It appears my dog may have been left in an unsanitary condition for days without proper care. The staff showed little concern or accountability, and responses felt scripted and dismissive. Overall, this facility lacks proper communication, cleanliness, and care. I will not be returning and urge others to be cautious when trusting them with their pets. I have recorded calls and photos so i do not want to see this business coming back with some weak response. My mom used them years ago and the experience was top tier. She got photos sent to her everyday, a report card saying whether he ate or didn't and if he actually played with the other animals or not. We spend our hard earn money and trust that this place is going to take care of our fur babies. Communication is key especially when dealing with animals who can not tell us what is going on. Unfortunately, the visit quickly became one of the hardest we've experienced as Rescue pet parents. During the exam, we were given devastating news: our beloved rescuer pet (she rescued us) has a heart murmur. Hearing this was heartbreaking and overwhelming. We were then presented with estimates exceeding $3,000 for the recommended testing and follow-up care. While we understand the importance of proper diagnostics and treatment, the emotional weight of the news, combined with the financial reality, was incredibly difficult to process in that moment. Our pet has been part of our family for over six years. She is not "just a pet" to us--she is deeply loved, cherished, and woven into our daily lives. The thought of life without her is unimaginable, and we are committed to doing everything we can to keep her healthy and comfortable for as long as possible. Despite the emotional nature of the visit, the veterinary team Dr. Marissa Romagnuolo and Car the Vet tech were professional and thorough in explaining the findings and recommendations. This experience has been painful, but we appreciate the honesty and care shown during such a difficult moment. We are now navigating the next steps with heavy hearts but unwavering love for our girl. To make matters worse, because I had two dogs, I was required to pay for both office visits before I even walked through the door. By the time I realized how expensive everything was, I had already paid the exam fees and felt like I had no choice but to continue. After I got home, I compared prices with other local veterinary clinics and couldn't believe the difference. Another local vet charges around $90 for the same routine vaccines, and that price even includes a heartworm test. This office wanted more than $90 just to add the heartworm test to the bill. It doesn't stop there. My dogs have to go back in a few weeks for their required booster shots. This office charges $58 for that booster. Another local vet charges $25 for the same required booster. The pricing alone was enough for me to decide I won't be returning, but what really bothered me was the constant upselling. During our visit, every employee we spoke with recommended additional products or services. Some of those recommendations involved thousands of dollars in additional costs. While I understand that veterinarians should discuss available treatment options, I personally felt like many of the conversations relied more on fear and pressure than education. That was my experience, and it left me feeling like I was being sold to instead of simply receiving routine veterinary care. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this office to spend a few minutes comparing prices before making an appointment. I wish I had done that first because it would have saved me hundreds of dollars. Based on my experience, I won't be bringing my dogs back. I've included copies of my invoices, along with pricing from another local veterinary clinic for comparison. Everyone is free to make their own decision, but I think seeing the numbers speaks for itself.

When I asked about additional options like a medicated ear wash, I was told they would provide it at a two-week recheck -- meaning I would have to come back and pay another full exam fee just to receive it. Two weeks later, I went back again because his ear was still bothering him, and once again, I was charged a full visit fee. I was told to "keep doing what I'm doing," despite no improvement, and that if it continued they had a second, third, and fourth plan. While I understand wanting to take a less invasive approach, repeating the same treatment without results -- while continuing to charge full exam fees every visit and requiring additional paid visits just to access basic treatment -- is frustrating and expensive. Especially when each visit is already $100 just to be seen before any additional costs are added. I asked if they would consider waiving a recheck fee given the issue had not been resolved after multiple visits, but they declined. This is the first veterinary office I've experienced that charges full exam fees for every recheck on the same unresolved issue. It made me feel like the focus was more on billing than actually solving the problem. I truly wanted to trust them with my pet's care, but after months of the same issue and repeated charges without resolution, I've decided to seek care elsewhere.
