However, those group exercise classes tipped the scale in YMCA's favor. They have group classes almost every hour from 5 am to 8ish pm! And they have my favorite class of all time, Body Pump! Those classes really get your muscles working. They also have aquatics classes (i.e. arobics), pilates, cycling, almost anything you can imagine. I don't have kids, but the amount of kid classes, activities, daycare, care while you are working out etc. is phenomenal. And it believe its like $12/month extra for them to take care of your kids for up to 2 hours while you are working out. That is nothing!! Amazing! Anyways, I am a huge YMCA fan, if you couldn't tell.

The instructors are very good with keeping children focused on the activities. As a parent, I understand this is not an easy task to do for the children in the age range of 3-4 years old. All children in the class listen very well and participate in the activities for the entire 45 minutes! I am very pleased with the program here. As for the staff, I would say they are not as friendly as I expected. Maybe I'm too used to smiley and willing people in Boise? The staff there don't seem to engage in the conversation much, not to mention they lack a bit of friendliness. Regardless, I plan on keeping my kiddo in the program for a while. They go outside sometimes to play with chalk, plenty of toys to play with, they play out in the big main area, color, etc....and she is well taken care of. They ask about routines. And overall this has been an amazing experience and they watch your children as if they are your own! My daughter will snuggle up with them because she is comfortable and well taken care of. I use the flex day care because we don't need full time day care, only when my husband and I had to work at the same time! There were several toys that were broken, worn, or missing. Pieces of trash and small toy parts were on the floor. My toddler picked up a small piece of plastic off the floor and thankfully handed it to me instead of putting it in his mouth. Parents were not required to remove shoes in a lot of the play area, so kids were crawling and playing on a dirty floor. Several of the toys in the toddler section were visibly dirty. Overall, was bummed. They need to replace a lot of the toys and have staff walk the floor more often to check for small pieces of trash and broken toys. Staff was nice. We won't be back.

Since the beginning of December, we have heard them ask when they could come this year... and our grandson, now 5, said he wanted to do the lighted trolley. Unfortunately, our kids' family had a water leak that caused some turmoil in the schedule... and on New Year's Day, there was a question about whether or not the horses would be available because of weather... AMAZING communication from the company. UNBELIEVABLE empathy when we couldn't re-schedule, and an offer to do the carriage ride. This company now feels like part of the family as they understand the tradition they started just a year ago, but will continue for many years. Turns out the weather changed and we got to go on the trolley, got to take pictures by the horses, and have friends coming to Idaho to share in this experience if they are able. Grandad and Grammy's dream of the perfect new tradition in a new home! What a Christmas blessing this trip has become! Thank you, Clinton and family for making this a dream come true! CARRIAGE RIDE NEXT YEAR, and we may also add a trolley. BOTH were delightful in different ways.
