They're the best in the business and I've dealt with many many digital people in my time. They have helped our company increase sales through SEO and PPC, something i personally knew only a little about. But the chaps are all very hands on, transparent and keep great communication with myself and my staff. We've learnt a lot through our meetings and the ROI speaks for itself. They have reduced our spend, and increased our ROI. Very pleased indeed, and will continue to work with these guys as long as they'll have us. Check out their site & call them, make up your own mind - www.bluemonkee.com

As far as charity shops go this one is a good one although it's a little bit cluttered and…read moredisorganised. I initially went in here as I spotted something I was after from the outside. When I went in to the store I was shocked about firstly, how busy it was and secondly how all over the place everything was. The strange thing about it was that it was quite exciting riffling through all the bargains looking for treasure. I was actually looking for some picture frames and there were certainly a lot on offer as well as loads of other furniture. The only problem with the store was the lack of staff, I suppose this is because the saints who work their are mainly volunteers and they do a fantastic job - they just need more! Barnardo's is conveniently located on Bridge Street, just a few hundred yards from the City Centre. You should pop in and have a wee hoke through all the gear - you might just find something you like/probably don't need but end up buying anyway.

And there wasn't even a pushing match with my flatmate of the time either, as he got one for four quid at the same time. They're portables, obviously, but there are usually proper sized tellies there for about twenty quid. Check this place out first before you go near Cash Converters! The shop also sells electrical goods such as fridges and cookers for very good prices, although not for a fiver unfortunately, and it's the first place I'd come to if I had to kit out a new house. They have a vast collection of DVDS, and a very impressive and perfectly catalogued range of books. There's also some really nice costume jewellery, most of which looks individual and not a chain-store knockoff, framed pictures and general household bits and bobs, as well as plenty of clothes and shoes. As with most charity shops there's not much in the clothing or shoes range for our male friends, alas, but the amount of bargains in all the other categories should keep everyone happy.

I then brought my leather jacket into the shop. Upon arriving at the shop I was greeted by the guy who I was speaking on the phone. I explained to the guy that I was just speaking to him on the phone to which he replied 'oh yeah the leather jacket!'. The guy then advised that the price would be £55 and that it would be ready to pick up in 4 weeks time. I assumed the guy was joking as he said it whilst smiling/laughing. After taking my details down the guy then asked for the £55. At this point I realised that he wasn't joking about the price - I then said to the guy 'on the phone you advised me that the price would start from £6.50' to which he replied 'you said that it was a jacket you didn't mention that it was a leather jacket on the phone'. I clearly stated on the phone that it was a leather jacket. The guy then said that I wasted one of his dockets whilst recording my details and then become incredibly rude towards me whilst other costumers were in the store.

I used to find Sanco to be a good spot to get computer-related malarkey. A bigger hard-drive,…read morememory sticks, CDs to back up information... it was always useful for that sort of thing. It's a very small shop but it always had what I needed and the staff are friendly and know what they're talking about. They've built a good reputation locally, which can only come from the type of customer service you get from independent local retailers (see my reviews on Direct Furniture, Gibson's butchers, etc.,). In recent years they've shifted a lot of their focus to tills and cash registers for businesses. You can still get most of the accessories for your computer that I mentioned, but they really seem to have found a niche locally for customising and supplying those touch screen tills that you see in so many pubs and restaurants these days. On the customer service point, I bought a hard drive from here once and a friend was fitting it for me when he told me it wasn't functioning properly. I thought this was unlikely and that he just couldn't do it, but I brought it back to Sanco, they tested it, and it was faulty. They gave me another one, and their apologies, and I was on my way. No hassle.
Welcome to the glamorous, sexy, high-flying world of office supplies! If you love arguing over…read morewhether the 5 Star, 80gsm copier paper is crisper or more absorbent than its nearest competitor, or you're one of those people who prefers post-its instead of wallpaper for your office decor, and enjoys painting pages with highlighters, then you're going to love this place! Personally I find it all very boring - I want paper that will have stuff on it when I click 'print' and it comes out of the printer. That's about the extent of my interest in it. I also find it annoying to have to look through a catalogue of types of paper to order the stuff. Luckily enough, this place has a delivery service. It therefore has computer records of orders. A swift phone call that includes the sentence, "what did I order the last time", resolves all issues and avoids a conversation so boring that I almost want to watch those events in gymnastics where participants wave a ribbon around or contort while holding a ball (there's more merit in having "Watching TV" as an Olympic event). UBE seems to be a bit more expensive than going to a large discount store, but they deliver supplies, and have a good service. They also supply chairs, printers, photocopiers, etc.

There are also supplies of photographic paper in the shop too, which happens to be immaculately clean and pleasant. If you've done your ink purchase you can always, I suppose, turn round and look through the DVDs in the East End Video store as both businesses run under the same, very small, roof.
