Dr Lerner is exceptionally knowledgeable and professional. She and her staff take as much time is needed to clearly communicate and educate their clients. They do not have a glitzy facade like higher end-main line vets. They run a streamlined operation. My cat had a bump on her head and we took her to the ASPCA to get checked out, they said it was a schist and sent us on our way. well it got worse and so I took her here. Dr. Lerner and her staff were so caring and helpful, Dr. Lerner went 10 steps beyond what the vet at the ASPCA did and helped us make the tough decision to put her down, and even then the rest of the staff there were so kind and understanding of our pain in this decision. I still have another cat and if I ever need any veterinary care I am taking her here. read more

I have been so pleased with the level of care that we have gotten from Dr. Lerner and Dr. Tallant at Just For Cats. The vet techs are amazing too, and so caring. I always feel as if they are listening to my concerns and help me understand what everything means, from tests to medicines. They also taught me how to medicate my cat, which helped relieve a lot of my anxiety about it. They have been able to squeeze us in on short notice twice now, and they were caring and wonderful right up to the end, when we had to make the difficult decision to euthanize. I have been taking my diabetic cat to this vet for a few months. Our cat is getting worse so we have been trying to get an appointment here for two weeks. We had one last week and the doctor's office cancelled because the veterinarian had an emergency. We made an appointment for this week and when we brought him to the office, on time, the doctor refused to see him because we asked why they cancelled our appointment last week. Now my cat can barely walk, he can't jump, and his veterinarian is refusing to see him. Would not recommend this veterinary hospital to anyone who cares about their cat's wellbeing. read more

Today I took our 2 cats to Just for Cats for a wellness check. This was my first visit here, and I wanted a veterinarian's office that didn't have dogs scrambling around in the waiting room whimpering, when our kitties are not familiar with dogs. Just for Cats was amazing from the minute we walked in the door. I noticed a basket of rolled up towels that had been sprayed with "Feliway" which is like calming aromatherapy for cats, and a sign saying to take one and drape it over the carrier. Sandra, the vet tech, and Dr. Tallant were so good with these boys. I was surprised to see the cats so calm when they came out of their carriers. They were allowed to roam in the exam room and explore freely. That made them so much easier to handle, and they were happy, tails-up kitties! Not a peep when they got their shots, and Sandra was able to trim all their claws, something I cannot get them to stand still and let me do! Dr. Tallant took enough time to talk to me and explain things so that I understood them. Bravo to the staff here, for understanding cats and helping them (and me) to feel comfortable! read more

I cannot argue the merits of Dr. Lerner, especially the staff. Very knowledgeable,competent and kind. How ever I had a very disappointing experience within the past several weeks...I have in the past referred several new clients to her and made a donation thru her office to a local rescue. My husband has been out of work for 14 mos.and the situation is getting a little desperate, When. I asked if she could do a pro-bono check up on a newly rescued indoor/outdoor cat who needed an initial check up and serious tick control problem she refused and advised that we use Frontline for cats even though I said that OTC products were not effective. All this was relayed by phone through her (very sweet) assistant.. While maybe no vet would have agreed to a free visit,I am taken aback by this response. Have not made a final decision yet but am seriously considering switching to Media Cat Hospital. read more

Dr. Lerner and Just for Cats Staff saved my senior cat's life! I called and they saw me ASAP! Due to complications from another vet's office not affiliated with Just for Cats, my girl was suffering. Dr. Lerner listened to me, read my girl's file in detail, asked questions, gave her a very thorough exam. She was patient - was careful with my girl and started a plan to help to ease my baby's suffering. She and her staff did it!!! My baby is back to normal! She is healthy, happy and talking like normal again. I have never known a Cat Hospital that is like a family to one another and to all of us and our cat babies. This is the first place where my cats love the staff - they hate the car ride, but are so comfortable with the staff and actually love Dr. Lerner (the Vet) - how often does that happen! They are all about the cat's care, and at the same time they care about me as well. I feel like both me and my cats are getting treated~smile. I have a multi-cat household. And everyone who has seen her have been treated just as wonderful. Their office is like a home atmosphere, which I appreciate. They are welcoming and helpful at every single turn and want you to call a few days after the appointment just to update them on your cats progress. My panic phone call messages that I leave, are always returned with helpful words, and guidance. She doesn't judge me with my decisions from the different treatment options she offers. She wants to help my kitties and me. No one person is perfect, but these people will research and go the extra mile to cure and/or ease suffering, like no other veterinary office I have ever been to. I wish I found out about them years ago. If you want someone who cares about your baby like it was their own cat, is intelligent, is so kind, able to think outside the box, and listens to what you know about your baby, and who takes into consideration as much information as possible, this is the place for you! I adore my cat family and so does Just for Cats~ This is my heart writing this review, I am so happy and always relieved in regards to the outcome. I don't feel alone or lost when it comes to my cat family, I feel safe and taken care of, that's important to me. I will forever be grateful to Just for Cats!!! Thank you~ read more
