They must have raised the prices since moving to the new spot on Stoner & Santa Monica, because the tacos are $1.25/ea now. Or maybe he took a look at me and thought he could easily squeeze another couple quarters out of me. I don't know, there are no prices on the menu. Tacos were pretty tasty though, we tried the al pastor & the carne asada. It comes with just tortilla, meat, and grilled onions, but there's a nice salsa bar of sorts on the side so I loaded up on the cilantro, onions, salsa, red sauce & lime. The truck has moved! No longer on Bundy in front of the apartment building they have now moved out of the residential areas to avoid resident complaints and are now situated on the South side of Santa Monica just a little West of Barrington (right smack in front of the Goodwill). The menu has been slightly updated with the addition of Memelas (yes! I've been meaning to try these but rarely see them offered at westside trucks) and a whole slew of new meat options plus quesillo (great for nights when you want to go veg). Good news: they now include a couple chunks of pickled carrots with your taco order and there are folding chairs set up although the seats are made of cloth and you can't help but wonder if anything gross has been absorbed there. Also, the tacos are back to being priced at just $1.00 each. Bad news: maybe it was just an off night but the pollo taco didn't have the same great flavor as before...must return multiple times to make sure this was just a fluke! Also, most of the menu items don't have prices listed next to them but all you have to do is ask. read more

This truck - Juquila - was our 2nd stop on our Midnight Madness Taco Tour (that kinda rolls off the tongue nicely, doesn't it?). We sped right by - on a taco mission! - because from the streetside, they looked like a parked and dark truck - with no lettering on it at all! Thanks to our prior Yelp researching however, we were armed with info - and then surprised that we were the only ones there. It WAS 1am, okay, but I was expecting at least a FEW others on a Saturday night! We ordered 6 tacos - cabeza, lengua, asada, pastor, carnitas - we tried 'em all! They came up fast, wrapped tightly to go, and got some extra salsas too. They were set up for fast and organized service, and were super friendly. The tacos were a little smaller than Ruben's, our first stop. But everything was SO nicely plated, with the tacos surrounding a generous pile of radishes and lime slices - and there was a smidge of guac on each taco, along with smoky red chipotle salsa and cilantro and onions. The meat was all seasoned well, but the saltiness was what lingered after I swallowed (hey now, STILL talking about TACOS here!) so I feel like they coulda held back a little. On the other hand, bf thought the saltiness was balanced - and his fave of the evening's taco tasting was the *al pastor* here - which means that it even won out over Ruben's impressive looking spit-roasted al pastor! I unfortunately wasn't overly impressed with any of the meats - even my beloved lengua :(. I found the carnitas to be a little too chewy and stringy, and the al pastor was tasty but not as tender as Ruben's. It felt like the meat here wasn't as high of a quality as others have experienced, the beef was almost like ground beef. But the friendly service, the smidge of guac on the tacos, the fact that bf LOVED their al pastor, and the super low $1-per-taco prices convinces me that we'll be back, so I can give them another chance to wow me! read more

I adore taco trucks and I come to this one often. However, I'm pretty torn with my feelings. CONS: Not as much variety as El Paladar Oaxaqueno a few blocks away, pretty limited to tortas, tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and tlayudas, with limited meat choices. No barbacoa, which is my fave, or avocado slices in your quesillo tacos. Meats can overwhelmingly salty. Tacos are only $1, but everything else is pretty expensive compared to other mobile culinary establishments. $5 for a quesadilla and $7-9 for a tlayuda. PROS: The avocado salsa on the tacos is the shit! They're fast, well-organized, friendly, and wrap everything up nicely in a tray with your limes and condiments. Perfect amount of spice, to please both people who like it hot and white girls like me. The meat quality is far superior to the other few taco trucks in the area, albeit a little overly salty. They dress the tacos for you and give it to you in a wrapped tray, ready to go. I come here for dinner after late nights at work often, and completely sober, if that means anything. Oh and just an FYI, when i went last night there was a sign in their window that after August 1st, they will move to Stoner and SM between 9-2. I'll probably still call it the Bundy/Nebraska Taco Truck though, because it's hard to me to change habits. read more

I love this place. I love it so much I have allowed it to change my dinnertime from 7 pm to 9 pm and gain about 5 pounds from eating this late. So this is the scoop. This taco truck is available on Bundy/Nebraska from 9 pm-1 am, but is near Stoner Park earlier starting from 5:40 pm. I don't know why at 5:40 PM, unless I misunderstood. I just go to the one on Bundy, and therefore my change in dinner time. So this is the scoop. Tacos are $1.00, Burritos are $4.00. There are a bunch of other things (nachos, quesadillas, etc.), but I haven't tried all the other dishes yet. If their dishes are anything like the taco and burrito, I am sure all the other food is good too. My favorite tacos are Asada and Carnitas. I am not a fan of the chicken one. But hey for a buck, why not try all kinds of meats! The tacos are flavorful and the corn toritillas are fresh. In other words- perfection! The burrito comes with tortilla chips and delicious salsa. The burrito is beautifully grilled - to make it perfectly crunchy on the outside. The only thing that is difficult is parking on Bundy, but there are plenty of parking on the side streets (Nebraska). Or you can be naughty like me and just put on your hazard lights and park behind the truck. read more

Easily the best taco truck on the westside. SO EFFING GOOD! Make sure you order the carne asada burrito, as it's a better value than purchasing 4 tacos. Also, make sure you get enough hot sauce so you can be sure to fill your mouth with spicy goodness. Jalapenos help too. I am currently sprawled out next to my girlfriend, both of us in food coma as a result of our just eaten meal at Jualita. As I type this, my girlfriend is mumbling some nonsensical gibberish along the lines of "...best hot sauce ever..hands down best taco truck...omg" and variations thereof. We're full. This ish was GOOD. And we're not that easy to please. We'll definitely be back again. read more

Juquila is by far the best taco truck I've tried on the westside. They do the simple things right. They are usually parked on a residential stretch of Bundy (south of SM Blvd.) I'll literally go out of my way for them when a taco craving calls. I've tried the pastor, lengua, chicken, and carne asada tacos and all are great (although sometimes I wish they would ease up on the salt a bit). True test -- I love these tacos both drunk and sober. read more

This place is great! The taco truck is usually parked on the north/east side of bundy. I've never seen it there before about 9pm, or after 2am. Prices I think are pretty fair (4.50 for a burrito. I recommend the Lengua!) and of course they'll throw some chips and salsa your way as well. Great for grabbing some late-ish night eats on the way home. read more

Location and hours: open everyday except Sunday :( On the Northside of Stoner Park: 6-9pm (sometimes it doesn't get there til 6:30ish) Bundy and Nebraska: 9pm til ??? For the Westside - it's as good as it gets unless someone can point me to another taco truck in the vicinity. But, I will have to say that taco trucks in Koreatown and Echo Park are much better. The carnitas (choose what you like: burrito, tacos, nachos, tortas) are my favorite... flavorful, with savory pieces of fat and good texture. For the vegetarians... my veggie friend had the vegetarian torta and liked it a lot.... but maybe because there might have been some animal product in it ;) Where else can you get burritos for $4.50 and tacos for $1.25 in West LA? read more

This place is good I got to admit that the carne asada is top grade meat more like steak than beef. The pastor was very good. I also tried the carnitas which was good. Very good all around tacos. However it does lack the ethnic flavor in my opinion. One thing I do not like is that there is no green sauce I cannot take the red since the spices can be overbearing to my taste buds. I would give it a four otherwise but Tacos with out the sauce won't cut it. read more

Recently went to this taco truck as I remember they used to be on Bundy & Nebraska. I used to go to this truck in their prior location. The new location at Stoner and Santa Monica. I am very disappointed with the food. This used to be good but this last trip was a very big fail. The taco shell is larger but was very hard. I ordered 6 tacos. The asada was very salty, the carnitas was just a lump of fat. The lengua was not cooked correctly. My friends ordered a fajita which was also terribly bad. My roommates taco order was completely wrong and he also ended up with a lump of fat as a carnitas taco. Also there are no condiment on the taco itself as there was before. It's just shell and some sort of meat. If I can rate without giving them a star I would. read more

The Juquila taco truck is becoming my new favorite midnight snack run destination. Tacos are $1 each! Al pastor is standard, carnitas is good, lengua is pretty awesome. The platter container is sturdy and nicely wrapped with lime and radish slices inside the package and comes with extra salsa in a container. I don't know I can ask for free guacamole on my tacos... I should ask for it next time. read more
