Gotta mean someone has created delicious recipes that keeps people coming back time & time again! We had the opportunity to drive through Canton, OH, so I imposed my will on the family and claimed, "IN THE NAME OF ICE CREAM!!!" ;) and took the freeway exit exuberantly! Yelp directions are on point. Basically street parking only, but be mindful of the streets signs for parking. You have the option of sitting down on the right side dining area and menu ordering, or, going left and just lining up for a hit & run of creamy treats! We decided to sit down and take in the ambiance. Both side of the creamery were hoppin'! Long line to get ice cream and the dining room was packed! Cool old school wooden booths covered the walls! Taggart's serves premium housemade ice cream. As far as ice cream selections, they have a wide variety: cookie sandwiches, chocolate covered bananas, sundaes, milkshakes, and floats. They also sell different varieties of soda. The cashier, Lauren seated and served me. I ordered a Clubhouse Sandwich with fries $9.50 and their Mini Bittner $5.45. The clubhouse sandwich was big and fresh. It could have been two meals and they gave me a hefty side of fries. It was surprisingly delicious. The MINI BITTNER is a Taggart's tradition and MUST-TRY if you are in Ohio. It is a smaller take on their Bittner, and includes about 8 oz of vanilla ice cream blended in chocolate sauce and topped with a huge serving of buttered, salted pecans. I kept eating it and the pecans were endless lol. I didn't love it, but it was interesting. It got quite salty after a while. All in all, the ice cream was good and the food was even better. "The Mess" is my favorite - it is German fries served scrambled in eggs, with ham and cheese. The food is fresh made to order and well seasoned. The museum tells the story of Brewster High School and the Railroad, and it is several large rooms, not 12 square feet. Bottom line, the Station is small town America at its best. It is not a haute chain restaurant, so don't expect that. Please disregard other reviews and support the community and its small business owners.
