Spilled sour old milk (damn you messy room mate, who doesn't empty milk cartons before throwing…read morethem away!), whilst kindly taking out the thrash, all over a wool and leather coat. Solution? Getting it dry cleaned at the nearest possible place. Seemed like I had a very special coat that needed very special attention to be cleaned properly (have later lost all patience and ability to get it dry-cleaned again and washed and shrunk it in the machine at home), so the nice lady at the dry-cleaners told me they had to send it away to a special place. I thought I was already at that special place, but didn't argue. I was told to come get my coat in three weeks (!). This seemed excessive to me, but was ok. When I came to get my coat after three weeks, I had lost my ticket (I'm a mess) and they couldn't find the coat. I was told to look for it myself in-between a thousand other coats, which was kind of a mess too, but at least I got to try the thing you put your foot on that makes the coats spin on a merry-go-round like thing. Kinda fun. Anyway, they were closing and I was told to come back. Having lost all hope of ever getting my coat back, they had luckily found it when I returned the next day. It was clean, but the leathery parts were very stiff. An ok result, I guess. The price was a bit steep, at 350-something DKK, so I might try a different dry-cleaner the next time I spill something... But then again, my coat is very special.

After a short visit at this tailor I lost the two buttons of the jacket I brought for tailoring…read more For a moment I also lost my faith in humanity. Mr. Noori tempts to get aggressive when things are not done by the way he wants. Despite that I had accepted his price without discussion he did seem take my attempt to haggle 30 DK as an insult. Further I asked Mr Noori to specify the items by the brand on the receipt. Simply because of an insurance case that I had experienced with another tailor some time ago. Other tailors have done this without minding. But for Mr. Noori this was out of deal and it made him quite upset. He accused me for not trusting him and he threw my clothes on the floor. The 5 minutes I had been using of his time was according to him an hour and not useful spending. I left very upset by the episode. The buttons that I had placed on his desk was gone when I came back for them. I can only speak about the service at Noori Skrædderi as the clothes was not handed in for tailoring. And the service was in contrast to the description of Magnus K. an utterly negative experience. Note that "cleaning one shirt for 18 DK" is on the premise that you deliver 5 shirts. This is normal in the industry in Denmark as many may know. But the tailor has not stated this premise on Yelp.

This guy is insane. I misplaced my docket to pick up my dry cleaning and he wouldn't believe me…read morethat it was my clothes, even though my phone number was associated with the receipt. He kept shouting, "NO DOCKET NO CLOTHES" then when I wouldn't leave he was screaming at me to get out of his shop and actually got in my face like he was going to hit me. It was crazy. Nothing I have experienced in the nearly 12-months I have lived here. I had to go and find someone on the street to help me; someone who spoke Danish in an attempt to get more specific with this guy who had clearly lost the plot. After finding this amazing man at a nearby store who came back with me; he was able to calm him down. I simply paid, picked up my clothes and left. After such a dramatic incident, I'm still unsure of the reasoning behind his initial reaction. Maybe he's been messed around before and items have gone missing. Either way, there's no excuse for this reaction. In a city like this, where everyone is so polite and solution oriented, this was a very unsettling incident. Do not go here if you can avoid it.

It was EXPENSIVE- probably $20 USD for a blouse to be cleaned. We sent off a large batch of laundry to be cleaned and it cost a pretty penny in total. We got our clothes back nicely folded and hung up but all of our laundry was still dirty and still smelled like it did before. This place had one job to do and didn't do it. This is especially disappointing for travelers who really need clean laundry!

Just like weather forecast in Denmark that changes by the minute, so does the service here. I have…read morebeen to this place several times since I'm in possession of wool coats that ashamedly cost an arm and a leg, and there's no way around it to clean it but to deliver it at a dry cleaner place. I have experienced good service here where I was received with a smile, paid relatively lower than the next visit (for the same coat!! I need to keep my receipt to prove the injustice!) and I have bad service too when the woman behind the counter (the same woman, nonetheless!!) practically scolded me for not covering the metal buttons with alu foil paper when I delivered another coat (with lots of metal accessories on it, apparently). Isn't it their job, by the way? She made it feel like it was my job to do it, otherwise it would not be their fault if the metal buttons were ruined / discoloured after the cleaning process. See, this is what I hate about Danish (lack of) service sometimes. Not that the customers are mostly wrong, but we get scolded as well when paying for a service that we're entitled to get. I'm in dire need of alternatives of this place but heard that other places are mostly the same. Help! I need a new dry cleaner place, and until then, unfortunately I just have to bear this weird service from this curious place :/
