Had an issue but it was resolved. It looks like they put a hold on your account for $265 and then they charge the full amount after weighing your dumpster at the landfill. I had my doubts that mine went over the 3k lbs they give you but I was charged a total of $295. read more

The worst experience with this company. Dumpster was late because one driver couldn't find my home but he never called me. Then they didn't tell me about charging me the day I booked the dumpster even though I booked a month out. Then i had to call about my refund money and still haven't received it. It's been a week and several phone calls and emails giving me a run around. Hopefully i will receive my refund soon and i will not use or recommend this company. read more

One of the great things about YELP as it has matured, is the diversification of the review listings. YELP has grown far beyond the 'foodie' site that formerly defined this wonderful resource. Yelp can source a good mechanic, hardware store, shooting range, dentist, hospice, or junk removal service? Ahhhh..... Enter Junk King! After several exhausting months of massive 'clean-out' there remained several pockets of debris and junk at dad's house. Most of it could be burned, but they've got this draught going this year, including a 'burn-ban' with rather severe penalties. And some items remaining simply weren't burnable: lawnmowers, scrap metals, hydraulic rams, rusted washtubs, boat & motors; all the humus that 42 years in one home can provide. Short of digging a BIG hole by the dark of the moon and planting everything therein (which isn't very responsible; besides being time consuming and probably has a ban, also), I needed to move these items OUT, allowing my exit strategy and my LIFE to continue. After calling several businesses who were very limiting (and expensive) in what they would and would not remove, I tried YELP. Junk removal is a far cry from fried artichokes or artisan pizza, but there was Junk King! A phone call connected me with the owner, Fred Friday. I listed my inventory and the guys were on their way the next morning. Shortly before the appointed time, the driver called and asked if they might begin a little early, should it be convenient for me! Ten minutes later a clean, non-smelly truck was backing up my drive! The guys were wearing clean uniforms, and were very professional as they examined my scattered 'projects'. Then, they set to work. They worked steadily, sometimes together, sometimes separately; asking anew whenever they had a question regarding an object. They swept and raked where applicable. And despite filling their truck to the brim, were finished in under three hours! As they finished the final sweep-up on my drive, they explained that Junk King isn't a land-fill automatic service. They sort the loads, and recycle and redistribute applicable items picked up. That's a far better solution than a big hole in the back lawn!! I must report one additional incident regarding my service that sums up my encounter with Junk King, however. As the morning progressed, it turned out that Junk King was unable to process the boat. Many businesses would have simply said, "Sorry, no can do!" Not, Junk King. Mr Friday personally drove to my door and apologized. He then "make a few calls" in order to locate a means of removal. I called Junk King to schedule a pickup for an apartment community. I explained that furniture and items that the dumpster company will not remove for us had been set out and currently we are without maintenance personnel as we are undergoing a staff change. An appt was set up and noted that our manager offices are locked due to COVID-19, but someone will answer if they knock upon arrival. I drove an hr to be sure I was on site for our appt window which was 11-1p. No one showed , no one called and when I called to check in I was told I was found in their computer and no one knew what had happened but that "someone would get right back to me". Nothing. It's been 3 days now so I'm no longer anticipating a call back :( Very UNprofessional! read more

This company is fantastic!!! I am having construction done to the house and needed a lot of nice (not new) furniture taken away. I had called Goodwill first. Goodwill came and were so picky that they only took three pieces. I was so frustrated because I needed the stuff out so I called Junk King.
