The owner's mother proceeded to yell at him so much before I even left that he pooped on the floor in the kennel at which point she started yelling at me that I should have had him go outside before I brought him in. Unfortunately we were on our way to catch a train to leave, otherwise I would have left with him then. When I picked him up, he had no food left but had clearly lost weight. I knew before that they gave extra food to their chickens but I would have expected that they let him at least have his food and if not already down, give me the extra. I was also told that he barked constantly. Buddy was not a barker, he did tend to whine a lot but that is different than barking. When we got him home, he was so petrified for a couple of weeks so I don't know what they had done to scare him. It's important to note that the positive reviews were mostly before the current owners bought it.

We finally got around to bringing one of our four dogs to Soggy-Doggie after living in Oxford for…read moretwo years. We brought our almost 12 year old, 80lb chocolate lab for the self serve dog wash and he was very comfortable considering he does not like baths! The water was a great, warm temperature, unlike some other self serve washes where the water is too cold and our dogs shake from the chilliness. The staff supplied us with the shampoo as well as conditioner and face wash. We also really appreciated that the staff did not pressure us into using the blow dryer on our dog after we washed him, they offered it, but they did not try to force us once we said no (as other places have in my experience). Anyways, this is a great little self-serve dog wash and I can't speak for the grooming services, but the staff seemed to know what they were doing and genuinely care for dogs for I'm sure the grooming here is wonderful too!

We are regular go-ers to paws and beyond. We have been taking our Pinto for grooming with Archie…read morefor at least ten months, if not longer. Archie is great with dogs. He charges a really reasonable price. Pinto gets nervous and Archie is very gentle with him. He's also very honest, and will update you after how the appt went. There's a little window you can look through to see your dog groomed if you want. Archie is also the first groomer we ever had that actually asks us what we want for grooming and will make sure we are absolutely satisfied. And he is consistent every time. Because of such positive grooming experiences, we have also enrolled Pinto in their six week beginning obedience training course. Sharon is an excellent trainer. She's patient, attentive, responsive, observant and considerate. The group classes were well done. I learned a lot about dog behavior and nutrition too that I still put to daily use. Pinto has had great improvements on his leash w alking behavior and we are highly impressed. Overall this is a great place for your dog. We have not used their boarding services yet but would not hesitate in the future if we need to. I trust them and also trust Sharon's advice in case I ever have a doggie question.

The only part I didn't like was the blow dryer and brushing after my bath. My new mom says: The ladies at the salon were able to get us in really quickly, and they were very friendly. I was amazed they could bathe a cat, but they did it, and now she doesn't smell like the barn she was in before coming to us. For what they accomplished (in only an hour!), the price was well worth it. 10/10 absolutely recommend
