It's doubtful you'll want to make this your regular and old faithful laundrette. Yet, this place is good for dry cleaning any especially nice dresses that are for special occasions (you know the non-white kind of wedding dresses etc...) or a really nice interview suit. While, I know some individuals (eg. the mother) who like to put their 'good sheets' in for a wash and iron. I myself, don't really see the point in ironing your sheets or curtains. Surely, if you hang them up properly when they're wet, the heavy sorts out the creases?? Anyway, if you should require or desire their services for dresses, coats or sheets this is a really nice little shop. The staff are pleasant, the service turn around is pretty quick and the prices are reasonable. In addition, to all that they also offer free pick ups and deliveries for big loads. Good marks all round - though, I'm not sure how necessary the ironing element is, therefore the holding back of a star.

Opened the bag and they had given me someone else trousers and my other tops etc , how random!! Called them and they said sorry there been a mix up. I was thinking really ,dress to trousers!! Anyway sent my sister to collect my dress as I was working after the weekend and they said while cleaning the leather on dress was damaged and had left mark on the dress. And if I'd be kind enough just to take my dress. I said no like any normal person would. I'm constantly washing duvets roughly every two weeks and the machines here are perfect for washing larger items such as this. There is an 8kg or 18kg washing machine with a 18kg dryer that's perfect for what l need. Good value laundry and reliable.

I popped in and was shown to the large machine in the very back. No coins needed, he operated the machine for me and told me to come back in 50 minutes, since I was going to take it home to dry. I came back and he had popped my duvet in the dryer for a few minutes, so it wouldn't be so heavy for me to carry home! It was £7.00 for the wash, plus 50p for detergent and fabric softener. Next time I'll bring my own detergent, as theirs is heavily scented. I thought it was so nice to give it a head-start on drying in their machines. After I paid, he rolled the duvet up and put it in a plastic bag for me to carry home. I'm so pleased with this new place and the great service. There's no sign on the door, but I found the company name on some flyers inside. FYI: He quoted me £3 for the dryers.

It can easily absorb a full baths worth of water, and took 4 days to dry when I last attempted to wash it at home... Popped it in here a few months ago, and they returned a big bag of fluffy loveliness the next day. Their prices are very reasonable, so maybe this is why - nowhere else in the West End have I found a cheaper deal than their 4 items drycleaned for a tenner - which includes leather and suade items, and either one dress or jacket per batch. Silk is included too - which is great when you can pay huge amounts at other drycleaners to keep your delicate items in shape (oo-er). The staff were pretty intense- to the point that I wondered if the chap who spoke to me was high on more than just life, but he was friendly and accomodating none-the-less, and very forceful in sharing the box of sweets on the counter. I had my 8 items worth of clothes back in three days, and they were perfectly clean and unstained. Although do smell a liiiittle bit like a new car... hence the 4 stars rather than 5.

A quick shifty through the big ol windows opening out on to Argyle Street and you'll see an arrangement of old comfy looking furniture, wee oddities and enough general stuff to keep your brain occupied until your gear is clean. I'm pretty sure they also do coffee in this joint which is a fine idea. Established for over 50 years, they offer a wide range of services...ok its the usual type of thing offered by most laundrettes but hey it looks cool. they also do work for Hotels and such which lends credence to there claim to being the number one in the West End.
