They are a small firm that can provide individual attention, something you will never get from H & R Block (and the like). My taxes are challenging, to say the least. I am an independent contractor, but "on the books" with one client, own property, have deductions, etc. Plus I went to Art School, so numbers just aren't my thing. Ha. Combined with the fact that the tax laws change yearly, who can keep up with that unless it is your business to do so? Well Fleck & Uhlich keeps up with all of that, no worries. From my initial consultation, when I sat down with Barbara and went over all my concerns, I received great customer service. All of my emails and phone calls were returned promptly, and my questions were answered. She even suggested that I open a SEP IRA, in addition to my Roth IRA, to help with deductions and to secure my retirement. As I read…read morein multiple reviews they are not lying Carlos is a great at what he does and is very knowledgeable the only reason I know that is because I have family members who still go to him after 20+ years and speak so highly of him. I can't say the same for the front desk people because that wasn't the case for me today! I was trying to schedule any appointment with my normal tax accountant yesterday but unfortunately he was fully booked then I remembered my parents always saying they wouldn't go anywhere else then with Carlos so I figured why not try Carlos i mean my parent known him for years even my sibling go with him and I never heard anything bad. I get on the phone and called the main number that's on his website yesterday hoping to get information and immediately encountered the most rudest unprofessional person, before I can even get a word out she immediately said we aren't taking new clients and hung up. I was in shock I let it go and went home for the day. Today I tried calling again this morning to get more information I was trying to be understanding maybe I called too late and they were leaving for the day. Maybe she had. A rough day I don know. After encountering the same rude behavior I asked if could speak to Carlos directly. She denied having that information like she didn't know it and didn't work there. How do you not have that information were you work? Weird! This time called me rude and hung up after asking a question. Anyways after communicating with my parents about what happened they somehow were able to find his number. I called the number and it when straight to voicemail! I sent him a message not to be entitled or anything like that just to be sure I was given the correct information because I was on the phone for like 10 seconds before hanging up and to be honest I thought he should know how his potential new clients are being treated! And from what I read here on review I'm not the only one getting treated like that. Sadly All I got from his response was I'm sorry good luck finding someone else.
