We tried some sushi rolls and they were fresh and delicious. I picked up some organic peanut butter and snacks. We also picked up organic peeled tomatoes and bread flour to make marinara sauce and pizza dough. The cashier was kind and and was playful with our daughters. There was a man on line that recognized my husband's veteran hat and struck up a conversation about his service in the military. Before hitting the road we used the bathroom and it was very clean. I thought ordering online for pick up would help me circumvent the bad experience, but nope. There's been many occasions when my online order was never fulfilled and I would need to cancel the order altogether because there was apparently no staff available to work on the order. When I do get my order fulfilled, the pick up experience is just awful. I would thank the staff member but 90% of the time I get a side eye and no response (there's only ONE lady that's actually nice and would acknowledge me). The list just goes on! Turns out, I most definitely was. Sara's has inexpensive produce of decent quality. Sometimes the lettuce or kale is a little limp, so I just skip it that week. I can shave about $10 off my produce bill for the week over shopping for the same items at Wegmans. Sure, the selection is rather limited. But it covers the basics well. And there's some unique produce available that you can't find easily elsewhere (mayme sapote and prickly pear cactus pads, for example).
