on my experience, I would not recommend doing business here. very, very bad customer service. read more

Car poorly cleaned, dirt still all over. Pink soap foam streaking down the sides, not rinsed. Top, hood, and the back not cleaned, dirt and road grime still there. Especially the back, didn't look like it was cleaned at all. No attendant around to talk to. Definitely won't be retuning to this place. read more

I paid 17 dollars for bird crap to still be on my car and for my brand new car to get scratched up??? Not pleased. I am not a complainer as a service worker myself but I felt the whole place had a lackadaisical vibe from all the employees. I will not return to this car wash. read more

First, the tenant that was there walked away when I pulled up to the register. Then, it took 10min for someone to attend the register. That was one their phone, laughing and talking, being slow and finally asked "can I help you?" After that, I took a look at place and it was FILTHY! don't ever go to this car wash. read more

I bought a Groupon for car wash. It was my 1st time there and to be honest it was a bit confusing as there wasn't good signage. I made it through anyway, and realized it was really just a regular drive thru car wash, followed by a super quick hand-drying session for the Butterfly side of the car that was not thorough (they missed quite a bit of spot, didn't evem clean my mirrors and missed on the side of the car). Even the actual car washing missed spots too, though my car was certainly cleaner overall. They had a self service vacuuming station with really long hoses, but depending on which vacuum you got, they might not have strong suctions. The spot I got, had a reasonable strong suction for the left side, but notnon the right so the left side of the carpet was cleaner than the right side lol. Overall, if you don't have a facility at your home to do the washing and you want a machine to just do it while.you sit inside the car. And if you're not fussy about the thoroughness, I think this place is alright. I would not pay full price though. read more

Too much dirt left behind at the rear, and cleaning foam streaking down the side. Once it's done with your car, there's no red/green light to let you know. Nor that slight finishing "push" from the conveyor machine. I had to double check to ensure the car isn't being moved anymore before I slowly pulled out, trying to get as much blow dry for the back of the vehicle. They have a couple of folks hand dry after you drive out of the automated wash which is nice. But I'm gonna stick with Kaady car wash even though it's farther away. read more

This place is great! Never a wait. Free vacuum! Free towel dry. So friendly. I recommend.

I just canceled my membership at Bubbles Car Wash because the staff is rude and racist. On one occasion, I arrive there at 5:48 and was told I could not vacuum my car because they turn off the vacuums are 5:45. But the two cars ahead of me was able to vacuum their car. Also, I noticed the staff park their cars and use the handicap space regularly. On Friday, I saw one of the employees vacuuming his car in the handicap space. I asked him if he could move because I had a disabled placard. He asked me why I couldn't use another stall because they are all the same. I reminded him, disable spaces are for people who have special needs and need to be close. I asked him if all the spaces are the same, why didn't he use the other spaces. I asked for his name. He refused to give his name and drove away. I asked the cashier ( she has red hair) for the manager or owner contact. She said, there was no manager over the business. Then she responded, are you canceling your membership ? Cancel your membership and don't come back. I would like to hear from the owner so he or she knows why people are leaving the membership. If there is away to hear from the owner, please send to antoinetteedwards233@gmail.com. read more

Showed up at 4:45 PM I'm next in line with my Apple Pay ready , a different associate comes from the back and says they do not take Apple Pay, even though I always pay with apple pay. He then proceeds to say that they are closing in 15 minutes and that the vacuums aren't going to be available yet their business hours are until 6 PM. I used to come here once a week and for this reason, I will not return they did not care about their valued customer. read more

Went to get car washed, but when it came out the tunnel car was still dirty. I would not recommend this place at all. $14 dollars for a 15 second wash, that didn't do the job plus scratched my car, i would not recommend it read more

Very nice and friendly people it fast and easy to get in and out the best part about is that you can vacuum your car for free.

Must recommend this car wash. Efficient and a good value. They wipe it down at the end. You have to vacuum, and the suction in the vacuum is excellent! My car was very dirty when I went in and was nicely clean when finished. Will return again. read more

Something about car washes soothe me, nd its cheaper than retail therapy. Anyway, I love the deal on Groupon. At the end of the wash, your car is hand dried for any remaining water. Vacuuming is free. Theres a five minute limit to be courteois to others if there is a long wait, but considering how this year has been I don't foresee there being too many people waiting for quite some timw. read more

I usually have my car washed here and I had no complaints, but the lady who took my payment today( I believe her name is Claudia), was very rude! I placed my car where indicated and the machine pulled the car through with out washing it. I went back and and tried to tell her, but she denied it and began to blame me. She raised her voice while speaking to me in a condescending tone. I told her I was a regular customer and I knew how the system worked, she replied by saying if I was a regular customer she would remember me(Seriously?!) she's not the only one working there. Clearly she doesn't not know what customer service is. Hopefully, management/owner does something about it. read more

I go to Bubbles Car Wash Express regularly. It's close to my house, quick and not expensive. I usually go for the deluxe package, since my little commuter car gets a lot of miles and deserves it. This place is a lot nicer and easier than the Kady carwash in Albany, yet similar set up. Drive through the carwash, blow dry and vaccum yourself. Except at Bubbles, they have employees that towel off your mirrors, car body and bumpers. That's the extra step that keeps me coming back. read more

I have been wanting to visit this car wash for a while now after hearing a friend of mine talk about it and I finally got the chance. It is always very busy on most evenings when I pass by, which is a good sign because you know the service will be good. Side note: this was my first time going to a drive thru car wash. I always use the other ones. Customer service/staff: 5/5 The guy was very nice when I told him this was my first time visiting a drive thru wash and he explained what I needed to do. Price: 5/5 Pretty reasonable packages for less than $20 Business location: 4\5 Overall quality: 4/5 I would recommend! read more

I've come here a few times (okay, let's be honest, I come here when Groupon allows me to purchase the deal again). It's always been a great value. Today, however, was different... Sometimes the person scanning my printed out voucher forgets to take the paper or I forget to throw it away. Today I presented a voucher and without ANY attitude, the guy, Luis, tells me that it's already been redeemed. I apologize and give him the other sheet I have. He scans that one and give me a thumbs up and tells me it's all good and it's for a platinum wash. When I go through and the drying process begins, Luis runs from the other side, taps my window, and just as I'm about to be told that the other voucher was also not valid, he tells me that the computer messed up and I went through the wash on a basic package, not the platinum package. He tells me to turn around and go through the wash again to make sure I get the platinum treatment. At the beginning of this review I said "let's be honest." So, let's be honest, I could've driven away without knowing I'd only received the basic and not the platinum. That Luis went out of his way to tell me the truth and immediately make it right is why I'll only take my car here, Groupon or not! Thank you! read more

i got the expensive 17$ wash when i pulled out the car was dripping soap. i spoke to the man i paid he tried to tell me it was water not soapy water dripping off. he got a wet rag and wiped it off, when i got home i discovered bird poo on the trunk lid read more

Reading Groupon reviews is also helpful (since many people buy their 3-pack that way). Believe the reviews about the rude woman at the front. She will bang on your window and get aggressive about the car being in neutral. When your car still doesn't move, and you honk, she will then pull her mask down to yell at you. Unfortunately, the car was in neutral and she had to reset the track. No need to behave this way. I'll also echo that the other reviews about some of the services not being performed is accurate. And when they do them, it's only on the drivers side. The car has NEVER come out completely clean, not once. And the lot where you vacuum is almost always grows and unkempt. read more

This is my go to car wash, due to Covid I was looking for the safest way to wash my car & this place was great. I saw it on Groupon & purchased it. They have 3 different washes to choose from. I usually get the shine. Also I do your own vacuuming, which was great. read more

Overall great service. I don't recommend taking your luxury car through but it does do a great job cleaning my beater car I take to SF and Oakland. Don't go on Sunday mornings since the lady doesn't move much and won't do a thorough job wiping down your car after. You will regret it. I gave her one of my lucky $2 bills so she can hopefully do a better job in the future. Overall the staff does an excellent job. read more

I have been to this car wash a handful of times, and it had always been an easy experience. However, when I came this past Saturday, there was a customer two cars ahead of me that held up the line going into the car wash and also on the way out. So much so that I was bumped by the car behind me, as I was unable to move forward and out of the way for other exiting vehicles.l. My car is super shiny, and also has some new scratches. Bubbles Car Wash Express - Scratches on rear bumper from car behind me forced forward at the end of the car wash. - Car Wash Near Me - Richmond, California

Bubbles Car Wash is great! I purchased a one-use voucher on Groupon for $7, and it seems they often offer discount promotions on there. This is by far the cheapest, fastest car wash I could find in the bay - in and out in five minutes!! Plus, there's free, self-serve vacuuming stations at the end of the wash. Pro tip: try to go during off times (a weekday afternoon was perfect for me) to avoid the wait for a vacuum. The outside of the establishment is not the cleanest and the wash may not get ~every~ nook and cranny, but for less than half the price of other car washing places in the bay? This place exceeds my expectations for its affordability, speed, and free vacuuming amenities. My car came in filthy (having driven through multiple bug swarms, bird poop, mud--you name it) but now it is sparkling clean. Thanks, Bubbles! read more

I don't understand how business that's supposed to be operating can just close whenever they feel like it. There has been many occasions that I have tried to patronize this car wash either in the morning when they're supposed to be open, or in the afternoon before they're supposed to be closed and either the workers are late, or they shut down. Today I'm currently posting at 4:43 the car wash which is supposed to be open until 5PM has been closed for the at least 30 minutes! BTW, the Power outage didn't effect them, I drove by at 11:30am they were in full motion and the lights around the building are currently on now! Get it together! read more

I wish I could give this place one star I don't know if there's even a corporate number to complain to, but this business is terrible. The ground is dirty. Next to a dirt field and a freeway where the dirt gets your car dirty right after a wash the wash is not that strong. Your car will still end up dirty and the lady who has the red hair is extremely rude do not recommend read more

Nice and professional people who let me come in to get my car washed a couple of minutes before they closed. That's why I gave it so many stars. However, my car wash left some streaks of dirt, in particular my rims were still grimy. At least they knocked the dust off. read more

First of all the wash was just ok. They left my back bumper filthy. But my complaint was that they busted off my antenna. Clear off. Had to shut down the system to find it. The employee came out with 5 of the same ones. Obviously an issue. First I was told they aren't responsible. Then after I pressed I was told the manager would call me Monday morning. I have called them several times only to get a recording. No customer service. I'm still without my antenna on my new truck!! And the Paint was all damaged where it got busted off. read more

I used to go to Kaady car wash in El Cerrito but after a groupon special, started coming here instead (plus it's closer to home and with way less traffic issues). Now this is my favored car wash to use. Their machines do a pretty good job of cleaning your car up. And it is nice to have the staff that hand dry the car afterward vs just the machine's forced air drying. And the free vacuum is good too. Well, maybe it isn't quite free. The high end wash here is notably more expensive then Kaady in El Cerrito, but Kaady doesn't give you free vacuum access or hand drying, so I guess it all washes out (ha ha, see what I did there?). Still, easy to get to and out of, good work cleaning the car, nice job Bubbles! 5th star if the prices (at least the higher optioned washes) were $2-$3 cheaper cause then it would be a great deal. read more

Bubbles is located on MacDonald just a short half block from San Pablo in Richmond. Nothing fancy or high tech but very well organized. There are many levels of cleaning from a basic car wash at $8 (only $6 with the Yelp check in----$2 off any level of washing.) You pay as you go in letting them know what level of wash you want. You remain in your car as the Bubbles does its work. When your car is done with the Bubbles tunnel there is a duo of people that hand dry your car. After you are done you can get FREE unlimited vacuuming with notice limit. Basic and affordable. From their website: "Also, our wastewater gets treated. 100% of the dirty water from the car wash goes to a wastewater treatment plant where pollutants are removed. If you wash your vehicle in the driveway, the dirty water and chemicals end up in our Bays via storm drains. That includes brake dust, road grime, and oil." Bubbles left our car sparkling clean. read more

This is a solid car wash for what it is. A regular car wash costs around $11, but you can check in on yelp to get two dollars off. It takes about 3 minutes to go all the way through and then when they wipe the car down at the end. There are also vacuums to clean the cars at the end as well by yourself. Gets the job done. Quick and easy. read more

This place really doesn't seem to care much about maintaining their equipment. On two separate visits, I noticed that both the right rotating brush arms don't even reach your car and the wheel spray does not work. It's annoying that management doesn't really care about shorting their customers, and the workers there don't really have any control over the mechanical issues. read more
