I came to Al's Auto Salvage on Lucas Hunt in January to get two of my car windshields replaced. As a person who's been to this location prior and has worked and been a trainer in the customer service field for 20 plus years, it is my pleasure to give a shout out to Nick and Al's Auto Salvage. Nick made my day and allowed my experience to be delightful. The smile on my face begun when I pulled into Al's Auto Salvage and Nick came out to my car and he made me feel like I was part of the Al's Auto Salvage family. Nick was warming, opening and welcoming. Nick then provided me with a step by step agenda of what was going to be done to both my cars. Nick then provided me with how long it would take to have my windshields replaced just in case I had other obligations. Nick also listened to my questions and feedback which showed me that he respects me, valued me and respected my time as a customer. Me and Nick had an open conversation while he was fixing my windshields. After completing the windshields, Nick asked for my return business which I told him I would do so along with recommending others. After a month, I forgot that I didn't get my new windshield wipers put on. I then went back to Al's Auto Salvage without a scheduled appointment. Nick saw me and got me right in. Nick put on my windshield wipers in less than 5 minutes and got me on my way. Because I think a good deed should not go unknown, I decided to bring Nick lunch and write this letter to show my appreciation. I ask and recommend that if you need a new or fixed windshield, please look at Al's Auto Salvage where the price is reasonable, and the service is exceptional. I needed a new rim for my car. I called and they were so helpful and found a replacement. My plan…read morewas to pick up the rim and take it to an auto body shop to get it put on my tire and then onto my car. While I was at liberty, they offered to do all of that as well. Also, they wound up repairing the tire because it had a nail in it! They noticed that my battery was not screwed in tightly and, sometimes it would keep my car from starting. I thought I was going to have to get a new battery but they let me know that it just wasn't screwed in tight. So they also offered to do that. I'm so grateful that I didn't have to spend an arm and a leg. I will recommend these guys to whoever I can and return if I ever have any future problems. Top notch service. Above and beyond. Friendly service…read more Getting rear-ended is never how I wanted to start my day. However, the service and care I received from Freer was beyond expectations. I went to 3 other local shops for a quote and no one took care of me the way Freer did. Called the insurance of the person who hit me to get me answers, helped adjust my bumper before I left their lot to make it a bit better for me to drive (without me even asking, might I add). They used Carwise which texted me updates on timeline and estimates. Called me and coordinated with insurance/rental car like no other. My repair ended up taking about a week longer than expected. More damage was found but it was clearly communicated to me that it was possible, and they gave me an update each step. They even had an after hours pick up which worked perfect for my schedule. Left me a card and a beautiful rose (such as kind touch). My car was clean and shiny on the outside (sad it won't last long due to all the snow and salt) with the inside vacuumed and smelling great! Truly can't recommend Freer enough. Kind, trustworthy, knowledgeable, and truly excellent service. I will trust Freer with all auto body repairs going forward!
