I gave Junk King Baltimore a call about getting rid of a large item from our house. They got back to me quickly with a pretty standard price (it was pretty much hitting everybody's minimum charge), and gave me a date/time that was quick and worked for me, minimizing time off from work. They showed up on time, were professional, and quickly took care of things. I recommend them! read more

We've used Junk King several times since moving and have always been pleased with their services. They show up on time, they make quick work of bigger jobs, and their service people are friendly and kind. No complaints about our experience - we will be using them again! read more

A family member needed a refrigerator moved out of his house. He had called several places, even making appointments with a few, but they never showed up at their scheduled day/time. Awful! I found Junk King on Yelp, of course, and I'm so glad I did. Anthony answered the phone when we called to inquire about a price, quoting lower than the no shows quoted. It was easy to make an appointment, he showed up on time on the scheduled day, was professional and hauled that junky away! There are reliable people still in this world. Anthony proved that! read more

Very communicative and fast. By time i made it to the door. Everything was gone. Perfect! Smooth transaction. read more

Junk King Baltimore - Items that were moved - Junk Removal & Hauling Near Me - Baltimore, Maryland

Edit: I received a call from the owner clarifying things. As the eviction was not a regular eviction due to the weather and the lack of sheriffs, they were not locked into legal requirements, which increase the fees significantly. I was actually charged a regular rate. I've moved them to four stars over my original two because of this update and the fact that the owner called enough to call me personally. I lost my father several months ago. During this time I discovered that a family member who had been entrusted with caring for his residence had decided to squat there. It took months to (legally) get her out, and for the day I was finally able to evict her, I hired this company to help. I have no complaints about their performance on the day of. However, I received a call today from one of the employees about completing the clean out. During this call I was informed that I had been charged an eviction rate. This rate is rather exorbitant in comparison to the regular rate that they charge. When he quoted me the price going forward, he made a big deal about the fact that they wouldn't be locked into an eviction rate anymore - and the difference was astounding. So my recommendation is that if you hire this company for an eviction you not let them know, otherwise you will be severely overpriced. My original quote was $120 per hour for two guys. Apparently, they also charge you a certain amount for each truck that is loaded and taken away, which I was not informed of before. I only received that information today during the follow-up call for more business. read more

The personnel were nice, but not the price. I called for a quote to haul an old standard-sized refrigerator. I was told they did on-site quotes and if I didn't like the quote for a I didn't have to pay. So, the movers get here and give me a quote of $175! I refused and apologized for them having wasted a trip. Then they ask "Well, how much did plan to spend?" I said "Not $175." Within 5 minutes, I receive a call from their manager offering to move the item for their minimum price of $98. When I refused, I was again asked "How much do you want to spend". I told them "Not twice what the item is worth". Today BGE came to pick it up for free...and gave me $50.00 for it. read more

Fantastic Service! The guys were on time (early) and very professional. They did an excellent job tearing down my shed and removing every remnant of it. I am very pleased and will definitely use them again. read more

They were very professional and landed close enough to their quote. Nice guys who made moving more enjoyable and pleasant.

The absolute worst company I've ever dealt with. Asked for a dirt removal off about 4 tons. They knew what they were coming for. Sent 2 junkies out and they immediately said oh that is not what we were expecting and called their boss. Then they tell me their not interested. Today I get a text from them asking why I cancelled. An absolute joke! read more

NEVER AGAIN! Customer service is lacking to say the least. I searched around for a dumpster rental to clean out my basement. I chose Junk King because of the ratings and the fact that they try to recycle the items rather than dump them. I have plenty of things that I knew they could indeed recycle and give to charity of whatever. Booking was easy and I scheduled for saturday MORNING! I notified the people that I had to help me load the dumpster to be here saturday morning. When overtime was offered at work for saturday, I declined and I rescheduled an appointment at Dept of Motor Vehicles. Today, saturday morning we are all here and ready!! We waited and nothing. I then get a call from Chris Jones. He says they were unloading the dumpster they had and I was next on the list and they would be here around 1115am. Now I'm mad because we have been here and ready since 9am. My so called MORNING appointment is now looking to be afternoon which I did not book for and I am holding my people up. Come 1215pm, an hour past the time I was told he would be here, I have not heard from him and my people are leaving. I call Junk King to cancel. The person at customer service was nice and asked me if I wanted him to call to see what the hold up was. I declined. The person who told me he would be here at 1115a should have called me and let me know what was happening. I told them to cancel the dumpster and refund my card. As soon as I hung up with customer service, I received a email for the cancellation and then my door bell rings. I answer and I tell the driver that I just cancelled the dumpster. He says to me, "oh I was going to give you an extra $50 off"....REALLY?!?! I explained how my people who were going to help me load the dumpster are now gone, I rescheduled a MVA appointment AND, I turned down 10 hours of overtime at work!!!! What exactly is 50 bucks going to do for me at this point?? All he could say was sorry about that, jumped in his truck and sped away. So now I am back to square one. I basement full of stuff and overtime money lost. Not to mention I now have to find another dumpster company and hope my friends want to help me out again once I do get one. My Junk King experience was not a very good one!! read more

Very responsive, came next day during specific time range and removed all items quickly.

I called them after Habitat for Humanity REFUSED to pick up a sofa and love seat that they previously said was okay for donation. Spoke to Desire who was friendly and helpful. They were able to pick up the items THE SAME DAY! The tech who came was prompt, polite, and professional. Would recommend this company to anyone! read more

It was a pleasure working with (Darryl, Travon, Nick) the gentlemen from Junk King. They did an amazing job cleaning out my garage! Very professional, reliable (30 minutes early), and considerate. Such a great experience and I highly recommend this company. I look forward to doing business with you in the future. Thank you fellas! read more

A team of 3 hard workers showed up on time and removed a very large Viking refrigerator. Apparently the ice maker must've been leaking for awhile so the flooring underneath the refrigerator was soft, making the job significantly more challenging. The crew had a great attitude and did not complain. They were focused on getting the job done. I will definitely hire this company again. read more

They came to our place on time and honored the price they quoted. We're so happy we used them and would recommend Junk King Baltimore.

Very nice company to work with. The two gentlemen who came out were friendly and prompt and gave a great price. Would highly recommend.

Rodney and Malik were great! They came to pick up my couch within just half an hour of me calling them. I really appreciated the fast and reliable service. Junk King Baltimore gave me the lowest quote out of everyone in the area, and I paid what was quoted. They were very responsive, professional, and helpful. I highly recommend! read more

They told me that their regular price was $148 (which to me was a ridiculous price), but would do the job for $128 (a competitor quoted me $80). When I said that $128 was too high and I wasn't interested they kept sending messages lowering the price. I keep saying that I was no longer interested in a business that didn't give me the lowest price to start. They kept sending messages lowering the price, each time to an eventual price of $68. Would never do business with a company that didn't give me the lowest price to start. I definitely don't trust them. read more

Junk King was great -- yelp messaged them on Friday evening -- they immediately made an appointment t for the next morning -- to give a no risk quote --but if I liked the quote, they were prepared to take all the junk away right then. Prompt, efficient, professional and a very reasonable price. read more

I am speaking on a basic human level, as for legalities I am not a lawyer. Would you give away your deceased mother's vintage diamond wedding ring, most of her jewelry and her handwritten journal? Would you give away all your family photos and negatives from the 40's & 50's? Would you give away over $100,000 in personal items? I'm sure not one person just said yes to those questions. I would expect a company that is asked to "junk" these items would verify that the owner no longer wanted these items. Not the Junk King, he did not take the junk, he targeted valuables. I ask you please DO NOT HIRE Junk King because after all of that the owner, Eric, of this company said for $1500 he could get back my mothers ring, of course I paid and got a bag of fake rings and the one that was suppose to be my mothers I had never even seen before. I could go on but writing this is making me sick to my stomach. read more
