Really nice guys, would definitely hire again! I got a quote here on Yelp to remove a sofa and loveseat, and ended up calling them to schedule a date. The Yelp feature didn't work very smoothly, but that wasn't the fault of the Junk Doctors. They scheduled a no-pressure pick-up time where they come and re-quote you after they see the items in person. We received calls and a text about an hour before their original estimated pick-up time, but that worked out well for us. We agreed to the final price (which was the same as what we were quoted online) and they very quickly took away both pieces. We tipped them well. Exceptional in every way! I booked a 2:00-4:00 window, because we were commuting about an hour or so to get form our new house to our old one where the load was and the 12:00-2:00 window would open too soon. As soon as they assigned the job, Joshua (of the Raleigh, NC branch) called and said they were running a little ahead of schedule, so they could come earlier if that would work for us. I explained our timing and said I'd love to go earlier, but couldn't guarantee I code make it for a 12:00 window, but I could go earlier than 2:00. He said he'd call me back about 12:30 and we'd figure it out from there. So already I'm impressed with how accommodating they were to my schedule. But that's just the beginning. As promised Joshua called back as I was on my way to the house, saying they could be there in 40-45 minutes, which worked perfectly because I was about 30 minutes out myself. He and Ben F. arrived shortly after I did, took a look at the load, determined they could take everything I was trying to get rid of, gave me a quote, and had the truck loaded in something like 15 minutes. And the entire time I don't know that I've ever seen two guys more enthusiastic about doing a job than these two. They were efficient, professional and downright pleasant to work with. I could not have asked for a better experience and made sure to ask their names so I could make sure they got the credit in the 5-star review I was going to write that (this) afternoon. A lot can go sideways when you're moving, especially when you're closing on both houses within 2 weeks of each other. And a lot of things about this move were great, but I didn't figure having a load of junk hauled would be the easiest item on the checklist. Ben (F) and Joshua are my new heroes, because that was a punch list item I was not looking forward to. Well worth the money spent (especially since I'd have to do it myself otherwise!) We added a futon and a broken flat screen into the mix. They came early and took them less than 10 minutes to remove everything. The service itself was fantastic. However, when I booked the job and told the company exactly how much stuff was being used. I was quoted $360. When they arrive to move my stuff, I was quoted $750 and when I called the company to ask what happened they told me that the number that they give me is an estimate and that they were supposed to have given me a range, they did end up taking some money off of it, but the truth is that they gave me a really hard time, even though they were the ones who missed quoted me. I would not be using junk doctors again, nor would I recommend them to friends or family. read more

They arrived outside their appointment window. There was no communication prior to their arrival. When I contacted management, they were rude and inappropriate. Because my tone on the phone was calm but assertive and, as a female, I did not speak in a baby doll voice, I was told to "calm down" and was given the hysterical woman treatment. I do not recommend. I'm a disabled senior and I've had 2 jobs done by junk doctors. The first was they removed furniture from an entire living room of my apartment and did a great job at fair price $400 even cleaned up before they left. The second time it was a different crew they only had to remove one queen size bed with mattress, box spring, and a wooden pallet i had for extra support. It only took them five minutes to do the job. They charged me $408 and left an absolute mess did not take out one piece of trash and under the bed maybe was not their responsibility but thwould've been nice if they would have offered. read more

Really happy with my experience with Junk Doctors. Today I woke up and I thought, really need to get rid of this junk I've been meaning to get rid of for half a year. I've got company coming! So I took advantage of the gloomy day and searched for junk removal services. Got a bunch of noncommittal quotes but what was important was I needed someone quick. Somehow I came across junk doctors. They allow you to book online for same day appointments. It's a really immediate process so don't book it unless you mean it. Luckily I meant it because I was surprised. They don't ask for credit card information or anything before you're confirmed. I was like is this real? But I got a text immediately when I made the appointment and when I called the number someone picked up on the first ring so it was real. They were coming! They can't really quote before they come so I was nervous. I hoped it wasn't too much. But they say if you don't like the quote they'll just leave! I booked for 4pm but they came at 2:30. Being early was okay because they gave me a call 30 minutes before to check in. Two friendly guys arrived at my door. They were very nice and respectful. I didn't feel uncomfortable at all with them being in my apartment. One of them even took his shoes off. It was a rainy day but they didn't track anything inside. I showed them my junk and they quoted me quickly. The quote was reasonable and not a nightmare number I imagined. Once I agreed, they got started right away. It was just the two of them and they had zero issues dealing with my junk even though I'm in a third floor walk up apartment. The job was done in about 20 minutes. I was really impressed. There are squatters living in our property that does not have trash pickup, and years of rotting trash, both loose and in bags, have piled up. Mark and Jacob were not afraid (okay, maybe a little afraid--it was disgusting) to get down and dirty. They filled the entire truck in an hour and a half, and were wonderful and friendly the whole time. They were reluctant to give us gloves and let us help, but as we were bored, they gave in. Beware the quote you get online and the quote they give you when they show up. When they showed up they gave me a quote of over $400 to remove a full size mattress & box spring two foam chairs-each of which I can easily lift, one foam loveseat, 2 bookcases and a tall narrow chest of drawers. When I declined and asked them to just take away the mattress and box spring they said that would be $130.
