The company is also called Kodiak Fence. I've dealt with many contractors over the years. Cody has provided the worst experience that I have ever had. After 3 weeks we are still waiting on our fence to be completed. It is to the point that you can not believe anything that he says. Multiple promises that workers are on their way, guys are loading the supplies, I'm an hour out and will be there personally. The kicker is he charged my credit card last week for the final amount. When called out about it claimed he told Crystal not to, but the guys were on their way to wrap up (no one showed up). I did call my credit card company to dispute the charge because the work had not been completed and STILL is NOT. For those counting, it is 9 days after they fraudulently charged my card and work is not complete. Only communicate through text to have documentation of all of the false promises. read more

I would leave zero stars if possible. Kody is total garbage. "Kody" is total a crook. I paid him to place a fence and a "pony gate" (the segment to hide the trash cans). I was told my fence would be built using the standard dimensions of concrete to be poured and I was given a "warranty" on it ... After hurricane Sally, my fence is leaning 20 degrees on every portion he built, after I communicated with him he said his warranty does not include hurricane damage... WE LIVE IN FLORIDA. Had he built the fence to ACTUAL state standards, we would have not had an issue. After MONTHS of back and forth with Kody, he told me there was family issues, then weather issues and then every excuse in the book when he would actually speak with me. DO NOT HIRE THEM TO BUILD YOUR FENCE I hired Cody (850) 529-1777 on July 15th to tear down my old fence and build a new one. Several text messages and emails later I gave him a deposit over the phone. He assured me he would send me the estimate (we agreed to on the phone) to my email. They started on time and seems to be working quickly although I never saw Cody at the site and when I asked the workers just laughed and said "no he rarely shows up". They finished in 2 days with the final fence being hung as I was leaving. I did not have a chance to walk around and inspect everything before they left. Cody called said they were finished and he would be out in the morning to do a final walk thru. I paid him the Balance over the phone and again asked him to send me a contract with the estimate and warranty. He assured me again he would. 4 days go by- no Cody. I texted him to ask when he would be coming by to do the final walk around (my fence is really crooked and I had some other issues I wanted to show him) . He never responded. I too nice, I let it go. Sept 16th Hurricane Sally hit and blew down part of the new fence. I texted him that morning. He called that night said he would be by Saturday to look and let me know. 2 weeks later I texted him to see if he had been by and could he get me a written estimate for my ins adjuster. He did not even reply. 2 more weeks go by I text again asking for a written estimate he relies "Yes I can". Another 2 weeks go by no estimate I text again explaining I need the estimate for my insurance claim he replies " I'll do it this morning for you." 3 days later no estimate so I texted him explaining that his lack of communication from the beginning has been a oroblem and all I needed was the estimate to start the claim at this point I would be using another fence company. He immediately relied saying he had me on the list to come out that day. Of course he never showed but texted to say he would be there Monday. Again never showed or texted. I texted a final time 3 days later but nothing. DO NOT HIRE HIM! Aside from the lack of communication with his customers the fence had some issues. The reason my fence fell was that there was very little concrete around the post. And my gate is still crooked and several of the top cap rails are already popping up. Every post has been cut where they used a skill saw to cut the rail after they nailed it down. He wasn't the cheapest estimate either but their work certainly looks like it. read more

Cody Brown is rude and has no business dealing with the public. I hired him to replace my fence after Hurricane Sally. Took my deposit, came out the next day and removed my damaged fence. The crew told me their post hole digger had broke and I was told by Mr. Brown they would come back the next day. Never showed up..I was told there were no post hole diggers in the area and they were having some brought in from out of town. Several days later my posts were set, upon inspection several were leaning and wobbly. I text Mr. Brown and he told me in a very rude manner that I was not to touch them. I didn't touch them I could see them leaning. It took 2 weeks for my fence to be completed...didn't make me happy since I have a dog. I had filed a insurance claim and it took me almost a month to get my paid in full receipt. Always an excuse, now I need forms completed for my mortgage company so they can sign off on my insurance money. I have sent him the forms, said he would complete them...but he has not. Today I filed a complaint with the BBB maybe they can get him to do his job. BEWARE....this company does not deserve 1 star. read more

I used K&J to do my lawn irrigation system in 2018. That was a big mistake. Just from the beginning it was bad news. once they installed the sprinkle system they had it going off in repeat 4 with it heading my back windows at 1am, 2am, 3am, 4am, all night. They never checked to see where the system was spraying. After that was fixed I noticed 5 heads still needed adjusted for spry angles to hit the whole lawn and some of the sprinkler heads were to high. I ran over 2 of them with mower. As the yr went on everywhere they dug a trench for the water lines it all washed away because they chose not to use sod to cover up on the hill when I was told they would. I had 3 to 8inch deep trenches and one head even washed away. It took 3 different times for them come out over a span 6 months to fix. They always had a excuse not to show up when they said they would. They finally laid sod down but they never smooth out the sod area and just through it down with sod laying over sod and the trench in the middle. they never cut in the sod. So I complained and they brought a heavy roller to try and smash it in which did not work. So now I have rolling hills ever where they dug a trench in the back yard. They said they would come and fix it several times in the summer and never did. They always have excuses. Now I am spending extra money trying to fix there mistake. All my neighbors can't believe how bad my yard looks and they have a sprinkler system as well. Horrible company Highly don't recommend. read more
