I've worked with Mohlman Accounting through my role as Finance Director for Opera Santa Barbara,…read moreand the level of support goes far beyond traditional bookkeeping and accounting. What I appreciate most is that they don't take a one-size-fits-all approach. They take the time to understand the organization, its operations, and what the financials actually need to accomplish...not just whether the books reconcile at the end of the month. The firm has supported us through everything from day-to-day accounting and payroll to financial reporting, budgeting, audit preparation, process improvements, and some genuinely complicated nonprofit accounting issues. They've also helped us implement better systems and strengthen our internal financial processes as the organization has grown. Marisa has built a team that feels much more like an extension of the organization than an outside accounting service. They're responsive, practical, and willing to dig into the messy stuff instead of just pointing it out. As someone who works closely with the firm every day, I can confidently say the value is in having people who understand not only accounting, but how to help an organization actually use its financial information to make better decisions. Highly recommend.
