The facility was immaculate and well equipped. The kennels were large with elevated pet beds and blankets. We were also allowed to bring Macie's bed to help her feel at home, as well as her favorite toys. The outside play area was securely fenced and offered a covered area for those reluctant to relieve themselves in the rain. There were also elevated beds for those guests wanting to enjoy the sun. Much to our (and other family member's) delight, pictures were regularly shared of our pup enjoying her Christmas vacation with "new friends". Santa even appeared on Christmas Eve and left each pup a stocking full of toys and treats. It's difficult to leave a furbaby anytime, but Dawg Dynasty treats their " four-legged guests" like beloved family members. Although this was our first stay, we cannot imagine boarding Macie at any other facility.

Coming from Columbus, Ohio, we needed day care for our little Bichon (who was a shelter dog) while…read morewe attended a family gathering in the Flatwoods area. Amanda responded to our inquiry and was so kind that we felt good about the choice of Foxxy Pet Resort. Finding the place was a little challenging but nothing GPS couldn't handle. Upon turning over our dog, Chase, she immediately welcomed him and made him feel secure and then she gave us a flyer with a back story about the business. We read it and learned that the service Amanda provides is a tribute to her late 13 year old son whose health struggles were eased by the companionship of his Boston Terrier, Grimm. We were very touched by this example of the beauty of a mother's love for her child and a child's love for his dog. Turning pain to something good is an act of faith and grace. During the day we received pictures from Amanda that reassured us that Chase was doing well and was in good hands. That was above and beyond and something only a fellow dog lover would understand would be appreciated. The next time that we are in the area with our fur baby, we will absolutely use Foxxy Resort again. Thanks Amanda (and Grimm) for a five star experience.

At first Dog House was awesome and a true up and coming business. I wholeheartedly supported the…read moreowner and appreciated her once excellent services. I spoke as her witness at town council when noise violations were brought up against her business and the verdict went on her favor. Later on in Jan/Feb 2025 timeframe I noticed her employees were never there. Owner had her very young son in the grooming area 3 times looking dirty and tired. My pup isn't trustworthy with small children unfortunately. I mentioned this and the owner said, "well he needs to learn how to act around dogs". I didn't like that answer but also empathize with working moms so I continued to support her business. My last visit was a disaster. I scheduled a week in advance, the toddler boy was there again and yet another new employee. 6 hours later he still wasn't groomed fully groomed just bathed. I went to get my pup because I don't want him locked up all day. I mentioned I don't like him being kenneled all day without potty breaks and water. She claimed to walk the dogs when they are with her all day. I didn't believe that to be true because she was watching her son and grooming with a new hire and her husband. If she didn't have time to groom my dog in 6 hours how would she have time to walk him? Furthermore they forgot to use my shampoo (the shampoo they use smells terrible to me and gives my pup dandruff) she said her husband forgot to use my shampoo. Her husband isn't a groomer and I didn't like that random people were working with my pup. The prices are about 30% hire than other groomers and I always tip $20.00 but I later learned the tips are not given to groomers. Dog House was once an excellent groomer/ boarder but the employee turnover and tip controversy and long groom times and very young children walking loose just are not acceptable to me. I wish them well, but they must treat employees with respect and pay better attention to client requests.
