"Let there be hope Hope in your heart…read moreThat our love may revive" (Jagger and Richards) You'll find ReVive in that long strip mall south of the Harvest Café and Bakery, pretty much directly across the street from the International Skating Center. They sell higher end consignment clothing plus shoes, handbags, hats, and jewelry. The store was impeccably stocked and everything looked neat and very well organized. We have a formal function coming up this summer with a "Black and Gold" theme, so we've made a habit of going on these treasure hunts to various thrift and consignment stores for a black and gold bowtie as well as a black and gold long dress. We left ReVive empty handed because they do not sell any clothing for men, and they don't stock any long dresses. Nevertheless, we very much enjoyed looking around and visiting with the owner. Kelly could not have been nicer and more friendly.

GO!!!

We've visited their Simsbury store a bunch of times, and we saw pretty much the same selection of low priced goods here in Glastonbury - men's & women's clothing, shoes, household goods, artwork, books, toys, etc. We caught a 50% off sale on clothing yesterday, and I walked out with a $15 blazer for $7.50. Pretty sweet, eh? All proceeds go to charity (The Village for Families) and the store employees are all volunteers. The two women we interacted with were as nice and friendly as could be, we really enjoyed chatting with them. Bottom line? You can score some great bargains and support a worthy charity all at the same time.

Most Goodwills or Thrift stores are a gamble. I've been to the Avon location many times over the…read moreyears, while I haven't found the great Picasso masterpiece, this is a pretty solid store. This Goodwill isn't the largest, it is still a nice size. Their clothing is sorted by size and by color. The books could be much better organized. If the kid's books, and at the very least "adult" books could be on separate shelves it would make browsing a lot easier. It is worth a look as most will run you $1.99. One of the things that makes me a bit sad is when I find someone's grandma in a framed portrait. You won't be finding my grandma's picture at any Goodwill. Another thing that I'm a bit confused about, is whoever gets rid of handmade pottery. They all have their names engraved on the bottom. These are very unique and likely made in high school, then given to Grandma. On today's trip I found a very cute plush bird. I have a few of these birds in my office. This Goodwill is fairly priced and it has fitting rooms.

Used boys shorts $7.19, boys sports brand t-shirts $6.99, etc. Carts are filthy - I don't think they have ever been hosed down. Often, stained clothes on the floor. Nearly all items are overpriced, and I'm very disappointed to see this store go downhill fast. The positives about the store - very helpful staff, great location with plenty of parking.

Out of everywhere I have been, I am most impressed with this store. The selection is enormous: SO much beautiful jewelry, Chanel/Gucci/Ferragamo shoes/purses, original oil paintings, etc. It was all so reasonably priced and everyone at the shop was so kind and helpful. I loved how intentional and curated the items felt, it all looked of very high quality and things are organized beautifully: designer fashion items in one area, necklaces and rings in another, china displayed by color/collection. I felt like a kid in a candy shop. Pictured are some of my finds. Can't recommend this place enough. Incredible!

I always take a look at the men's shirts first. I was very surprised to see them tagged at $12 here, which is substantially more than I customarily see at the Simsbury store, where I've picked up quite a few similar long sleeve Oxford shirts for $5. Otherwise, the store is very neat and organized and has the usual accompaniment of clothing, footwear, accessories, household goods, books, etc. I'm definitely a fan of thrift and second hand stores, and even though I was looking for a long sleeve white shirt, I walked out empty-handed today.
