Hands down 10/10 experience. Leah was very accommodating and professional in working with me on the stone I chose and the layout. Derek did an absolutely amazing job fabricating the quartzite stone and sealing it prior to install. Every step of the process went great, including removal of my old countertops, templating and installation. Went in to get a quote on granite countertops for our new home. From the start the women in the office were very rude. I was asking for prices on specific products. Instead of giving me any answers they just said "yeah, thats REALLLLLY expensive" Very condescending employees. So I took my business to Blue Rock Industries. They were kind helpful had a bigger selection and got my business. read more

I was almost ready to go forward with a big box store for my kitchen and bath counter tops and decided to check out K&D and very glad I did. Their selection in the price range I wanted was much greater and the granite I chose was almost $20 a sq ft less than HD. I was also able to score a remnant of marble for the smaller counter top at a great price. Everything was done in approximately 9 business days and everything looks excellent. The big box store had a 4-6 week time frame. I worked with Tyler and he was great. Friendly, knowledgeable and never made me feel rushed. I would recommend them and will use them again. read more

Very surprised to read some of the reviews here. I have used K and D for many remodel projects over the past 5 years and have always found that they are significantly less expensive than anyone in the area, they have typically been in and out from template to install in 2 weeks, and I have had no problems at all with customer service. They also seem to be the only countertop shop in the area where you can browse a large yard of full slabs which i find to be quite necessary. Just had to put in a good word for these guys - I am sure poor customer service and mistakes have happened - but they are the only company that I use. read more

Very frustrating dealing with them. They hire young girls to sell the granite (eye candy??) but they don't seem very knowledgeable about the product. Prices fluctuate and granite is not clearly identified. Go to blue Rock and talk to one of the knowledgeable people there. read more

To give this horrid company a single star is one star more than this hack-show deserves. We bought a quartz countertop in January 2017 that this company was supposed to come template. They quoted it being completed within a few weeks, but 3 MONTHS later, they still would not respond to any inquires. When we finally did get them to say what was going on, they said that they had "found" the countertop and that it had been done for "weeks." We immediately drove from Bangor to Windham to pick it up, with the box truck, but yet when we arrived, it actually had NOT been cut yet. We were told it would take an hour to cut so we waited. After two and a half hours, they said it would be another 3 hours so they offered to deliver it "for free." It took 3 weeks to finally get them to deliver it, and when they finally did, the countertop, that they templated and cut, did not fit. We have spoken to the owner (Dennis) no less than 8 times, but yet each time, he does not remember speaking to me the time before. All he wants to do is berate his employees, going so far as calling them "bitches" and "fucking whores" (true story!!). I cannot say enough awful things about this company. Stay away from them. They are crooks; unprofessional does not even begin to describe them. We STILL do not have our countertop, and we are out the money and six months of aggravation. Horrible, horrible place. read more

We had such high hopes...our kitchen was finally done. We had picked out our slabs while we were in the planning phase - we offered a deposit but were told no - that wouldn't be necessary. We watched the salesman put our name with masking tape on the slabs - but when it came time for the templating - we were email a bill that was WAY more than we expected. We were told the price had gone up almost 100% - as the stone sat in the yard!!! Just ridiculous. We went to Paul G White - they had what we wanted, were able to accommodate our schedule and their price was cheaper than our original quote from k&d. read more
