The older women who helped us were very friendly and nice. They made our hot fudge sundae and medium orange vanilla twist cone perfect! My friend also got a slushie, it was also made great. This is a Lorain summer institution for sure. The line is typically 20-30 people deep. I know they are well known for their orange twist and krunch ice cream cones, but for someone who has a dairy allergy, those are not options for me. Great ice cream and even greater snack varieties. One downside though is that as of my July visit, they only accept cash for now so it wasn't pleasant to know that I won't be able to come when I only have credit as my sole payment option. Just a reminder for you! Other than that, I don't know what to think about the cashiers, and it serves its purpose of being an ice cream place fairly well to me. read more

I have been coming to this place since I was a kid and it brings back such good memories to come here. I feel like places like this are disappearing and its sad to see so I really appreciate that K Cream Korner is still around. My two favorite things to get here are the chocolate covered bananas and the orange and vanilla swirl cone. They have a huge menu of food and ice cream and has all the classics like a banana split, hot fudge sundae, and slushies. Its hard to find any places that have chocolate covered bananas anymore let alone good ones. I look forward to this place opening every spring and its a treat I always can't wait to have. I love this ice cream place. I have been going here since I was a little girl and my fav is the heath kwhip which is creamy vanilla ice cream with heath candy. They have a drive thru too just be sure to bring your dollar bills:) I get so excited when they open in spring and super sad when they close for fall, but I get it they need to do what they gotta do so they can make the goods for the new season. read more

Sigh...it's January and I need a K-Cream fix. K-Cream is a little ice cream stand in Lorain, Ohio right along Lake Road near Lakeview Park. It is a great location to stop while out on a drive along Lake Erie. Last year they remodeled their little crappy stand into a really nice place with more parking and a really nice building. Ice cream is eaten outside on picnic tables, there is no indoor seating. I am a HUGE fan of their orange chocolate swirl. Most places only have orange or orange/vanilla. They serve really good soft serve, sundaes, cones, and many other novelties. They also have limited ice cream stand-type food. K-Cream can get really busy in the evenings, but it's worth the 5-10 minute wait to get your hands on one of their tasty treats! If you are looking for a good place to get some relief from the heat of the summer then give them a try! read more

We owned an ice cream store for 5 years so I am in tune as to how ice cream should be served and quality. First, service was great. Yes, lines were long, but that's a good sign. Speaking of signs, I thinks they are awful. Signs everywhere and hard to read with no conformity. I had a small Whip, their version of a blizzard. It was loaded with candy and the ice cream was good. My husband had a chocolate peanut butter milkshake and really liked it. Having only a large and a jumbo size is very odd. Our friends had a twist and a sundae. The sundae is my biggest gripe. How is it a sundae if you charge extra for whipped cream and nuts? A sundae should include whipped cream, nuts and a cherry. Otherwise, you are just eating ice cream with a topping. All 4 items cost almost $14 so not an inexpensive stop. We showed up at 9:10 and they close at 9:30. As we were sitting outside eating our treats, they started turning off the lights and emptying trash. Seems too early on a Friday night to close down. read more

I have visited KCream several times and the service is always great, the milkshakes, malts, k cups and slushies are tasty and the prices are reasonable. On my last visit I had a hillbilly dog (hot dog w/ chili and coleslaw), onion rings, and a fresh banana milkshake... All good. read more

Great little place with a whole bunch of treats to choose from. I love the orange-vanilla twist. The only downside to this place is the owner woman who I've seen get rude with customers on a couple of visits. She's never been rude to me, but I've seen her near-berate customers who let her know she gave them the wrong thing. She goes on about "No, that's not what you ordered. I read it back to you!" She literally argues with them, telling them they didn't order what they say they ordered. I can understand her frustration I suppose, but it seems like a really bad business practice to berate customers in front of a whole long line of other customers. The fact is, both her and the customer are to blame for not making sure the other understood the order. Either way, there is no excuse for a business owner to make a customer look stupid in front of a good twenty to thirty people in line. Good ice cream, but with an owner who seems clueless on customer service. read more

There is no other soft serve like it. There is no other customer service like it either . You can go there and literally see a line around the block and still be served in 10-15 minutes top. The owners and workers are the nicest people ever. Orange vanilla swirl or strawberry and vanilla . The prices are about half of what the other local ice cream place and Dairy Queen are, only downside no credit cards, bring your cash. read more

Awful service and treated rudely by employees!!! Never thinking about returning. I received an incorrect order and when I mentioned this to the staff I was repeatedly told I had made a mistake and refused to do anything for me. I know what I ordered. Is this how you treat your customers and your community??? You can keep my dollar but you will never get my business again. Horrible. read more
