From used fiction in a variety of languages to true antiquarian treasures for the serious collectors. Given the nature of the books, I'd say they're great quality as well! In my experience it's been rare to find such well-preserved medieval and early modern texts at such fair prices. The service is also wonderful with staff who are well-informed and helpful but also understand the need to browse. Definitely one of my must-visits whenever I'm in Oslo!

This 2 story shop is covered with books, maps, and other literature, from top to bottom, whether they be shelved, stacked, or otherwise underfoot. I could have spent hours here wading through and getting lost is this beautiful mess of a used and antique book store. There's even a largely preserved office upstairs, making it feel that some eccentric fellow abandoned everything in place. I left with a cool South Norway map and some clear regrets of what what I definitely missed beyond the next page.
