In fact, I called a couple of places and could tell over the phone that Mady was knowledgeable. I recommend calling and speaking to the EA or CPA or whomever you are planning to use to get an idea of how they can help you with your tax scenario. I made an appointment, spoke to Mady briefly, and then returned a week later to pick up my tax return. My first impression was that Debbie and Mady are both laid back people with good senses of humor and seem to approach their clients and work with friendliness and respect. Debbie who makes the appointments and looks like she helps in many ways, was very nice and managed all the paperwork I emailed. Mady is personable and knowledgeable and I was very happy that he went over my entire tax return with me and answered all my questions. The office has a few different sections so don't be afraid to ask for privacy if you feel more comfortable discussing your taxes (without anyone else in the room waiting). They happily accommodated my request. I got money back and in legit, legal ways. Mady does not seem to cut corners, while still making sure I got all the breaks and benefits I could. Their office also seems organized - important for a tax office. They also always answered the phone when I called. Street parking is easy in the area. Call and make an appointment first. They take checks (or Visa/Mastercard with a $5 service fee). I was charged $250 which I think was reasonable. I was happy with how my return was handled and will definitely be back next year. Thanks Debbie & Mady!

Before going with Professional Tax Services, I had been using a fairly large business-centric tax preparer out of state only to receive terrible customer service and they were actually late with my tax returns to boot. I had also used another local CPA, also with a bad experience overall (while costing more as well). Professional Tax Services is the only place I feel that I made a smart choice with and have not regretted a second of using their services. For anyone reading this - you're getting a very high quality of service with Professional Tax Services at prices that are truly affordable (if not downright cheap). I'd gladly pay them a lot more because I feel like they aren't charging enough for the amazing service they offer. I highly recommend them and that's not to be taken lightly.

We truly feel like we dodged a bullet here. I should have checked the reviews first. Bottom line:…read moreit doesn't matter if you're 1 minute late or 10--excuses don't cut it. I have every text message showing the irresponsible and unprofessional behavior. If you have an 11 AM paid consultation and you know you'll be late, there's no excuse for not sending a quick text or email. I get it, people get busy, but accountability and a simple apology are the bare minimum. The lack of both was unacceptable and unprofessional. End of story. Update: Ara, you still never apologized--that's the bottom line. Your response proves it. Saying, "Oh, we offered a refund as an apology" isn't an apology at all. Of course, a refund is expected when the consultation never happened. That's not generosity, that's basic fairness. What's insulting is the attempt to pass it off as if it makes up for your behavior. You were late, you didn't take responsibility, and now you're scrambling with excuses. That's why I said we dodged a bullet--because you're disingenuous. And frankly, trying to compare yourself to attorneys, doctors, or restaurant owners is laughable. They take responsibility and accountability for their clients and customers. You do not. That's who you are and what you are
