I had a very disappointing experience and would strongly caution against booking this salon…read more I reached out on December 2nd to book a hair styling appointment for December 13th at 12:30 PM for a 3 PM wedding. Sarah handled the call and emphasized that I needed to "actually show up," as she would be coming in specifically for this appointment. While that comment felt odd, I agreed because I really needed reliable styling for a wedding. After the call, I sent a follow up text to confirm the appointment, which she confirmed. The day before the appointment, while already traveling to the area, I sent a courtesy text asking whether a wash was included. Only then did she respond with, "So glad you texted me," and informed me she could no longer do the appointment at 12:30 PM and instead asked to move it to 9 AM. That was not possible for me, as I already had another appointment at that time. This change was communicated less than 24 hours before the appointment, and only because I proactively reached out. After I explained that I could not move the time and that this was for a wedding, I received no response at all. By that point, all other salons and stylists in the area were fully booked, leaving me in an extremely stressful position. I understand that things come up, but for event services, especially weddings, clear communication, reliability, and follow through are essential. The lack of advance notice and complete lack of follow-up made this experience incredibly frustrating. I would not recommend booking if you need dependability.

I talked about the experience with a few other people as well! Telling it exactly as it happened, so perhaps the policy had been changed but I don't appreciate the owner saying otherwise. Owner needs to accept that not everyone always walks away happy and that not everyone will leave a 5 star review (and if they don't, it's not because they were mistaken on where they went!).

Lucky for me, Katie at the Mirror Lake Inn spa grabbed her hot stones and got to WORK. The 80 minute massage I experienced was truly next level relaxation. I made the appointment for a Friday one week before, and was so excited to get in. The spa itself is gorgeous, though a huge bummer that the sauna and locker room aren't accessible at this time due to COVID. I took a walk through and had envy for everyone who got to enjoy that level of LAVISH. Still 5 stars even though I didn't get the full experience. Staff was fantastic and you can't beat the location. This is the biggest, splurgiest "treat yo self" I'll do all year, as an 80 minute hot stone massage ran me more than $200 with tip. She's not cheap but I will continue to rationalize this experience in my head as 100000% worth it. The need to not pay attention to anything but my back feeling better for an hour was a gift only $200 can buy. This business page is confusing and the photos are more indicative of the INN then the spa. I stayed at the next door high peaks resort and did a service here, and you do not have the stay at the inn to enjoy the spa. Happy relaxing and thank you to Katie and the team at the spa for such an awesome experience!

The Inn looks out over Mirror Lake with spectacular views of the lake and Adirondacks. Our room was large, comfortable, and beautiful. There are three dining options - upscale restaurant, casual bar (they share the same 4 diamond restaurant kitchen) and a waterfront pub. We spent time at all threes spots. Food and drinks at all were perfect. A great place to stay for a romantic getaway.

The minute we entered we were greeted by the owner, Christina, who got us set up for our massage. I had Melissa as a my massage therapist and couldn't have asked for a better experience. The owner Christina is a gifted healer and has created a sacred sanctuary for people to retreat from the chaos of the busy world where you can come to reconnect to yourself and truly leave feeling rebalanced and filled with peace. The energy of this space is extraordinary and filled with magic and love. It is rare to find a place with this kind of energy and is all a result of Christina's pure heart, intention and incredible gifts. She is a rare gem who is so needed right now! I am so grateful for the place she has created. This place is truly a gem and I cannot recommend it enough!
