There are a lot of great reviews posted here for Justin, but my experience was not great at all. Seattle market is tough for both the seller and buyer. It is a seller market, which means the buyer has to spend a lot more to get a house. More money to spend means more commission to the agents. Which means the agent has to spend a lot more effort and time in finding a house for you, they have to look for houses in every corner, visit each house, and put offers on every house the buyer likes, even if that house seems over your budget. We are a victim of our agent mistakes and agents do make lots of mistakes. So, for the buyers out there, watch out specially in those hot markets. Our agent committed the following mistakes: 1) NOT putting an offer on every single house you like, even if the agent disagrees with you, the house might look over your budget, but maybe not. It happens that everyone may think it is over budget, and guess what, maybe no one puts an offer. This happened to me, do not let it happen to you. We lost on a really good house and a year later we bought a house for $100k more and not even close to the quality of the first house. 2) NOT setting with you to figure your finances, this is a very important step, especially for first-time home buyers who fear the responsibility of home ownerships. Your agent should help you figure out how much you really afford. You may be too conservative, I was this way, but it sometimes fear, so your agent should help you budget and overcome this fear. I think we only had a 10-minute conversation on this, few months after we started house hunting, too late. 3) NOT tailoring search for you. Your agent should help you widen your search area and not simply rely on the automated email they get sent out to the buyer. They need to understand your needs and preferences, not just your price, number of bedrooms or square footage. The automated emails are not tailored to you, they are based on filters and unfortunately that is all what the agent relies on. This is sounds like a criticism for our agent, but it is also a lesson for all buyers out there. read more

When we planned to sell our Seattle home, we interviewed many agents during our selection process. After a long process, we selected Justin, who really worked hard for us. During the sale process, it was not met without challenges, with difficult buyers. At the end, Justin came through for us, and we sold our home August 2018. Prior to listing our house, we walked through the house with Justin to get his professional opinion on how to update and improve the home to add curb appeal. The home buying process can be extremely scary and sktechy to say the least. While you're juggling price versus size versus yard space versus versus the neighborhood, there are a lot of people out there with their own agendas trying to make a quick buck off you. Unfortunately, the process of buying our home did not go as smoothly as we had hoped. The actual paperwork and negotiations went really well, but after we got the keys and showed up at the house for the first time there were a lot of things missing--the microwave, light fixtures, mirrors,etc. The lawn was unkept and the property was not what we agreed upon in our contract. Suddenly, the excitement of buying our first home turned into resent. We worked with Justin to draft a letter to the sellers asking them to return the items. The selling agent didn't even care to help do the right thing. They basically said..so what...we all got paid already. After a few days of battling back in forth, Justin finally stepped in and took care of the lawn and reimbursed us for the items. It was not his responsibility, we really thought it was that of the sellers, but he stepped in anyways. Moral of the story..if you don't have a trustworthy, professional, and hardworking agent on your side, you can easily get taken for. Justin was exactly this, and my husband and I could not be happier with the process and the results. He kept our best interests in mind and helped us find exactly what we were looking for. I never once felt pressured into buying something that wasn't the right fit for us. Additionally, his overall knowledge on building construction/history, and all of the tiny little house details was amazing.
