It was getting so out of hand that it was impacting our experience with him as our pet. We found Macayla at Unleash Fido in Jacksonville. We enrolled Taz in their 4/5 weeks obedience training and OMG we legit have a brand new dog!! He is more calm, settled, obedient and has really responded positively to this new training and rules. The entire team at Unleash Fido have been very helpful, professional and kind. Our trainer Macayla has checked in with us frequently to see how things are going, answering questions and has provided several post training sessions to ensure we are comfortable and continuing his training. I have had to reach out to her regarding some new undesirable behaviors and she made some suggestions that really worked and has been so incredibly helpful. Worth every penny. I would highly recommend them for any dog training needs!

She would greet everyone who came to my place with a lovely leap to their face while they were sitting on the couch. She would dig on my couch and did not listen well. Now she is a brand-new puppy. She does not go on my couch or jump on anyone. She seems more confident in herself and calm. Macayla did an amazing job with her, and I am beyond grateful! I enrolled Ellie in their 4/5 weeks training. I got a report card and pictures or videos every Wednesday. I always looked forward to Wednesdays! After Ellie completed her training, we had to go back for our follow up trainings with Macayla. Ellie was beyond excited every time we went back. I have already recommended Unleash Fido to multiple friends. Highly recommend Unleash Fido!

The convenient Wheaton location of the facility is great for daycare and they also allow for half-day daycare too. Very flexible scheduling. When I pick my dog up, I can tell that she's received personalized attention from the staff and that she has been well cared for. Often she's been able to work one-on-one with a staff member for nearly all of her half-day session. We also attend the group classes which are incredibly unique and let my dog build up practice interacting with other dogs in a way that reinforce new, good behaviors. My neighbors are thrilled with the progress almost as much as I am - my dog no longer automatically barks at everyone outside now and is able to make new friends. The in home training we did originally was incredibly valuable to get us started on the right foot. We need to do that again very soon! Is it the least expensive daycare and/or training in the area? No. But it is ABSOLUTELY worth it. When I leave my dog in the care of The Canine's Voice I know that she's going to be safe, loved, and will learn a few things while she's there. The classes are incredibly valuable too. The results speak for themselves.

I did the 6 week program with Melissa and it was an absolutely amazing experience!…read more I went in hoping for my dog to learn better manners, but instead I got a dog with perfect manners and who is able to be completely off leash when appropriate. Our last session was at a park where we got to practice our new skills in a safe situation with a professional so that I felt in control and at ease practicing them in the "real world." Melissa really listened to what I wanted, what my dog needed, and tailored every session to what would work best for US - not following the same script and steps that everyone gets. I went in hesitant about the training methods but am now more educated than I anticipated; I know more about training, I know more about my dog, and I even know more about myself. It was also a lot of fun!! My dog and I both looked forward to our sessions and it helped us bond a lot. There were quite a few scheduling issues, which was not a huge deal for me, but it was inconvenient at times since I have to drive a bit to get to the facility. Regardless, I will 100% be saving up for another 6 week program!

The training she received is second to none. She was a bit of a wild child. My initial and only experience there was not a positive one (in fact quite disappointing and…read moredisturbing) for the following reasons: The doctor's 'bedside manner' was not what I hoped for or expected. I didn't see or feel much if any warmth or compassion in the way she treated my cat, Casper, or responded to me (especially when delivering some very disturbing news about my cat's eyesight). I would describe it as a coldness/aloofness and lack of friendliness that made me (and I think Casper) very uncomfortable. (Yes. He was very stressed contrary to what the doc and team observed.) The doctor very quickly diagnosed Casper as being blind or nearly blind based on a simple blink response test without any further diagnostics and/or questions? (E.g. Checking his retina with an opthalmosope and/or asking me how he's been navigating around the house today, etc.). FYI....This turned out to be false as verified later that day while observing his almond-shaped pupils and his ability to easily track my fingers, a laser pointer, etc. In addition, the vet at the UF Small Animal Hospital checked his eyes with a scope and his retina were fine. I asked for the doctor's assistance by having a phone consult with the UF Small Animal Hospital vet to better align on the pre-evaluation and testing required for Casper's I-131 Radio Iodine Treatment, including passing along my concerns and helping me get my questions answered. She was apparently unable or unwilling to do this for me and deferred to Casper's previous vet's office. I'm very sorry it turned out this way as I had high hopes for a different outcome.

We adopted a rescue puppy 6 weeks ago and life has been a living nightmare since. This poor puppy was separated from the mother and litter mates at 4-5 weeks old. Way too young. The people who took him locked him in a crate 24 hours a day except to teach him to pee. They then decided he was too much trouble and my big hearted daughter brought him home for a "temporary visit". That was 6 weeks ago and the going has been rough. He has not been socialized, is a beagle-lab mix full of pent up energy, who bites and howls constantly. To make matters worse, he is a highly intelligent puppy who has been training us rather than vice versa. I actually called the local humane society to discuss surrendering him. They suggested that I speak with Debbie Birmingham of Paw Print before making the decision. She used to be the behavior specialist there. I did and the following day Debbie came for her first visit--which lasted for three hours!-to do a full assessment. She was amazing with the puppy and by the time she had finished, we all were exhausted, including the puppy, but not Debbie. She worked with him over and over and over. By the time she left, his behavior was so improved. He sat, laid down, stopped his biting, and followed her commands. She is returning next week for more training and will bring her Golden Retriever to help socialize our orphan puppy further. Obviously, is it us who need to be trained on how to handle this puppy. All thanks to Debbie. Her fees are soooooooo reasonable and happily makes house call. Best dog trainer ever.
