Andres came over to do an assessment and he even did a couple of complimentary patches on some leaks I had! I appreciated this. I felt he had MY BEST INTEREST IN MIND. You dont find this in roofing companies anymore! Everyone wants to upsell and overcharge. He was very upfront and gave some suggestions on my roof. My roof was installed yesterday!! Andres and Rafael, crew lead, and the whole team gave me a beautiful new roof! Level 4 WIND AND HAIL resistant Owens Corning Storm shingles!!! Perfect for my low slope roof. BeautifuI new attic vents! I even had a new dryer vent installed on the roof!! The next time it rains, I am going to have a SOUND SLEEP!! THANK YOU JESUS! The cleanup was amazing! NOT ONE NAIL was left with their magnetic tool. They had so much tarp everywhere covering my yard, front and back and sides, while they were working. They protected and covered everything. VERY IMPRESSIVE :-D The software prompted us for details, photos, comments, etc... Then matched us with local Roofing Companies. Four replied...ONE was contacting us almost immediately and continue the communication on Saturday and Sunday! Looking at the reviews, there was one that stood out for sure, and we had hopes they would be the ones available to come to our home. *****Atrium Roofing ***** All I can say is WOW! We did have urgency for an estimate because of the rain predicted to come this weekend and week. Our roof was compromised during the last big storm about 4 weeks ago and we have had leaking in our Master Bedroom :-(. Mr. Jose Puente communicated with us through my Yelp! App and we had secured an appointment with them right away. Mr. Andres Gomez came promptly to asses the damage and discuss our options. He was prompt, clear, kind, professional and not rushed at all. My experience exposed a lack of integrity and that the co-owner, Christian Bolding, does not keep his word and cannot be trusted. I feel I was manipulated, pressured and coerced into signing an agreement of work and into paying my insurance deductible up front, even before my insurance company (USAA) had an opportunity to inspect my roof. Honeydew employee, Dalton Goodwin who arrived at my house in a "Precision Home Pros" paint-wrapped vehicle and said they operate under that name in McKinney TX, had me sign the work agreement on an iPad and didn't point out any specifics of the agreement. In a call with Mr. Bolding on Mr. Goodwin's speaker phone, before I paid Honeydew the deductible amount, I asked what if USAA doesn't find damage. Mr. Bolding's response was, "We'll refund your money." USAA found no hail damage, yet Mr. Bolding has refused to repay me the 2% deductible, worth several thousand dollars. I'm ashamed to say I signed the work agreement without reading it. It states they will not refund or repay the insurance deductible payment I made to them, even if the insurance company doesn't find damage. Mr. Bolding told me it is law that they must collect the deductible. I've since called multiple roofing companies who confirmed it is law to collect the deductible, but not before damage is confirmed by the insurance company. Every roofing company I spoke with said they would never collect the deductible before the insurance company has inspected the roof. I feel I've been scammed. USAA used a 3rd party adjuster from All Cat Services to inspect my roof. They said the only damage they found was in 2 different 10'x10' squares which were marked by Honeydew. They said the damage is not consistent with storm damage. No damage was found anywhere else on my roof. I've given Honeydew the general report and the photo sheet I obtained from USAA. The USAA claims rep verbally told me the only damage on my roof was "manufactured damage" and referred to it as vandalism. USAA will pay for a new roof under vandalism coverage, not hail damage. Honeydew was the only company on my roof. Even after sharing this information with Honeydew both verbally and in writing, Mr. Bolding has refused to refund my money. The evidence from USAA suggests that Honeydew is responsible for the damage to my roof. I don't want Honeydew Roofing to replace my roof based on this evidence. My wife and I are senior citizens, and I feel we are victims of financial abuse of the elderly. I wish I had done an internet search on Mr. Bolding before I engaged with Honeydew. Don't make the same mistake we did, choose a different roofing company.

He then went on my roof and did his inspection. Once complete I asked how long it would take and he stated a week and maybe a few days longer depending on the final inspection. I asked why so long when the first company stated they could complete it in 1 day. Chris told me "It's not good to immediately install panels the day the roof is installed. You should wait a few days for the panels to settle." Something the first company failed to inform me. When I eventually shared the insurance quote with Chris, he found a lot of items the adjuster and the first company missed. He then went back to my insurance adjuster and fought that battle for us. In the end I decided to go with D&D Construction because not only did Chris seem to know more about the right process to replace a roof with solar panels, but he also found things missed initially. I got the feeling the first company just wanted to take the insurance money, do quick job, and get back to the city they came from. Chris did the post install inspection and found a couple areas of tar on my patio. He called the roofing foreman and the next day the foreman was at my home and cleaned the spots. I am thankful I found Chris on Google and will highly recommend him to anyone needing a roof replacement.

They were incredibly professional and super kind to us answering our very basic questions. So patient. I was impressed. My traditional Chinese dad is not easy to please and he really was happy with them! They showed us pictures of the roof and explained what areas were damaged.
