We finally decided to reach out to the Dog Wizard and after just two weeks, it's like we have a different dog. She now listens, obeys, doesn't leave my side, and willingly goes into her crate. I cannot recommend this business more. These trainers truly care and put so much energy into making sure each dog gets exactly the kind of training they need. If you have a dog, TAKE THEM HERE! Levi absolutely loved this structured socializing hour and had a blast. On top of making a new doberman bestie, we also got a lot of training tips and advice from the trainer, Charisma. We even worked on a little loose leash training and a new trick called "place." I wasn't expecting so much for only $10! After our first social hour, Levi became the most loving puppy ever! What was once an energizer bunny is now a chill and cuddly K-9. I don't know what magic they did to my dog but I highly recommend bringing your puppy here!! I truly wish I didn't spend all my money on another training business because I would've loved for Levi to do their day training program. I really hope they have an adult dog social hour in the future. Levi is rapidly outgrowing the rest of these puppies and would love an adult doggy date.

After expressing very real concerns in a detailed email I received a call from Marjorie with no voicemail but rather an email saying "call me". The call started by criticizing my email. The call was quick to judge our previous training, quick to interrupt and interject opinions, quick to suggest that I had zero clue what I was talking about, dismissing my concerns with my animals behavior, and quick to mock my notion that what I had spent on trainers was a lot. If you want a trainer that is unprofessional and beyond rude than Marjorie is for you. After speaking to other trainers and comparing my experiences, there are far better options in Wilmington and seemingly much more competent.

As a result of this I didn't have high expectations when sending her for the 2 week obedience off leash training. We met Tara while she was training a five month old German Shepherd at Topsail Island and we're very impressed with how well the dog was trained. I thought if Harley could only be half that good it would be amazing. Terra took Harley for two weeks and I knew she'd have her work cut out for her. She was definitely up to the challenge. We picked up Harley after the 2-week training and were blown away with how well trained she was. Don't get me wrong she's still very stubborn and it's going to still require continued work for the training to become part of Harleys normal routine given that she still so stubborn. I mean let's be realistic nobody's going to take your dog for two weeks and give it back to you perfectly obedient pet. But what Tara was able to do with Harley is astounding. To watch our 10 year old son have control over a 80lb Rottweiler puppy that used to jump on him and knock him down was amazing. To see her sit, stay, heel, lay down on command is the Wow factor we were hoping for. Thanks Tara for an amazing job! We will keep building on the foundation you have laid with Harley! Thanks to you she is now a great pet!

Each hour together provided an opportunity to help us understand how to be good masters and to teach Ted some new behaviors (and tricks). Our main goal was to increase our confidence in control of Ted while off leash (hence the name of the company) and to eliminate nuisance barking when people walk by our home. Since our lessons concluded we are able to relax in peace when people walk by (no excessive barking and no worry Ted will approach people to say "hello" as they walk by). If you want a more positive experience in pet ownership, give Jan a call and look forward to your "new" dog!

Katy and MaKayla provided wonderful care for my two golden retrievers, keeping me consistently updated on their activities and playing/walking them more than they even get when I'm at home with them. I could tell by the updates that the girls genuinely loved my dogs and appreciated their unique personalities, which was such a comfort as I have a very difficult time leaving them! They even went "frog hunting" with the pups every night in the backyard. I came home after two weeks to a spotless house, and they even bathed the dogs while I was away. I also appreciated that with this service comes advance scheduling, coverage for cancellations, etc., all that you can't get with a Rover sitter and what I couldn't take a risk on with such a big trip. I can't recommend this service enough and will definitely be using them again!

I have a lot of medical conditions that I used to have to cancel appointments for if I my boyfriend was out of town for work.
