My cousin took BETTER and way more shots than he did. We met with the owner of the company who showed us pictures and asked about what we were looking for in a wedding photographer. We were also told we would have 2 photographers numerous times over email and phone. WELL, WE NEVER GOT THE 2 PHOTOGRAPHERS IN WRITING ON OUR CONTRACT SO WE COULDN'T USE THAT AS A REASON FOR A REFUND. BIZARRE THAT THEIR EMPLOYEES EMAILS DON'T MEAN ANYTHING. Our photographer was awful. While he did get a few good shots, we thought we would get a professional that would handle the photography for the day. We had 10 hours of him asking us what pictures we wanted. Um, isn't that what we are paying you for? And if someone looks out of place, aren't you supposed to make the picture look better? I was more than thorough telling our photographer what we wanted in writing and that day. He missed so many shots and we also have 1 picture of important things, such as my husband and his parents. Really?! How hard would it have been to take 2 shots of that?! And although we took staged shots with our families, I assumed he would have taken some candids later. Funny that there are hardly any pictures once we got to the reception! I have a few friends that used Modern Image and their pictures were great! And they had thousands of images compared to our less than 800! I guess I figured Modern Image Studios admitted they should have put us with a different photographer and had another photographer there to assist. Yet, with it being our wedding day, they couldn't do much I have to say that they did try to make up for the awful wedding pictures by giving us discounts on pictures, etc. We said no because we didn't need more pictures--we wanted pictures of our wedding day! After months of tears and back and forth fighting with Modern Image Studios, they finally gave us a small refund. Overall, I wish I would have spent three times as much money to deal with a reputatble photographer. I should not have had to spend my wedding day instructing an amateur on what to take and then being upset getting back less than stellar photos. I love getting a good deal but this was not worth it. *One thing that really annoyed me about this company was that they put out sign-in sheets on the tables for people to sign-up for our pictures when they were available. This is pretty trashy to me and I did not want my pictures shared with everyone. **I used a videographer from this company and that turned out fantastic. The videographer captured so much of our wedding day so it even made it more obvious that the photographer was out of it. This is the only reason they get 2 stars in my book!

As the others have said, he is a phenomenal photographer with a great eye and aesthetic. But more than that, he is a solid human being. Long story short, my now-husband and I had to find a new photographer one month before our wedding. Needless to say, I was panicking, but thankfully Mike had our day open and not only that, he went above and beyond in that month to make us feel comfortable with him for the big day by insisting on meeting in person multiple times and scheduling a casual photoshoot so we could get used to his direction and working together. It's Mike's professionalism and warmth that really stood out and impressed me. He's never late, had a great second shooter, and is very responsive to phone and email. Of course his photos are crazy, crazy beautiful and I am SO glad we found him (through Yelp too if I may add)! On the day of the wedding, I didn't notice him in our faces at all. As a bride, I know minimum reviews or a small portfolio may keep you from reaching out to a photographer or videographer, but I'm so glad that we found Rolando! I can gush forever about his photography skills which are amazing! I did a lot of research before stumbling upon Rolando's Wedding Wire reviews (http://www.weddingwire.com/biz/andrade-photography-naperville/3db700ec6787445d.html) then I checked out his blog (http://www.photographybyandrade.com/blog) and then my (now) husband and I met Rolando at a Starbucks for an introductory meeting. Spoiler alert: we booked on-the-spot. Rolando offered a great package at a competitive price. We booked about 7 months in advance. Throughout the months leading up to the wedding, Rolando would reach out to us from time-to-time to check in, and asked us about our photo style, asked us to make a list of specific moments we wanted him to capture (we actually never did the list), and yet I can't think of any moments that Rolando may have missed. He was always accessible via email, phone or text. Our package included an engagement session, which was so much fun, despite the freezing weather, and afterwards, we felt even more reassured that we made the right choice in picking Rolando because he was so passionate and creative about his photography, professional, and down-to-earth. The day of the wedding, Rolando arrived at least 30 minutes earlier than he said he would, and his helper, the second photographer, also arrived early at the groom's house. Rolando was so flexible with all the events throughout the day. (He walked with me and my caravan family to church (about a 10-minute walk in a residential area), hauling his equipment in a suitcase and capturing photos along the way --(something our videographer, separate company, wasn't willing to do). He also joined us in the party bus, then photos at the park, and stayed until like 10:30 PM, (or later?) at the hall. (Rolando had agreed to stay until we said it was okay to leave, or at least until all the traditional events had taken place such as the garter toss, bouquet toss, etc.) If you're still looking for a photographer, you should just call Rolando now and pray that he's not booked yet.
