We recently treated our six year old granddaughter to her first live theater experience here for…read morethe performance of "Annie". We hoped that she would enjoy it, and indeed she did. It was so sweet to have her alternate at times from laying her head on Dear Hubby's shoulder and then mine. Sometimes she would sit up tall and lean forward at certain times in the show. After, she said, "I want to stay until the next one", thinking that the cast would be doing a second show right away the same day. She doesn't yet realize how much energy and effort goes into a performance like this, but I loved the positive reaction. The theater, while small scale and local, nonetheless does a great job of putting on entertainment which captivates their audiences. It's a blessing to have this venue close to home, away from the hassles and expense of going into L.A. Ticket prices are reasonable, parking is free, and the staff is friendly. The large cast managed to sing, dance, and act their way through a beloved classic musical on a smallish stage and made it work. Kudos to the visual technology that makes set decoration a new type of visual art. We're looking forward to seeing "Footloose" at the Arts Center soon.

Will definitely keep my eye out for their revival stage performances for next season.

Doing a review on a bowling alley has so many different amenities pertaining to this type of…read morebusiness I'm gonna do this review a little bit different based on the area that I was seated and the location which was in their bar in the middle of the bowling alley. As I entered into the bowling alley, it'd be my first time there I wasn't sure exactly where the bar was located so I came in through the front entrance, which was the main entrance. And as I walked in the first thing that I saw to the left side was a facility called rock 'n' roll pizza so apparently this is the food that this bowling alley has to offer, which is all basically bar food and with the exception of making pizzas. I'm a real stickler when it comes to cleaning this this establishment rock 'n' roll pizza really needs some really deep cleaning especially everywhere throughout that front kitchen area where it's visible for everyone to see at that walks by. And also the appearance of the employee should all maintain a certain type of uniform and not all wearing different pieces of garment. All employees with no exceptions should all be wearing hair, nets, and or hats to cover their hair particles from falling into any of food preparation none of the employees whatsoever we're wearing any hat, nets or hats. This was a big concern for me. Food handling, and food safety is very imperative.. Not sure who the manager was at this location no name tags on the employee so really couldn't identify who they were. There was two female females and a male the mail was making pizza.. So bottom line the review is basically on the rock 'n' roll pizza bar area. It really needs to look be looked at. I will be there again in amend this review for the whole bowling alley.

This was our first time attending this camp, it was recommended by a close friend, but she was just…read moreas displeased as I was this time around. There are a couple of reasons; 1. May daughter is 12 and the majority of the campers were very young. 2. there were too many kids for the location and parts were given by volunteer, is how I was told AFTER the fact. 3. They charge $7/person to attend at 20 min performance and $20 for a DVD which I feel is absolutely ridiculous. 4. no refunds, or even partial refunds will be given. They will allow you to transfer to a different week, however, if we have no intention of returning, what good is that? I asked to please pay it forward to a family in need, doubt that will happen. I would recommend it to those not too serious about theater camp, a "just for fun" type of camp.

ROT has two different experience: lights out or non-lights. The difference...not much. However, they have one strict rule: phones are off and no videography after the introductory video because they have cameras everywhere and they will know. In lights out, a group (max of 5) is given one glow stick and must travel at least 12 mazes with lights completely out. So everything that would potentially scare you...ranging from scare actors jumping out, animatronics attacking from all angles and even loud sounds would startle the bravest. It's my first time and all I got was like 2 flinches and that's it. The drive here is insane unless you are local so I recommend leaving early. Nonlights is where it's the same thing but some guests want to see the full animatronics but less scare. At the end I the maze, there is merch store. Overall, highly recommend lights out and plus it's cheaper and it's worth it.

I tried to see Shrek the musical tonight after having a good experience buying online tickets to…read morethe CALABASAS high school winter music concert. However, tonight was different when I attempted to buy tickets at the box office. The woman working the box office was clearly purposely delaying opening the screen for me to pick my tickets / seats and allowing time for the other ticket sales person next to her to give the good front row seats to two groups of people in the other line. When I confronted them about this and asked why I was not offered the front row seats even though I was in line 1st, they got completely unprofessional and were clearly saving the good seats for their friends further back in line. Then they told me it was better to sit in the back row anyway because I had kids with me. I am giving this three stars because the facility/theater is very nice, the winter musical was a 5-star experience. However... last night's experience was a 1-star experience because the ticket sales people were very rude and the customer service was lacking. I'll definitely go for other shows, and always will buy my tickets online to avoid interacting with the ticket sales people. As a side note, the ticket sales people were adults, not high school students.
