The wait time is a bit long but that's okay for the amazing flavors they deliever. Even inside the restaurant is kept clean. The cups they give are never dirty or stained, unlike some restaurants that has hard water residue. Rusty Pig pick--up window has wonderful servicing. The employees are always nice towards my family and I. The only downside I would say is that they grilled chicken could use a bit more seasoning. Yes, you get the wonderful grilled flavors on the skin and meat but there's almost little to no seasoning. But, if you're in Glennville it is definitely worth the stop.

The brisket was cooked well and had a nice fat cap and good bark. Fries were crispy and the beans (while simple) were also good. Stop what you're doing and order the chicken sandwich…read more I went back to Southern Roost and this time skipped the "small banquet" approach and zeroed in on the buffalo chicken sandwich with ranch. This is the move. Tender, juicy chicken cooked exactly right, tossed in buffalo that brings flavor without trying to prove a point, cooled off with just enough ranch to keep everything in balance. Every bite hits. And then I made the right decision. I benched the fries and brought in the mac and cheese. That's a veteran call. Creamy, rich, and sitting on top of macaroni that was actually cooked right. Not mushy, not stiff, just exactly where it needs to be. It's the kind of side that quietly steals the show. What stands out again is the consistency. The food shows up how it's supposed to. The place is spotless. The staff moves with purpose and takes pride in it. You feel it without anyone having to announce it. Some places are good once. Some places figure it out and stay there. This place has it figured out. Five stars.

Chicken dinner to go. They gave me 4 pieces of chicken instead of 3, I'll take that. The chicken was great. It was not heavy at all kind of like light to medium. Great balance. Not salty at all nor greasy. The meat nice and juicy, not dry at all. The dinner came with fries, a buscuit and a bit of cole slaw. The slaw needs improvement, it was too mayonnaisy. The buscuit was good and the fries, even though good as well only at half because I was full.

Yes...yes... the service is great and the atmosphere inviting, but the true star here is the food. The menu is diverse offering delicious appetizers and mouth watering entrees. We started with the homemade fried pork skins with spicy ranch dipping sauce...FANTASTIC! Then I ordered the combo 2 which included an 8oz. sirloin, ribs, and 2 sides. Others at the table enjoyed the mahi mahi, and shrimp and grits. Each entree was prepared perfectly. To take this experience to the next level, the owner himself visits each table and thanks his patrons for stopping in and spending a part of their night at his establishment. TRUE Southern hospitality! Overall, this place is by far the best I've experienced in South Georgia. Bravo!
