The team at Tailwaggers Country Inn went completely above and beyond to make sure he was happy and well cared for. It honestly felt like he had the most fun of his life while he was there. When my travel got delayed coming home, they were incredibly kind and even drove him back to my house and let him inside so he could be there waiting for me after my long trip. That meant so much to me. I 100% recommend Tailwaggers to anyone looking for a place that truly cares about your dog.

They are both caring and provide wonderful care and attention to your pet while you're away. The accommodations they provide are a bed area in an air conditioned building with a dog door that leads outside to an area where they can socialize with other dogs. They recognized that Mattie, even though a larger dog, was a little shier around larger breeds so they allowed her to play with the smaller breeds. I know whenever I need to be away my dog has a place where she'll be cared for like she was their own!

They screwed up the IV on day two and the fluids went sub q into his paw which swelled up huge because they didn't notice the IV catheter came loose while he was in their care. He left in worse shape than he arrived. Right after paying them the $1800 and being told he still isn't feeling good, they brought out the wrong cat to us. Also had to sit in the waiting room for an hour past our appointment time, TWICE. I booked an appointment with my former vet in Dallas immediately after leaving with my cat and they were shocked at what I was charged. They stopped the antibiotics which weren't needed based on the type of crystals, did the fluids correctly and got him on the correct meds with the prescription diet and he was back to his normal self. Total cost at my Dallas vet for the exact same fluid treatment with catheter with the prescription food was $500. I'm gutted I got so ripped off at this Denison vet.

Dr. Katie is a very…read morestraightforward person, but she is also insanely knowledgeable and has legitimately saved my horses life THREE TIMES! My mare just will not drink water when she's eating hay and just a few days ago she had a bout with very severe impaction colic. We had her transported to Hayes Equine (they have someone on call to assist with transport) and Dr. Katie kept her for two nights to make sure the impaction fully resolved. She also gave us some tips and tricks to get her to drink more during the winter. My husband usually helps Dr. Katie with whatever needs to be done to our mare, because she can be pretty bad with the vet, and he has never had any issues working with Dr. Katie. When our mare had colic the time before, Dr. Katie actually cancelled her other appointments to make a farm call at our home. If you're looking for someone to spend extra time with YOU, holding your hand and comforting you, Dr. Katie is busy! She is there to help your HORSE. Everyone in the area knows she's the best, so she has to be thorough but quick. The office staff here have always been friendly to us and I feel the prices are more than fair for the service provided. I'm honestly very grateful to Dr. Katie and her staff for saving my beloved senior mare and giving me extra time with her.

But I will speak for myself . PLEASE, for your sake but most of all your horses sake, take them anywhere else! I could tell you the night mares and money Katie Hayes has cost me and my horses and will one day if I have a couple of extra hours! This is not a fresh wound for me but felt compelled today to state my heart felt plea of warning for someone that might read yelps reviews about Katie Hayes. Don't prove me right! You will be kicking yourself because you have been forewarned. I wish she was even adequate enough since she is the closest equine vet around, but I will & do drive miles and miles to never use her again. NEVER! I will say that I did say that I would never use her once before several years ago and then used her for a simply procedure last year that one of my older horses needed on a holiday and guess what, my horse before getting him back in the trailer was at deaths door of what she did to him. She even said "you know, he propably won't make it through the night" She is COLD and only money driven. She charged me several++ hundreds of dollars because of all the meds he now needed because of what SHE DID to him. I can and will confidently say I WILL NEVER EVER have her touch a horse of mine again. Looking back my horses where NEVER EVER diagnosed correctly and what ever she did and or did not do cost my horses so much more pain and me more money. I believe with ALL MY HEART that is her plan.

That alone speaks volumes about Jodi and Kyle of Sunflower Stables. They are the picture of what you want your barn owners and managers to be like. My three horses have been here for a year and a half and have absolutely thrived. My mare, in particular, has shown a softer side and has really opened up to other horses. Their weight is perfect, the stalls are always immaculate, and we experience almost no flies, which is a testament to their diligent care. I receive updates many times a week, which gives me incredible peace of mind. Jodi and Kyle have truly made my visits about just being with my horses, rather than worrying about what needs to be done. I genuinely feel we are getting more than we pay for here, and having boarded all over the metroplex, I can confidently say this is rare. It's clear you're working with two people who genuinely love horses, and it truly shows in every aspect of their operation.
