this is an ACTUAL CUSTOMER REVIEW OF THE SHED DOG GROOMING IN LAFAYETTE OREGON…read more I have 2 small dogs. dog one is a terrier and i requested just a plain hair cut for her...not any "style" , just cut it all a true inch long all over he4r body. Her coat wound up just chopped - done with scissors! they did not use a clipper - they may not have one or know how to use one. even her ears - one ear was trimmed pointing down at the front of the ear flap. the other ear was pointed the opposite way. dog 2 was only to get a shampoo, nails trimmed and a "sanitary swipe" up the rear end. she is part Pomeranian and had beautiful "feathers" on her tail and back legs especially - the length of all of her rear end feathers were cut about half way off. not all of her nails got cut - the more difficult nails were just left - you could feel the difference between the cut and uncut nails. they had no answer for any of it. i waited a few weeks before contacting them. i didn't want to be angry on the phone.( i did get a bit heated but no name calling. i told them i would contact the chamber of commerce and their small town business association) their response was very aloof and negative . i wanted some money back. nope and they charge top dollar. i took pics but its hard to see specific dings - dog 1 came out looking like she had been groomed months before. avoid, avoid, avoid, avoid - many better options than the Shed in Lafayette Oregon. After about 6 cries I said enough is enough and we left. She has NEVER cried like that during any nail service in the past. Perhaps too course of a tool I am not sure but her nails are not smooth like they normally are. We won't be coming back.

I'd like to add an update…read more Jillian the Groomer agreed to reimburse me for my puppy's medications. I tried to keep expenses as cheap as possible so I bought her cone at Petsmart for $20, I took my puppy to the vet and they prescribed antibiotics and an ointment. I am currently giving my puppy her meds twice a day. In all of this, my 4# puppy is the victim. I sent Jillian a copy of the bill and asked her to reimburse me as we agreed. Currently, she's telling me her credit card is stolen and they racked up her credit card and she doesn't know when she can get her credit card back. Hmmm. I'm not sure why her credit card issues are somehow my problems. FYI, I work with credit card companies. They are insured. You would not owe any credit card company a penny if someone stole your credit card. I also know that they always overnight your credit card to you. I am frustrated and disappointed. I cannot imagine any business treating a customer this way. It's just not smart business. I have screenshots of our full conversation that I'm keeping in case I need to escalate this matter to the State of Oregon and BBB. I will update with final resolution if/when it happens. UPDATE - - I only charged Jillian the Groomer for the cost of my puppy's medicine and cone. The total is $132.75. Instead of doing the honorable thing, she refunded me my $95. My math says she still owes me $37.76. I will escalate this matter. She had the option to do the right thing and she didn't.

We have had all 4 of our dogs there for boarding up to 10 days plus day care over the past 5 years. They come back happy and tuckered out. The staff is so caring and makes you feel your pup is special. They have lots of activities and do a good job getting to know your dog so they are put in with a group that fits their personality We feel blessed to have found them and able to leave and feel secure they are well taken care of !!!
