I received a brochure in the letterbox & kept it knowing that in several years Id be getting a new…read morekitchen. Seeing the brochures I new the kitchens were custom made & quality. When it came to time to get prices & go ahead with a new kitchen I got 4 different quotes. 3 custom & 1 more standard. I was very insisted on what I wanted. I had planned it for 2 years. First of all Davis & Park were the only ones to offer advice & suggestions when they saw flaws in my design. Others said, ok we can make it work but never stated the REALITY of the problems if we went ahead with our own design. Lloyd came & helped design what has been the most perfect kitchen for me. I have chronic back issues & rheumatoid so this was taken into consideration as I aged & issue would worsen. Then there was Rachel who helped with choosing profiles, drawers, cupboards & the extra information needed for the kitchen to look fantastic as well as function great. Now for the Installation!!! WOW.......... Starting from Tim who measured to perfection then Bill & team who actually installed the kitchen over several days, I have nothing but absolute High Praise for these guys. They really know what they are doing & just got on with it....nothing was too much trouble....I realised a few things that I'd chosen with height etc were wrong & they adjusted them with a smile & a no problem attitude!! They treated myself, husband & our home with such respect!! If only all tradesmen were like Bill & men! Thank you everyone involved, start to FABULOUS finish. We are so grateful for what is a dream kitchen. PS. We also got them to make & install a television unit which was to be built into a recessed fireplace. They made it again to perfection. Again thank you for a flawless renovation. A very old house comes with difficulties when you start a Reno but you guys work around each challenge. By the way. We got prices from some big well known companies. Australia wide with great reputations. This company was the most expensive but I knew from the first meeting that they were the company for me.

Gorgeously renovated old hotel in the city for their showroom got me interested in Alby Turner and…read moreSons in the first instance, but having been a shop fitter and interior designer in my younger days I was immediately taken by the showcases they have of the modern kitchen. No wonder they have won awards here and there for their work. They are (obviously) a family business, and they do have their showroom in the city along with one out at Holden Hill, there's a web site and a factory where they do the building of the various elements that then get expertly fitted into your renovated home, your new home or your facility. They are not the costless version of kitchen fitters, they're not the most expensive but they are in the high end range price wise; you only have to look at the style elements and materials they favour to get an idea of how beautiful their work is, and how superior it is to the more generic kitchens available at places like Bunnings. If you have to capital to create your own dream home I would suggest you visit their website for a browse, and then get an appointment to go into the gorgeous showroom in the city if you want a more hands on experience.

Climat Air Conditioning (Holden Hill, SA) told us that installing two Daikin reverse cycle wall…read moreunits will only take a day to install. But it took them a week. We also complained about the workmanship of their installers but it has fallen on deaf ears. Here is a link to the photos. https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B6BEO0Fjbx_uYlNkS0Y5T2dlYXM&usp=sharing One of them shows the front of the house. We spent thousands of dollars on a month-old cladding and the tradie did not think of putting the drain along the door frame. We tried painting on the white tubes but it is still unsightly in my opinion. The second photo shows the holes and one drill dent that cannot be hidden by the plastic capping. We were surprised that they tried drilling through the support beam of the door. I thought they would have the right tool to figure out if the surface they are drilling on is too thick. We are very unimpressed. ------------------------- Update: Someone from Climat Holden Hill contacted me and did his best to rectify the issue. It is comforting to know that they are very concerned with how their customers perceive their products and services.

Here is a review from a customer who did not get his chimney cleaned!…read more I am from Texas and am visiting my sweetie in the Adelaide Hills. We discovered that the wood stove vent pipe (flue) and the stove itself was spewing smoke and not drafting properly. We called Hills Clean Sweep and spoke with the owner, Jason Tait. He came out and looked at the situation and gave us his opinion ... I have been doing remodeling for around 30 years and I know an honest tradesman when I see one. Jason told us that the flue was installed improperly 19 years ago (I concur) and that he could clean it, but the results would be poor. We need to have the flue replaced. Jason actually declined a job that he could have performed and charged for, and he gave us honest and valuable information as well as some good referrals for sheet metal installers. Jason communicates well, gives a small window of arrival time for your appointment, and shows up on time. He is well-equipped, careful, courteous, and a genuinely nice guy. If I could give him more than 5 stars, I would. Highly recommended.

Knox Constructions........Seacombe Heights, South Australia…read more Appalling attitude and business practices......over time and over budget. Whether its Commercial or Residential you're dealing with the same 2 directors. We asked bamboo flooring SA who could install the bamboo flooring we bought from them, they had one of the directors of knox constructions ring us who then came to quote the installation of the bamboo floor. The 2 directors personally worked on the floor laying, kitchen installation, green house building, and wet area renovations. The results are very poor with MULTIPLE STRUCTURAL FAULTS. Work 'completed' is well below industry standard. One of the directors may hold a licence for residential building not exceeding two story and commercial building work not exceeding two story, though neither knew what they were doing on this build. We would not recommend this business to anyone. Beware of these people. MULTIPLE STRUCTURAL DEFECTS We regret hiring these incompetents and are pursuing them through the appropriate channels. Beware of this two-man band at all costs!!
