This is our first home and our first major renovation. Dwayne Steele is amazing at fixing your home's shortcomings! We had a tight budget and he made it work. The main bathroom got a major remodel (wall repairs, ceiling repairs, wall patches, compete gut of the tub and shower unit, installation of new tub and shower, new cabinets, proper toilet seal) that was not only done on time but also professionally! Dwayne will be there on time, on task, and on budget every day. He will keep you appraised of the progress every day and will make sure to explain what is going on (VERY important for someone who has no idea about remodels!). When we signed the…read morecontract with Dwayne we explained that we needed the remodel to be done in a certain time frame as we were looking to sell our home. He agreed that it would not be an issue explained he had a team to complete the project and expressed that he would not keep our money if we ended up selling our home and deciding to not move forward with the remodel. He told us he would be able to complete the project in 3 weeks. Unfortunately, Dwayne kept delaying the start of our project. He had multiple excuses as to why he couldn't start our job. When he was finally ready to do it 3 weeks turned into 6. Not only that but he was a one man operation with no team. We lost faith that not only would he start the job but that he could finish in a timely manner. When we explained that to Dwayne he was insulting and unprofessional. He refused to refund any of our $5k deposit and failed to understand that as a contractor you can't delay people multiple times. I would never use him again and regret our decision. We found a contractor to complete our bathroom reno who started a week later and finished the job in two weeks. They were professional and opened our eyes to what a "good" contractor is. I can't emphasize enough to do your research and encourage you to find other contractors. If you decide to move forward with this company all I can say is good luck.
