Do not use these people. I had a retaining wall replaced along with some other work done at my…read morehouse back around 2004. The retaining wall is around 100 feet long and part of it is failing already. A 6X8 post fell last week due to dry rot. After further examination, I noticed all the timbers were untreated! This wall is holding back a hillside and any lumber in contact with soil must be pressure treated lumber or something similar. This was not the case. After only 14 years the entire wall has dry rot everywhere. These guys apparently know nothing about proper construction protocol. The whole wall has 6X8 lumber which is pretty good size, should last a lifetime let alone 14 years. They charged good money for this and for it to fail this soon is unacceptable. My original retaining wall was made from 2X6 and 2X10 redwood and part of that wall is still standing in good condition. I also had a deck replaced at the same time from these people and all of the brackets on the stair treads are installed backwards leaving them weak. I spoke with the owner about it and he refused to correct it. Nice. I am still dealing with that problem!! If you want quality workmanship and proper material find someone else.
